Aeon for Ocean is an excellent nonprofit, working to help all kids learn more about the ocean and the marine ecosystem in order to help drive ocean conservation. As a volunteer of the organization, I am proud to work beside so many thoughtful and inspirational people who care so much about educating children about marine life and how to bring more awareness to how everyone around the globe, whether you're close in proximity to the ocean or not, on how to protect the ocean. As a mother with three children, I'm proud of the work Aeon does and my kids love all the information available, have learned more on what they can do at home and while traveling to help the ocean and its inhabitants!
It has been a privilege to volunteer for Aeon for Ocean. The team is comprised of extremely talented individuals passionate about environment and ocean conservation. Aeon for Ocean mission focuses on sharing knowledge about ocean, promoting ocean/environment conservation and empowering youth. During the Covid era, the team has been working creatively to reach more of the community through online presence and continue to make a difference. I’m privileged to be volunteering for Aeon for Ocean where so many like minded individuals come together for a great cause in promoting ocean and environment conservation. Trying to clean up trash so it does not enter our water bodies has been trickier with the pandemic. Individually we have been able to make a difference. Soon, we will be back to making a difference locally. But Aeon for Ocean has been busy on line through these last 22 months. We will continue to connect and make this world a better place!

Aeon For Ocean is a great nonprofit which helps children learn about pollution both locally and in our oceans. We put on a short program in local parks and then go pick up trash so that trash doesn't find its way into local bodies of water. We have krill ambassadors (children) who go speak to other children in schools and other venues about reducing, reusing and recycling. As a participating adult, I really appreciate the hands on experience of picking up trash and making a difference in the world!
It's has been a great honor to serve this non-profit organization, volunteered by amazing group of passionate individuals. Absolutely an amazing charity organization to create awareness, especially empowering youths to educate the adults and peer groups about ocean conservation and marine life. There are many such organizations are doing an incredible job to create awareness but Aeon for Ocean's uniqueness comes from their main target area - landlocked mid-west and bringing the experience of Ocean via STEM programs.
I have loved having the opportunity to volunteer with Aeon for Ocean as a publishing manager. It is a great group of volunteers to work with, and I love the mission of the organization to teach kids about the ocean. I think everyone is doing great work and can really make a difference in the world, especially when it comes to the education of children about ocean topics.
I started as a publishing associate for Aeon for Ocean earlier this year and I have absolutely loved my experience so far. The Aeon for Ocean staff is incredibly welcoming and the work that they do is so beneficial. I love being a part of an organization that is spreading the importance of ocean conservation and education to kids all around the world. I can't wait to see the great things this organization has in store for the future.
AFO has a fantastic mission to bring ocean education to kids across the country. Even those who live hundreds of miles away from the nearest coastline need to be ocean literate because the ocean is vital to the wellbeing of all life on earth. It will be essential for the rising generation to be full of inland ocean advocates if we are to confront the very real problems posed by climate change. In my experience as a board member, I have seen how passionate this all-volunteer organization is about bringing the ocean to every child in some small way. This organization is transparent, responsible, and mission-focused. It is a pleasure to work with them.
I’m just my first few months of working with AFO, I have been amazed at how committed the organization’s volunteers are to the mission. I look forward to seeing what AFO can do as we hopefully move back to more normal circumstances!
Aeon for Ocean continues to deliver programming to area youth to help them reach out to the ocean from right here in Minnesota. It has been a great journey to watch inland youth learn about both the wildlife and environmental side of global issues they may not see from our location so far from the ocean. Aeon encourages his peers to make a whale of a difference by exploring STEM learning whether they are at the local beach, learning about sharks, or are working to become an ocean-focused scientist in the future. Small actions and a bit of knowledge lead to big things for the next generation.

Aeon for Ocean was founded by Aeon at age seven who wanted to give back to his peers and help the next generation he is part of to understand global issues surrounding the world's oceans, recycling, ocean wildlife, and how inland areas such as Minnesota can help curb future damage. From free classroom delivered content to neighborhood park cleanup events, Aeon for Ocean has been a unique way for youth to get involved in environmental sustainability and grow their interest in the ocean, marine life, and STEM careers. My experience has shown me a caring group of volunteers who keep the organization running through support of the youth involved. Aeon, now nine years old, is a very passionate kid who with the help of other youth through the Krill to Whale Ambassador Program is at the beginning of a great life of helping others through education. It has been a pleasure to serve for this organization and see the kids grow their community leadership skills, interest in the global environmental issues of today, and plant the seeds for this nonprofit to succeed in the years to come.
Aeon for Ocean has given me a connection back to the Ocean, and I'm so grateful to volunteer with such passionate people. Being able to take part in their mission to educate kids about marine life and ocean conservation is incredibly fulfilling.

