I have been involved with Adventure Bags for about 5 years. Their mission has stayed focused on the children of Georgia, but their means of reaching them have expanded greatly. When I began volunteering, the primary method of reaching Georgia's children in crisis was through DFCS. The organization now partners with homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, teens at risk organizations... The list grows every day. As a board member, I am thankful to be involved in such an organization.

I have worked with the organization for about 4 years. They always stay focused on the mission of serving children in crisis. I can not imagine what stress and anxiety these kids experience through these situations. Having something to call their own. Items to bring them comforts - such as a blanket or teddy bear. Items that allow them to just be a kid such as a book or coloring books and crayons. Adventure Bags stays focused on its mission and through its partnerships (Dept of Family and Child Services, Foster Agencies, Homeless Shelters, Domestic Abuse Shelters, etc) to get these items in these children's hands when they need them most. As a board member, I get to see how mission-focused they stay. This year I got to share the organization with both my in-laws and aunt - so special.
Fantastic community partner. Executive Director is very familiar with the organization's vision, mission, target population, audience, and donors! The organization has made huge strides after hiring the ED. Organization is gaining momentum across the state as the new ED is learning her role as a nonprofit leader.
Adventure Bags has been an official partner of the Georgia Department of Human Services - External Affairs since 2022 but has been a community partner to local organizations since 2011. This community partner provides bookbags with essential items for children and youth in Georgia's foster care system. It has been a great pleasure working with Adventure Bags and Executive Director, Mrs. Manus. I look forward to continuing working with her and her team in providing additional services to our most vulnerable population......children.
It is such a privilege to be part of this organization. The team works endlessly to provide much-needed items for the kids. The best reward is to know all the hard work will put a smile on the kid's faces. It is a great experience in so many different ways!

After volunteering with Adventure Bags through his first 2 years of high school, my son was inspired to complete his Eagle Scout Project with this awesome organization. It was a true pleasure for him to lead his friends to help this organization modernize their inventory system, complete a community supply drive and add several industrialized shelving units. My son and Troop 750, were proud to help Adventure Bags better support children in need through his project. Adventure Bags is known throughout our community to take care of kids who are displaced with a backpack full of necessary supplies and fun items, too. Misty and the volunteers work incredibly hard to provide comfort through these bags to children in need.
Tracey and the Adventure Bags Team do such great work to help kids who need it most. They partner with many organizations to multiply their impact and extend their reach. I am sure many foster kids grow up and remember their experience with Adventure Bags fondly. They make a positive difference in the lives of foster children and others in need.
Our school group came out to Adventurebags to volunteer. We were the ones who were truly blessed! What a wonderful group. Such a worthy place to volunteer!

I am currently a student at Lanier Technical College and an officer for multiple clubs at the college. Thru those clubs, we do community service events every semester. In 2020 I was put in charge of deciding where we would do our community service for that semester. I remember being in a UGA study and hearing one of the other participants in that study talk about Adventure Bags. So I knew that was the organization I wanted to work with for our community service. We now do a "packing party" every semester and have even expanded to state-wide donations at our conferences thru out the year! This is an amazing organization with an amazing team!

Adventure Bags was very swift in coordinating a delivery day and time for us to receive the bags. They had such an abundance of bags, more than we needed at the moment.

I was asked by my sister if I would be interested in having a few Adventure Bags for children removed from their family. I jumped at the chance-I always keep something in my car for a child!!
WELL-I first received 4 adventure Bags-within 3 days they had all been given out to emergency removals!! The bags had hygiene items-books-stuffed animal and a lavender scented bunny and much more!!!
I asked for more bags so that I could share them with Police Officers, DFCS and my coworkers to keep on hand-within a week-Adventure Bags delivered 30 new bags!!!

I have three young daughters, and we love shopping together for items to fill the bags with. It’s a great way for them to learn how to serve others. As we shop for the items, they usually start asking me questions about the kids who will receive the bags. This leads to some great conversations, and helps them realize how blessed they are. Also, Courtney is wonderful to work with! I would definitely recommend Adventure Bags.
I have been watching this group grow and expand services throughout our state for most of their existence. They are a huge asset to the communities they serve.

