Afrikin, is a unique one of a kind organization based in south Florida that sets the premier stage to learn about Africa and its diaspora through arts and culture. Each event has enligtened me on who, what, and how I function in this current space. They foster educational concepts through these events and leaves the audience in awh of wanting more. It is always a pleasure to attend their events because you leave with a renewed sense of being and an appreciation of the diaspora of who you are today. I look forward to attending all their upcoming events.

Afrikin is doing much needed work for humanity by supporting, empowering, connecting, and sharing the cultures and histories of such a diverse global population as the African diaspora. Where we were once thought to be separated, the African cultures and traditions have survived and continue to connect the diaspora. Afrikin shares all this with the community wonderfully. Their work is by the community for the community.

Afrikin, the name speaks for itself as this organization truly feels like a kinship. They continue to remind us of our roots and purpose through an array of intentionally curated events from art exhibits to lectures to music festivals. Each event leaving you feeling even more connected, enlightened and inspired than before. Gratitude for their presence as they are doing the work that needs to be done in not only the community of South Florida but throughout the African diaspora.

Over the years, AfriKin has consistently expanded our understanding of the diverse cultures passed down by our ancestors. They have actively involved both the youth and the young at heart, emphasizing an all-female group dynamic and encompassing a wide range of elements such as cuisine, arts, and much more.

I am genuinely thrilled and eagerly anticipate what they have in store for us this year. I highly encourage you to become a part of the work they are engaged in. Their commitment to growth ensures that they continue to deliver larger, improved, and truly remarkable events.

The encouragement & displaying of & for the arts is sadly a struggling field. Those in the art world know this, those not in it barely know it exists as it not taught or valued the same way as financial gains & status are, it’s not as respected as occupational ranks, degrees held, or zip codes that one resides in are.
Along the way of developing these “developed countries” most humans lost their appreciation for the humanities. The Afrikin mission aims to challenge this western conditioning, numbing, & stifling, of the beauty of all we are, of all we can be.
Dedicated to bringing forth a collective curation of the arts be it through visual, musical, written, spoken, culinary, textiles, educational, technological medias... Afrikin strives to honor & promote it all.
Using a humble yet strong, graceful, open, approach to involving & informing the community through its local presence in south Florida & through its genuinely welcoming website available for all nations, Afrikin offers a wide range of current happenings, mindful conversations, intriguing reads, conscious shopping.. to consider a donation into this organization is really worth a deeper thought for each effort that is put forth, be it monetarily, physically showing up, spreading the word, it will pay forward in ways we don’t even yet know. Supporting each other when & how we can is a very beautiful & crucial thing. The mission of not letting the humanities & the arts fade out & remain in the history books is a worthy one & Afrikin has been a great ambassador of sorts so far, looking forward to seeing their growth & what lies ahead. Give many thanks

Afrikin is a place that gave me space to collaborate with community, that allows me to speak outwardly about diaspora conversations as well as what it means to share my art with community from curating to exhibitions and music festivals they created a space for panel discussions and academia to exist with entertainment. But there can be a space for community to discuss African issues and cultural expansion as well as welcome those in to community so they can receive new knowledge. What does it mean to create exhibitions, artwork, musical engagements that allow community to feel like they are also seeing and that they are also apart of what it is that's happening on stage. They bring community together continuously bridging the Gap between the academic and entertainment.

Being fairly new to Florida - it is especially important to feel supported in a field that is not based solely on hard work and talent- it is also about connection and opportunities and tribe. Afrikin provides that “tribe “. Not only being generous, fun and full of energy but offering smart concepts for exhibits , a very professional team and brilliant marketing. To be embraced so fully as an artist , especially being female and black , it has made a world of difference in me feeling that I can actually do this! Thank you!

Amazing organization the team of people working are truly working for the greater good of the community and the world. The type of movement that the Afrikin family incorporates with each event they aspire to bring the world closer together. It is a true honor to attend each event they present as well as witness the ancient future unfold within art music and community.

Afrikin Art is amazing, they showcase the talent of their community and bring a diverse group of people together. Alfonso brings so much love to his work and you could resonate with that.

I appreciate Afrikin for allowing me to display my work to the North Miami Community. This was a blessing for me and for the Community to connect with the Art and Culture of our area.

I wish them all the blessings in the world moving forward.

Thank you .