This young man started building Aeon for Ocean non-profit when he was 7 years old and at the ripe old age of 10 he has accomplished more than many adults. He started with his own backyard engaging the community to clean up his local Oceans (aka lakes) along with educating school kids and adults. During this pandemic, he has been creating activities and challenges for kids on Aeon for Ocean Facebook page which also has some great stories and fundraising activities. He has been recognized and invited to to national forums so I think this young man with our support will make a difference to energize young and old people to make a difference by protecting our Ocean's to help heal the planet !

I have had such a wonderful experience working with AFO over the last year+ in their educational department. The board allows us to experiment and implement cutting edge practices with their full support. We have exciting projects (e.g., Virtual Reality) that help new and experienced educators develop new skills while benefiting the k-12 community.

Aeon for Ocean is a great non profit organization where it teaches marine life conservation. But for us, their message extends beyond marine life. It teaches us how our everyday choices can affect our environment. We’ve participated in their monthly events where we did park clean up. The whole experience was enjoyable as well as educational for our young children. The trash pick up is like a fun scavenger hunt :) We also discuss how various things affect the environment. It increases self awareness and discipline. The organization not only helps preserve the environment but also educates everyone.
They are amazing at educating the public about what every person can do to help the ocean life - very inspiring!

Aeon For Ocean is an educational, endearing, and important non-profit. Spreading the word about the conditions & vitality of our oceans and the flora and fauna that reside and thrive in them is so important, especially in this world where we know the environment is suffering.

Aeon came to my kindergarten classroom on 3 different occasions. He taught my students about ocean animals, ocean plants, and the importance of keeping the ocean habitat clean.

Aeon is a true inspiration for kids and adults! At his young age, he is able to engage kids in caring about the future of our Oceans and the impact we can make changing certain habits in our daily lives.
I joined Aeon For Ocean after witnessing the passion and drive of then 8-year-old Aeon and the myriad of professional supporters that he is ever-accruing. Aeon's intense and pure passion for whales and ocean conservation and for bringing the ocean and environmental issues to life for inland children (many of whom have never seen the ocean), has naturally guided him into forming his own 501(c)(3). Currently working for him and advising him are grant writers, lawyers, education professionals, scientific illustrators, and Aeon is also advised by some of the top marine mammal scientists and conservationists in the world. I saw Aeon present a talk at the 2018 biennial conference of the American Cetacean Society (California), and Aeon will be presenting in the coming months via Skype at the 2019 World Whale Conference (Australia) and he will give an in-person poster presentation at the 2019 World Marine Mammal Conference in Barcelona, Spain as well. Each of these three conference presentations are incredible feats in their own rights for career scientists to have been invited to give - Aeon is doing them all, and he is currently 9 years old.
Aeon's organization is run efficiently, transparently, and truly benevolently. His energy draws in support from many communities, and he is extending his own network/community to include the international scientific and conservation communities. This youth ocean advocacy organization - Aeon For Ocean - is one of the most remarkable and admirable groups for which I have had the pleasure to volunteer, and Aeon and this organization will continue to grow and accrue support. Thank you for allowing me to write this - Aeon For Ocean has my highest recommendation as an organization.

Everytime Aeon was given a classroom project at school, the seven year old would build his assignment around the ocean and marine life. Aeon has turned that passion into greater project. Through the help of his parents and community, he has turned his interests into an exciting adventure. Aeon's passion and knowledge in areas relating to ocean conservation has caught the attention of experts in the field around the globe. However, Aeon for Ocean is not just interesting for Aeon's global recognition.
A vast majority of climate related initiatives have the greatest impact at a local, grass roots level. Working in the classrooms, Aeon has found a way to increase his peers awareness and enthusiasm relating to ocean conservation through the Krill2Whale Ambassador program and other various local initiatives.
Since becoming a Board Member, I have become increasingly excited for the organization's future, which has set ambitious goals. In a short period of time, they have methodically grown and taken on challenges with a team of passionate and intelligent volunteers from diverse backgrounds. There is no doubt Aeon has created a special project.
