Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: In 2012 Advantage Sports Academy was founded in Hawaii to give opportunity in athletic development to not just the elite athlete but the developing athlete as well. We want to give Hawaii's youth and ADVANTAGE in their athletic development by providing them opportunity to stay active after school. We believe that a positive environment is essential to how a child learns and develops, not just as an athlete, but as a person.
Results: Our programs are currently received at 5 schools both public and private in Hawaii. We work with over 250 students ages 5-16 throughout the year.
Target demographics: Low-income students in the Honolulu area between 5 - 16 years old.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 250 students stay active directly after school.
Geographic areas served: Hawaii
Programs: After-school athletic opportunity. Our program was founded in Hawaii to give opportunity in athletic development to not just the elite athlete but the developing athlete, as well as to provide a lifestyle that is healthy and active.
