The mission and how it's carried out both demonstrate how valuable this organization is to those they serve, young people who will be the leaders of our future.
I went to an event at an elementary school with my co-workers and the kids were so involved and excited to help make sandwiches for homeless shelters. The ASAS Leader was very inspiring with the kids on this team embodied community spirit. A great event and even greater organization!
After-School All-Stars provides safe and incredible experiences for students across the nation! The dedicated staff are awesome to work with and care deeply for the work done everyday.
Wonderful group that really changes kids’ lives. They truly care about kids and about the communities they serve, and their employees.
I love All-Stars! I have had the pleasure of sitting in on programs here in the LA area and it has been remarkable to see. I am so impressed by the talented and thriving students I’ve met, as well as the robust programs After-School All-Stars provides.
ASAS is an excellent non profit dedicated to providing high-quality programming for youth everyday afterschool. They have committed staff, visionary leadership, and a responsive evaluation team that ensures meaningful results are achieved. I strongly and unequivocally recommend them as an awesome non-profit!
An organization that provides unique opportunities for students to build their leadership skills and impact their communities. I've have the privilege to work with a number of employees from ASAS and am always impressed with their dedication to their students and the passion they have for their mission!
I’m Eric Esteban and for the past seven years, I’ve served as Director of Media Relations at FOX Sports Florida, in addition to being a Board Member for South Florida After-School All-Stars for the past two years. Partnering with After-School All-Stars is one of the best things to ever happen to me, both personally and professionally. Nowhere has that been more evident than with the launch and subsequent success of our Junior Broadcasting Program.
The Junior Broadcast Program launched two years ago with the support of the Orlando Magic (NBA) and Miami Marlins (MLB) and has become a life-changing initiative for After-School All-Stars students in each market. The core mission of the Junior Broadcasting Program is to provide kids with an opportunity to learn everything there is to know about broadcasting and the variety of career paths within the industry. The program is highly engaging and as the kids are learning directly from the professionals who bring you the broadcast of the games, event shadowing them on game days—so it is as hands-on as you can get! This program is one of the many powerful ways in which After-School All-Stars helps kids find careers they love and be better prepared for a successful future.
Kids have had the chance to visit the Amway Center and Marlins Park, meet our broadcasters, visit the broadcast booth and production truck during games to see how a telecast comes to life and even had the chance to meet some of their favorite athletes. I’ve seen tears of happiness, smiles galore, laughs for the days and thoughtful questions, each leaving a lasting impact on myself and our participating employees. One moment that I will never forget is a student seeking me out at the end of the tour and saying, “This is it. This is what I want to do when I grow up.” He gave me a hug and we went our separate ways, but after a full day’s work and an evening showing kids around a stadium, I didn’t feel exhaustion or lament the long hours I had just put in on a random Tuesday in April. I felt like I had made a difference. I felt like I had done a small part in empowering someone’s future. I felt like it was the most fulfilling thing I had done in a long, long time. And it’s that same feeling that makes me extremely proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish over the years via our Junior Broadcasting Program.
The first 2 words that come to mind when I think of After-School All-Stars are impact and grit. I've worked with ASAS through my role in Social Responsibility at T-Mobile. ASAS is one of our key youth partners that we work with on Generation T- a career exploration program for middle and high school students.
Through my role, I've worked with ASAS for almost a year, and this organization is lean, agile, creative, and effective. Earlier this month I attended a Generation T visit with ASAS at our signature store in San Francisco. The young people got to tour the store, discuss careers at T-Mobile and learn about marketing products. They young people were engaged and thoughtful, and it was clear that ASAS is their community.
Working with ASAS staff has also been great. The organization's centralized communication model is efficient, and the staff are professional, agile, and have clear passion for their work.
ASAS is, without a doubt, a 5 star organization!
ASAS is a great organization, run by people who care, and the kids truly benefit from the many opportunities offered to them in this high quality after-school program.
ASAS continues to please me with the programming they are providing to children in the program. Very creative educational approaches combined with social and emotional enrichment is being accomplished. The testimonies from children I have interacted with makes me realize the impact the coordinators are marking in the lives of the kids! Truly emotional!
We've had the honor of working with After-School All-Stars for the past several years and proudly support their programs that teach and nurture STEM skills among our nation's youth. In addition, our teams have had the ability to meet and work directly with the students in their programs and we have found those experiences to be deeply rewarding and impactful.