I am so passionate about the work this organization does! They work tirelessly to make sure the resources get in the hands of the people who need them. When I learned of a family of children in need they immediately responded and assisted me in getting the bags appropriate for the age and gender of each child. Debbie and the Adventure Bags team were so wonderful to work with! We scheduled a donation drive here at our preschool and received a great response. They came out on a Saturday and we worked together with parents, teachers, and kids to prepare the bags and decorate cards to include with each bag. We really felt so connected to the project and the children whose lives we would impact. We have all been touched by this amazing group and look forward to making this an annual event at our school!
I consider this organization one of the best out there. The bags that are put together by Adventure Bags for kids taken out of there homes by defac is a worthy cause. What they do for kids is something alot of people don't even think about or consider. When a child of any age is taken from there home it is a traumatic experience and they have nothing with them usually. The bags give them the items that they not only need but lets them know that there is someone that cares and has there back in the situation.

Adventure Bags has been a partner organization with our Children After the Fire program for many years. When Debbie first heard about the program, she knew immediately that she wanted to partner with us. In fact, when she came to one of our meetings, she did not give us an option lol. We would have anyways.
With the program we help children that have had a fire in their home. Adventure Bags has donated hundreds of bags over the years to give to the kids. A fire is such a traumatic event, and in some cases the families lose everything. To be able to give the children a book bag full of stuff, that can be the start of rebuilding their lives. What an incredible partner to have.
The organization has continued to grow and expand. The lives touched by them, and the positive way they help a child, will have great affect in the children's lives, all the way through their lives.
Adventure bags is a great program, being able to have these bags available for children in ambulances and police cars for any emergency type situation to give them something to help keep them calm is amazing. We have volunteered at the facility before unloading supplies and packing bags, we have also donated handmade blankets made by my wife and daughters. Adventure bags is a great place to let the whole family volunteer.
Adventure Bags is an amazing place. My family has donated blankets and donated time making bags. The process to make the bags was made fun for my girls. They loved getting to select things for each bag and knowing that they would go to a child that needed it. By far the best non profit organization as it seems like a huge family.

I heard about this nonprofit from one of the board members.
Within the last five years I had just been a passenger on a motorcycle for the annual benefit rides. My kids and I also joined the Christmas parade with them and also a couple weekends ago my husband and I helped out at their chicken bbq. Just recently, my family has bought and donated bookbags, donated books while enlisting help of friends. This past weekend was our first time actually volunteering. I took my kids to show them what it is all about and to teach them what giving back to the community is like.
My husband and I are part of the Descendants, and we do a lot of things with AB. My husband was blessed to be part of Debbie's last motorcycle ride before she passed. He was also apart in her final ride to her resting place.
One of the best nonprofits to be a small part of. I hope to try to get more involved in making a difference in these children's lives.
I love Adventure Bags! Seeing the difference a single book bag can make for a child in need is something amazing. I love volunteering with this organization and I love the work that we do! It feels great to be a part of something that does nothing but delivers unconditional love and support.
I have been a part of this organization since it began in 2011. I have had the privilege of witnessing first hand the difference their bags make in the lives of children entering foster care. I specifically remember giving an Adventure Bag to a 9yr old boy who suffered from PTSD due to physical abuse. When I gave him his bag, he looked me in the eyes and ask, "Do you mean this is mine, and noone is going to take it from me?" I reassured him that it was his and for the next year he carried that backpack to and from school. When it was time for him to leave our home, he still had his Adventure Bag.
I have had the honor of serving as the Executive Director of this organization for the past 2 1/2 yrs. I truly believe in our mission and in the staff, volunteers, supporter, donors, and community partners that we have. Our work would not be possible without them.

As a foster parent, I've seen first hand what these bags do for the children that come into foster care. I've seen a 9 yr old little boys world turned up side down, but for a moment when given an Adventure Bag, he has something that's his and no one can take it. Being removed from their home with little or no personal belongings is something children shouldn't have to do, but sometimes it's necessary. These bags offer thrm a sense of security. I first came to know of Adventure Bags in 2011. I had done a stuffed animal drive for foster kids for christmas. After handing them out, i had tons left over. My wife mentioned she had heard of a local non profit that could maybe use them. She contacted them, and they came to the house. Afyer about an hour long converstion across the kitchen table i was sold!!! Since then i have helped whereever i was needed. I have seen many smiles on many people that was a result of an Adventure Bag!!! Never ever have i seen a group of people so determined to help displaced children.

