Mission: To serve people living with or at risk for HIV with dignity and respect.
Results: immunodeficiency virus (HIV) with dignity and respect. Established in 1984 by members of the LGBTQ community to respond to the growing AIDS epidemic, AOC is the oldest provider of HIV care coordination and supportive services for individuals in Tarrant, Erath, Johnson, Palo Ponto, Parker, Somerville and Wise Counties. Today, with 43 employees and more than 250 dedicated volunteers, AOC operates over 20 programs aimed at preventing the spread of HIV through education, testing, and treatment, while improving the quality of life and reducing barriers to care for long-term survivors through services in the continuum of care.
Target demographics: Low to very-low income individuals and individuals without any income living with HIV/AIDS of all ages, race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation within Fort Worth, the greater Tarrant County area and seven surrounding rural counites

Geographic areas served: Tarrant, Hood, Erath, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell and Wise Counties in North Central Texas
Programs: Case Management, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling, Insurance Continuation Assistance, Emergency Financial Assistance, Medical Transportation, Patient Navigator, AOC's Sandy Lanier Nutrition Center (food pantry) and Nutritional Counseling, AOC's Geisel-Morris Dental Clinic, Prevention (including confidential testing for HIV/Syphilis), community education and outreach programs, Housing Asssitance, and Pyscho-social support Groups.