After-School All-Stars is very well run and has a truly dedicated team of professionals that are driven to make a difference in the lives of youth,
ASAS is an amazing program. Such an important objective--providing young children from disadvantaged backgrounds activities, help with school, a dream. And it gets results--it truly makes a difference in the children it touches. This can change the world--one child at a time.
After-School All-Stars is one of the most meaningful programs I've encountered. We have planned a few events with them for our company's employees, and have consistently been impressed. Their staff is extremely professional, organized, and passionate about the work they do. The impact they create on students is incredible.
Working with After-School All-Stars (ASAS) has been a great experience. We were looking for an organization that would help under served youth throughout the U.S., while at the same time allow our employees to engage with ASAS kids where we have large numbers of employees as well as Mazda Motorsports race car drivers. We have been able to explore career opportunities with ASAS kids with our executives, motorsports partners and dealers, as well as engaged the ASAS kids on anti-distracted driving efforts. The staff at ASAS is always responsive and meets deadlines and expectations of the Mazda Foundation.
I have had the pleasure of working the professionals at After-School All-Stars on both local and national levels in Las Vegas, Orlando, and Los Angeles. I am always impressed by their commitment to ensuring the young people in their programs have a safe, welcoming environment to play, learn, and grow. I love getting their communications -- filled with the smiling faces of their participants!
I was able to view first hand what an amazing program After School All-Stars runs last year during a site visit. I also participated in one of their charitable tournaments and had a blast.
They really make a difference in the community and do great work with the children they serve.
I the concept of ASAS. As Americans we are putting out a lot of money and effort to bring these children up to snuff. They desperately need a place to go after school that is safe and that will encourage them to complete homework assignments and participate in school extracurricular activities. It’s vital they learn that their schooling is a commitment. They must learn to honor that commitment. Only then will they begin to see the fruits of their labor. We must support them in that effort and that is why I truly believe After School is so important in helping these children to meet that challenge.

Working with ASAS has been a wonderful experience! The staff are helpful, resourceful, and passionate. As a non-profit ourselves, it really helps to have a partner that understands our mission and will help us step by step serve youth and students! After working with ASAS for 3 years, I am ready for another 3! Thank you ASAS for all of your hard work and passion!
I had the opportunity to work with the Youth Advisory Board students and staff this summer in Washington D.C. Such an amazing organization with talented leadership and staff members who care deeply about their students. I highly recommend everyone to familiarize themselves with this organization and support in any way they can.
From the Executive Director to development staff and onsite program coordinators ASAS DC is top notch. Not only are they smart and strategic with their programs and how they help individual schools but they are extremely passionate about their work. The opportunities and programs they provide are incredible from STEM classes to athletic events. I truly believe they are making a huge difference in this community.
As a Portfolio Manager at the David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality, I have partnered with After-School All-Stars for four years. During this time, they have implemented the Youth Program Quality Intervention, a continuous quality improvement process, in local chapters across the U.S. Their evaluation and program staff, both nationally and locally, are thoughtful, dedicated and care deeply about creating positive settings where children can learn, grow and lead. Additionally, After-School All-Stars has been an important voice and national advocate for after-school opportunities for all children and youth. We are proud to partner with such a great non-profit!
We have the great honor of partnering with ASAS across the country. Their teams, particularly in DC and NYC metro-areas, SF/Oakland and LA, are tremendously responsive and always willing to try new things to deliver the best program for their kids. We are always proud to be associated with ASAS and enjoying co-hosting activities such as career exploration and hands-on STEM activities. I would encourage anyone to get involved with ASAS!
Our association, ESA, has worked with ASAS in Washington, DC and in Los Angeles, CA. They have done such a good job bringing and organizing students at multiple events, that we are exploring other geographies where we can partner. We have co-hosted activities such as STEM fairs and guest lectures. ASAS is completely reliable. They take care to make sure the students are engaged in rewarding activities and that the private sector sponsors are satisfied with the goals, objectives, and outcomes. The kids clearly come first, but ASAS is so professional that the sponsors feel like we're a top priority too. It is such a pleasure to work with this top notch charity.
I’ve been working with ASAS for 3 years, both as a donor and as a member of a local advisory board. I have had the privilege of seeing programs first-hand and know that they are changing students’ lives. In particular, their STEM programs are giving students exposure to classes such as coding, robotics, engineering, and music production, which are helping kids develop 21st century skills that will prepare them for tomorrow’s workforce. ASAS is a careful steward of their donors’ money, always putting the needs of their students and partner schools and the intent of their donors at the forefront of their work.