I have watched this amazing organization continue to grow leaps and bounds from its inception. Adventure Bags has made significant impact to foster children throughout the state of Georgia. It has provided children with something tangible - something to call their own. For many of us, we don’t know what it is like to be without a toothbrush, a warm blanket, etc and fortunately for Georgia’s foster children, its founder realized the need and said “what can I do about it?” and so she did! I love to share about this great organization with others. Those who continue to keep Adventure Bags operational are passionate about the AB mission and serving foster children.
Adventure Bags, I heard about them after they had a devastating fire a few years ago. Being a Chamber of Commerce I went out to see what we could do to help them. After talking with Debi Gore, I decided to give them a membership with the Barrow Co Chamber of Commerce and then proceeded to help get the word out about their organization. Learning as I was going I set out to get the word out and help them rebuild, at that time 3 beautiful women were working so hard to provide necessary items to children that have to leave their houses in the middle of the night with just a plastic bag with ALL there worldly processions in it. This was heartbreaking they had almost nothing. Adventure bags come in and give a beautiful backpack full of everything that they would need right away. This organization is growing everyday. It is the most amazing feeling to be able to give a child a toothbrush, a hairbrush, a stuffed animal and many more items that they need today. They cherish these items, they range in all ages up to 18, the bags are set up for their ages. I am so grateful hat I was able to find this organization that servers all of Georgia.
Adventure Bags is absolutely amazing! They reached out to us offering to provide bags for the families we serve for children of all ages, and in just a few short days met our needs. As a non-profit serving families experiencing homelessness in Gwinnett, we are overjoyed to have received such a kind donation from this incredible organization, allowing us to provide a bag of comfort to so many children as they navigate the crisis of homelessness. June 29,2019 I truly thought that AB would be closing the doors after 8yrs of amazing work across Georgia. Little did I know that Founder Debbie Gori had other plans after she passed away. She asked Misty Manus to take over who had been a board member and passionate volunteer with AB from day one, Debbie knew she was the perfect women for the job! Man was she right! The energy passion leadership and DEDICATION is absolutely amazing. Since July 2019, the agency has expanded and grown out of a she shed, a small building and now in a larger space! WOW! All to continue to serve Ga most vulnerable children. The dedicated volunteers who help make this possible simply amazes me! 40,000 children and 150 agencies later they are still going strong!

This organization is one that has grown from helping a small portion of Georgia's needy children to after little over two years has been able to spread to help children in many crisis situations...this organization truly keeps to the core of their mission and puts the needs of the community children in need at heart..the organizers and volunteers are amazing!
On August 19th our home burned. I am a single mom and my grandson and his wife and 3 children live in the house with me. I have a set of twins and a six year old and at the time had two children that had been placed with me under a safety plan. In all I had 6 children under the age of 10, 2 teenagers and 3 adults in the house. We lost everything. Misty Manus is a friend of mine and I called her. She didn’t hesitate it didn’t take long and Adventure bags showed up with a bag for everyone. They thought of everything-clothes, shoes and thank God toothbrushes and a special stuffed animal and blanket for the children. They absolutely love the handmade teddy bears. This is a great loving and caring group of people. Thank you for the work you are doing and for providing comfort and making these babies feel special at a devastating time.
I met Debbie Gori of Adventure Bags at a Barrow County Chamber of Commerce meeting way back when we were both fairly new businesses. I own a Vitual Assisting business and Debbie and I starting talking about how we could help each other. Over the years, I watched Adventure Bags grow and even had my Special Needs daughter volunteer there stuffing bags for the children who needed help most. I created the AB website and helped Debbie in any way I could.
When Ms. Debbie passed away, I was in the process of creating a newly updated website. I had also moved away from Barrow County. As usual though, Ms. Debbie had already taken the necessary steps to make sure AB moved forward.
It has been my distinct pleasure and honor to work with such a wonderful group of people and watching them grow and serve even more children, well I can't say enough. Even during Covid, they found ways to help even more children and the elderly who were shut in.

