I'm Martha Ndilanha the headmistress of Idetemya sec school. ASAP is an exceptional NGO, before working with this NGO my school was in terrible condition. Not enough desks for students, my teachers and students were traveling miles to and from school. We didn't have enough books for students, no science lab, no computer lab, and to make it worse, we had no water at all at the school which accommodates more than a thousand students.
ASAP has solved all of the above challenges in my school and I can't find words to express how lucky and proud I am to work with Africa School Assistance Project. Thanks for being part of our family our moto will be always ( Umoja ni Nguvu utengano ni udhaifu).
I've been involved with ASAP for more than 8 years and words cannot describe the amazing impact they have on the lives of students, particularly girls, in rural Tanzania. I am a monthly giver supporting the Kupanda Project for Girls, and am so proud of the impact this program has on young female students who would otherwise not have access to a quality education.
Over the years, I have traveled to TZ with ASAP 3 different times, leading volunteer trips and working "bega kwa bega" with the locals to build the best facilities possible for the students. Getting to see the progress being made, year over year, is truly incredible!
ASAP is not only helping local students, but also the entire community through their training programs and community engagement efforts. This organization is truly amazing and I am continually impressed by their work!
ASAP is a highly professional organization that delivers a great bang for the buck. Your donations go farther with ASAP than any other organization I have been involved with.
ASAP genuinely makes a huge difference in the lives of Tanzanian communities.
Smart. Ethical. Sustainable. Three words which characterize the work of ASAP in Tanzania. With this organization, I've chaperoned a half dozen community service trips for high school students to several locations in Tanzania. The reason for returning nearly every year is that this is the ONE organization I have come across that provides valuable, authentic work for volunteers and effectively demonstrates what successful development work looks like. Over the past decade, I have witnessed ASAP program participation inspire a multitude of young adults to pursue careers in non-profit management and international development work. I have enjoyed seeing the positive impact this organization has on whole communities - from children to adults, from local residents to teachers and regional administrators. The buy in and commitment each community develops is astonishing and the results that each school/program achieves is evident of their success.
In 2016, I got to see first hand the impactful work ASAP is doing to educate rural Tanzanian children thru it’s development of community schools. The facilities were amazing, the teachers were passionate, and most importantly the children were proud and excited to be learning.
If you want to make an impact in the world, consider supporting ASAP.