After-School All-Stars is an amazing and absolutely necessary program that gives kids across the country tons of extra learning opportunities.
Every student matters and gets the individual attention they need. Great program that is going to change the lives of many students.
ASAS is the best non-profit I have worked with! They are a spectacular organization that puts their students first. The excitement I saw in the kids at the CEO Relay Race I worked with them on was amazing. I recommend everyone find time to partner with ASAS. I'm looking forward to the next event!
My experience with the After-School All-Stars program is meeting and supporting the training of the amazing educators who inspire and motivate youth to engage and learn in areas of their interest. Photographers, chefs, DJs, sportspeople, gamers, dancers, artists to name a few! http://infinitylearn.org/ Such enthusiastic, open-to-learning young people!
After-School All-Stars provides unprecedented services to our nation's youth, in the most needy neighborhoods. The results are spectacular. And as a company that has chosen to raise money in support of ASAS's mission, the charity never ceases to show their genuine appreciation of our donations, as well as the results of what those donations lead to.
I work for FOX Sports Florida, and have been involved with the After School All-Stars program since I started here two years ago. ASAS is an organization that I 100 percent stand behind because I have seen what a positive influence it is in the lives' of children who need it. Last Spring, I was able to take part in the first "After School All-Stars Girl Power Panel" to celebrate the 30th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The young girls who attended the panel were so passionate about ASAS, their goals, and how ASAS can help them achieve their goals. It was very refreshing to see an organization that was encouraging young women to value both hard work and themselves. I left that day incredibly inspired!

After-school All-stars is a high-impact organization which runs afterschool programs across the country, serving 70,000 kids mostly in low-income communities. We've had the pleasure of getting to know the organization in depth and came away extremely impressed by its scale, impact, and incredibly dedicated and high-caliber team.
Juvenile crime peaks between 3-6pm, and ASAS not only provides youth a safe haven during these critical hours, but takes it a step further by implementing evidence-based curricula that incorporates academic enrichment, as well as fitness and nutrition. ASAS youth are happier, healthier, and more equipped to succeed in life.
The diversity of activities available at After School All-Stars and the enthusiasm of the group leaders makes this an excellent and safe after-school option for my daughter!
ASAS is so needed in this country - with budgets being cut and enrichment activities being removed from schools, this non-profit offers amazing ways for kids to explore their creativity, get exercise and find out things they are good at and passionate about. This helps keep children engaged in school and helps them build life-long relationships with mentors and friends. So many go on to great achievements like attending college and becoming entrepreneurs. I love and appreciate ASAS' efforts and hope it continues to grow and help more kids across the country (And perhaps beyond someday)!
As the founding, former Board Chair of the North Texas Chapter for After School All-Stars, I have stretched every inch out of this organization in order to get our Chapter up and running. I can honestly say that the desire, integrity and know-how of Ben Paul’s organization is second to none. My team in Dallas could not have gotten it done without the national team’s support and enthusiastic commitment to our success.
After four years of operations, the N. Texas Chapter is now a growing concern; no longer in the ‘start up’ mode. The leadership provided to us was instrumental in getting through the early phase growing pains. The national team was familiar with our challenges and provided us the transparency and the direction we needed to navigate the path to our success.
I will continue my support of After School All-Stars through Committee work and support in the months ahead.

We are pleased to partner with After-School All-Stars. The corporate staff is wonderful to work with and are very responsive. They are tracking our global metrics so we can share the impact of our work in our communities. They are terrific at communications and social media and have done a great job sharing our program outcomes. They are open to new ideas and suggestions and yet can be honest and candid as needed to ensure a successful partnership.
ASAS has been a wonderful community partner to work with. Their staff is not only professional, but full of personable individuals who are fun and easy to work with!
Their dedication to the cause makes everyone involved as a volunteer that much more enthusiastic about putting efforts toward helping the students involved in the programs.
5-stars all around!
After-School All-Stars South Florida is the best! They are extremely active in the community and make a tangible difference with so many kids.
The after school program at Porter middle school is well organized and structured. Nancy is the coordinator and is always willing to help and actually listens to parents' concerns. She and her staff are professional and caring. They not only organize activities at school but also do field trips on some weekends that offer our children the opportunity to go out and experience things that us parents sometimes are unable to do with them, such as museums or for example Joshua Tree National Park!!!