I came to work with this group years ago when I met Ms. Debbie at a Chamber meeting. I built their website and have done everything I could to help bring awareness to the wonderful things AB does. I am not nearly as involved now as I once was but I hope everyone knows that I am still here to help where and when I am able.
What a great place for both children and adults to volunteer, A place to teach youth the power of service and giving back to the community. Knowing that each and every item you put your hands on will help someone else to have a better day. From choosing a stuffed animal for them to get comfort from to what color tooth brush and back pack. It is a fun and exciting place to volunteer. :)

One day I was ridding down the road absentmindedly and noticed a sticker on the back of a green SUV that said AdventureBags.org, when I got home I looked it up. What I found was an amazing local non-profit that I knew I wanted to be a part of. I picked up the phone and called and said how do I get involved. The voice on the other end of the phone was one amazing lady actually the one and only amazing Debbie Gori. She sold me into volunteering with the first phone call. When I got there she welcomed me and showed me around over the next few years I volunteered there every week, thinking of all of the children this organization was helping on a daily basis.
Adventure bags gives hope to people who need just a little extra hope, when their worlds are turned upside down. It gives hope to a child who has nothing, comfort and love to someone who may just be feeling the loneliest they have ever felt.
Every Bag Packed at Adventure Bags is stuffed with love, each volunteer who packs a bag packs it from their heart with love... from picking a book, a blanket, an active and a stuffed animal with care, along with essentials to make sure the person receiving it will feel that they are loved.
I have loved being a part of this organization for many years, have brought others to volunteer and encourage many to volunteer there still today.
I joined Adventure Bags in it's early stages as a board member & a volunteer. I still help to collect necessary items and urge others to help this amazing organization. As a former foster parent I saw kids arrive with garbage bags full of garbage & knew this was a group I had to help. Run solely by the most amazing army of volunteers, they are helping Georgia's displaced children by the thousands while supporting other local agencies. I highly recommend everyone to jump in, pack some bags & make some very sad kids smile when they receive a bag full of love.

When I met the Founder, Debbie Gori 8 years ago & heard of this organization, I knew I had to be involved. Having been a foster family who's children arrived with a garbage bag, I understood the need. Debbie put me on the board but I stepped away a while back due to my health issues. I continue to be involved by bringing donations & sharing information about this amazing organization.
Adventure Bags is an amazing organization serving children in need throughout the state of Georgia. Children deserve to have great childhoods but unfortunately this is not always the case. I'm proud to be apart of this mission to serve children fleeing abuse.
My children and I have volunteered with Adventure Bags several times - both at large community fundraisers and also behind the scenes packing up back packs. I think this organization is truly wonderful in what they do for children. I can't imagine what it must be like for these children to go through such an ordeal as being placed in foster care. My hope is that if even one item in one of those bags can bring a child comfort, peace, a smile, etc...than it is worth every second. I feel like these bags provide comfort to the child but also help out the fostering family - providing something they may not have had on hand, or saving a trip to the store until things have calmed down a bit. We will continue to look for ways to volunteer and donate to the amazing people and the amazing cause of this organization.

This is an amazing non-profit. My sister started this organization over 10 years ago and my late mother took over shortly thereafter. Serving most of Georgia's Counties this organization provides a book bag of essential items to a child in crisis. The bags not only are tailored to age group and gender, the volunteers write a note to personalize the bag as well.
Every year there are several fundraising opportunities including a Bike Ride and other community based events.
I am the leader of several different groups of kids that all need service hours. I found Adventure Bags a few years ago when I was searching for places for my kids to volunteer their time. I met Ms. Debbie and loved her and the mission of Adventure Bags. I have taken several groups to volunteer with them and the experience has always been wonderful. Everyone always says that their favorite service projects are with Adventure Bags. All of the people we have met through Adventure Bags have all been so friendly and we always look forward to volunteering with them.
Adventure Bags has been such a blessing to so many children and to those DFCS staff who find them sometimes with little to nothing. I’ve watched so many children manage a smile, in a very traumatic moment in their life, when they are given their own book-bag full of their very own hygiene items and other things. I’m so thankful for this organization and the heart of those that work tirelessly to meet the great need for children across the state of Georgia!

I've been volunteering at Adventure Bags for about 10 months now. It started, for me, as just a place to drop off some stuffed animals. It has grown into a commitment. To know that this charity is needed is heart wrenching, but unfortunately that is the world we live in today. To be able to bring hope, and joy to a child in a difficult situation brings peace to my heart. I am so blessed that I am able to volunteer with Adventure Bags.

I am excited and honored to be trusted and chose to assist in leading Adventure Bags, Inc. as you Executive Director. For me, this is an incredible opportunity to continue working for an organization that is dedicated and committed to serving Georgia’s most vulnerable children. This past year has certainly brought challenges to Adventure Bags, Inc., however, with challenges comes the potential to grow, learn, and change for the better.
Over the years, I have had the privilege to work very closely with our previous leader, Debbie, as I have been involved with Adventure Bags, Inc., mostly behind the scenes with fundraising efforts, from the very beginning. I have witnessed firsthand the passion she had for this organization and the children that we serve. Through our working together, she recognized that she and I shared this same passion, hence why it was by her request that I assume a leadership role within this organizations.
It has been through my family’s fostering journey, I have had the privilege to witness firsthand the impact our bags have on the children entering foster care. My passion for children, and children in foster care specifically, is what drives me in assisting in making the impact we have across Georgia even better. As we continue to rebuild and restructure, I am eager to apply my many personal and professional experiences gained over the 15 years as a foster parent, team leader, advocate, and individual toward the new AB 2.0 vision. As we grow and acclimate to an ever-changing world, we will continue to strive towards organizational sustainability, adaptability, and perseverance.
My motivation and hopes are that in years to come children across Georgia will not only feel loved through the bags they receive, but that as a an organization and a community, we can continue to work to instill values and fuel the passion in future generations so they can and will have the same opportunities to create rich and meaningful experiences through helping others and making a difference.

I found Adventure Bags when looking for a way to serve children in crisis in Georgia. Once I found out about how this non-profit is totally supported by donations and volunteers (no one is salaried), I immediately went to work finding bargains and donors. Now my church, a ladies' group, friends on line and even in other states are sending items or cash donations. Adventure Bags has been a blessing to thousands of children, through various counties and first responders. The filled backpacks are free to be distributed by those who place children in foster care, etc. We want more people and organizations to know of this wonderful service.
This is an agency close to my heart and Debbie Gori Legacy will continue to serve the thousands of children in need! Today marks over 33,000 children served since 2011! Misty Manus, Executive Director, vision is one that is just as strong as Debbie Gori’s!

This organization is run entirely on donations. No one is paid and the only way it continues is through donations and all the hard work of the volunteers! This is a true nonprofit and their goal is simple helping kids feel secure and they do just that! I have seen first hand the impact these Bags have on children in need. I'm a 12 year old girl who loves helping Adventure Bags with my mom. I love being able to help kids in crisis. I never know if I might need an adventure bag someday so I love to help out in every way I possibly can.
Adventure Bags is such an amazing organization! From the first moment I stepped onto the AB house to volunteer, I fell in love. Working in the school system, I knew there are children in need, but never the demand was so high. It's heartbreaking! However, with the help of Adventure Bags, we can help add a smile to their face and give them something to call their own. It also provides people in the community, especially children, the opportunity to come volunteer and bag bags. Together we are making a difference!
I ride in the Adventure bags motorcycle ride every year. Its the one ride I never miss. I was once a social worker for Child Protective Services and I have been there when a child is uprooted from the only environment they have ever known. This non-profit was not around when I was doing the job,but here's the thing, the situation is already difficult enough. It's stressful on the child, the workers, and the parents. Remembering to get toothbrushes and teddy bears is the last thing on anyone's mind in that situation and even if you do remember, there is no guarantee that all parties will be cooperative. I've heard parents go as far as to say things like, "If the 'State' wants him, then they need to buy his clothes," and refuse to allow the child to take anything with him when he is placed in Foster Care. So I think what adventure bags does is awesome. Just the fact that the child gets a book-bag and a toothbrush can be a really big deal in some situations.
As a community advocate, I see kids in crisis everyday in multiple counties throughout the state of Georgia. Often these kids leave home and never return for various reasons, the bags provide a sense of belonging as they truly are truly beginning of a new adventure.

Adventure Bags is a fantastic organization that provides hope to children in transition. Debbie and the entire staff gives all they have in the form of time, money and love. I am truly impressed and grateful that I have had the opportunity to talk with Debbie.
I work at a Domestic Violence shelter in north GA. I use these bags to put a smile on the kids faces when they have to come into shelter. Without them a lot of my shelter kids would be very unhappy. It gives the kids a feeling of comfort to have something that is there's when they come into shelter.

Having 3 children of my own I understand how transition can be difficult for children. I also know how attached they become to certain items (security blankets and such). Adventure Bags provides children with a brand new book bag filled with toiletry items, school items, and things for fun. Most importantly each child receives their own stuffed animal. This simple bag serves as a token of love from community partners that we care for each and every child.
Adventure Bags is an organization that seeks to meet a great need in a child's life! When a child has a need for necessities and they are many times placed in an awkward position the bag can be a comfort. The hands and hearts of Debbie, her family and the volunteers that make this work possible touch the lives of children in North Georgia in a special way. This is an awesome opportunity for our community to sow a seed in a child's life.
I volunteer for Adventure Bags with my mom. It is a great opportunity for me to give back in a way that could have impacted my own life as a foster child. I choose to volunteer because I know that value of what's being done here.
Adventure Bags is an incredible organization... it's totally donation funded, and no one gets paid. I met Debbie, the president of AB about a year ago...at a Barrow Co. Chamber of Commerce networking meeting. I have watched her talk about the "why" behind her purpose week after week. Her passion for the cause is catching...I started out giving donations and volunteering, now I'm a board member. She has touched countless numbers of people with her simple goal of giving kids in crisis something to call their own. Sadly, the need for this service continues to grow.
Amazing organization for a fantastic cause. What a wonderful idea...giving book bags full of necessities to children in foster care. The people behind this organization have the biggest hearts and are fulfilling a great need in these kids lives.

Adventure Bags has been a very important part of my life and of my son's life over the past 2 years. We first encountered Adventure Bags as a church project. My son had recently come from foster care so the topic was one he could relate to. When we volunteered, we felt comfortable and needed. Even my son felt his work and input was valued. This is one of the only charities we have worked for that wanted our time and affordable donations more than our money. Since that first day, we have been back several times. The leaders are so kind and passionate. I know my son will always have a place in his heart for Adventure Bags just as I do. The project means even more to me having his perspective. He says he wishes he had something like it. The leaders are even in tune to his ideas. I know the ambitions of Adventure Bags serves a real purpose. I also know the hard work put in by the leaders on a daily basis.
I just recently became a board member of adventure Bags. Prior to this I was a volunteer. I believe fully in what Adventure bags is doing. When A child has to leave her or his home they are given a book bag with everything they need to clean themselves from the head to the toes, and they are given a personal related to their age. If you were taken from your home with nothing, just think what it would mean to you to get this book bag. I think it is wonderful and I support Adventure Bags, which is why I accepted a position on the Board.
This is coming from someone that has been there, I was 13, took to a foster home with nothing of mine. No familiar surrounding but a strange man and women telling me all will be ok, and not to worry. ( easy for them to say. ) Wen I met Debbie with adventure bags, I wish I knew of them years ago, as a child besides my mother passing away,, that was the worst feelling I ever had.. thats why I fully support this awesome cause, and im proud to be part of them. I feel like we make a difference in a childs life as far as there spirit and soul in a trying time when they look around and see nothing that they once had, but now thanks to Adventure Bags they cann start stability.
Adventure Bags has been such a great program to the foster families of Jackson County. The foster parents depend on the items in the bags especially when the children come to the foster families with nothing, but the Adventure Bag. Any child who is being removed from their birth family is scared, frightened and nervous and these bags do help momentarily with that. The child is able to have their own bag and a small toy, which makes a world of difference to a child who is going to a foster family whom they have never seen before. Jackson County DFCS also depends on Adventure Bags and the support they offer to the foster families of Jackson County. They are an excellent program that I strongly encourage everyone to particiapte in.
I was introduced to Adventure Bags when my son was trying to earn some community service hours for his orthodontist treatment. The founder, Debbie Gori, was so personal. She made our time seem more like a fun outing and like we were hanging out with family. The kids really enjoyed preparing the bags and gained a sense of how special and significant the backpack items would be for the child who received one in a time of need. We look forward to helping with Adventure Bags in the future!

Adventure Bags is a number one priority with my time and effort of growing. The purpose is to help children in distress of daily hygiene and mental stability. Adventure Bags gives children going into Foster Care a book bag full of instruments such as tooth brush, tooth paste, washcloth, crayons, coloring book, such to name a few of the items. This organization is non-profit and strictly donation driven. Hopefully Adventure Bags will receive this grant to reach more of 'our' children in dire need of us.
I started out helping Adventure bags through an event organized by my church and when I found out about their cause, I decided to get more involved. Adventure Bags is a truly amazing charity - they have helped so many children who find themselves in situations where they are taken from the family they are in, without even so much as shoes at times. Adventure bags helps these children by not only providing them with basic necessities, but by also providing them with the fact that someone loves them, someone put thought into the bag they now hold, someone cares and sometimes, just one someone caring can make the world of difference for a child!
