Working with adoptaBull from the beginning, our goal was to make a rescue that caed for the dogs first and treated the surrender family with respect and caring. We want to make sure that the process is friendly and considerate, but always has the needs for the dog in the front of the mind of the members and adopters. We have great people in our group that care for the dogs and the organization from all over the US. One of the best things that I have been involved in! We are all friendly and try to make sure that you are comfortable with the experience but for surrender and adoption. If you have a question, ask, we will try to help as best we can!

I have always adored Bulldogs and when I came across an adoptaBull adoption event at my neighborhood pet store I took the opportunity to set on the floor with the dogs and enjoy all their snorts, head butts, and general goofiness. After visiting with the volunteers I found I really respected their rescue philosophy. So when the opportunity arose I applied to foster with adoptaBull.

Their application and vetting process was thorough and well communicated. It was clear how much they cared for their dogs and wanted to make sure they found just the right homes and people to care and love these dogs while they wait for their forever family.

I have thoroughly enjoyed fostering with adoptaBull and truly appreciate the wealth of knowledge this group has amongst it's volunteers. They regularly check in and are very responsive to any questions or concerns. They also make sure their dogs are well cared for and receive the best medical care!

I would highly recommend adoptaBull to individuals who are looking to adopt, volunteer, or both!

My husband and I have been wanting a bulldog for so long, and we finally felt like we were in the right place to adopt. I did a simple google search and came across AdoptaBull Rescue. We perused the website and instantly fell in love! We filled out the application that day, and had our phone interview about a week later. It took about a month, but were so happy to find out that we were approved to adopt! We have had Rocco for about a week now, and we couldn't be happier! We feel like he has settled in, and he gets more and more confident everyday! We just love his cuddly personality and his playful spunk. He is getting used to city life, and enjoys walks around the neighborhood. We would recommend this nonprofit to all! Be patient, as they are just taking care to make sure its a perfect match. Everyone we spoke with was extremely helpful, and Laura (his foster mom) took such great care of him, it has been an easy adjustment for him. We also received an extremely helpful packet of information, and Laura is just a phone call away if we have questions! Thank you AdoptaBull for making our family complete! As we write this, Rocco is snoring away at our feet :)

I unfortunately found myself going through a divorce and no longer able to care for my furbaby. I contacted Adoptabull for help and they were more than gracious and caring in assisting with the surrender process. Even though I was heartbroken and still miss my little buddy, Laura was there every step of the way. I was informed via email and phone calls to his status and progress while in his foster home almost daily. They even sent pictures for my kids to see to know that our sweet boy was in good hands and happy! I am ecstatic to report that our furbaby has been adopted to a fantastic forever home! I couldn't be happier with everyone at Adoptabull for their help, time, and their love for this breed. They aren't just a rescue organization....They are an organization of love and compassion for anyone with a Bully in need. They are exceptional!!!!

I rescued by babe, Gail over 5 years ago from a different organization and found that I didn't have the support I initially thought I would have received by rescuing a puppy mill dog. The support I did receive from the board members, organizers and volunteers that made up Adoptabull and it was genuine and beyond helpful. I have gained so many great memories and experiences in my time with this organization and the people who make it up. The knowledge that they bring to the table on every issue that coincides with English Bulldogs, adopting, care and so many more aspects, continues to blow my mind. I have had the pleasure of helping at the few events I could attend and I have such admiration for the way the volunteers and board members talk about an organization that means so much to all of us, and more importantly, the beautiful, charismatic Bulldogs that come through looking for their forever home.

My wife, Marilyn and I had wanted to get another dog for years, since we lost our precious Chinese Shar-Pei in the early 2000's. Both of us worked long hours and felt we needed to wait until one/both of us retired before doing so. We followed a number of rescue sites on Facebook and had decided that our next dog would be a rescue. Our daughter and her husband had an English Bulldog and we fell in love with that breed. I retired on February 3, 2014 and we went to the AKC International dog show shortly after.

We weren't aware of adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue until we saw them at the dog show. We were highly impressed by the adoptaBull volunteers we met that day, not to mention the dogs in their booth. The volunteers (especially Donna) were extremely personable and knowledgeable of the adoption process, the dogs available for adoption, and the type of home each individual bully needed. I was even more impressed when we returned to their booth as we were leaving, and Donna remembered us and commented on our interest. When we got home, we checked adoptaBull's website and after reading their mission and values statements there was no doubt what organization we wanted to adopt from. We knew we wanted to become part of the adoptaBull family. We completed the application, went through a very carefully structured telephone interview, and then a home visit by Donna and Sue. They carefully matched us with a beautiful sweet female English who has become a loving member of our family.

Becoming a part of the adoptaBull family is really an understatement. I can't begin to describe the sense of belonging we feel with adoptaBull. They are always eager to answer questions, provide support, or just share experiences. They sincerely care about the dogs and the families who adopt them. They are truly an organization with a big heart. I most highly recommend them.

I received a "coupon" for a bulldog pup for Mothers Day this year. Because I knew that there were so many dogs already out there without permanent homes, I knew that adoption was the right choice. Although I felt that I had bulldog experience, and was a very responsible pet owner , I was quickly discouraged by an interaction that I had had with a different agency, and started looking for a puppy. I had already contacted a couple breeders when I ran into Jennifer( adopter and volunteer) who worked for my vet. She encouraged me to apply to Adoptabull, and that she was fostering Spike a seven year boy that she thought might be a nice fit as she knew my other two dogs. After discussing Spike with other family members, we decided to apply. During the application process, I had worried about the fact that I had other animals, my very large yard was not fenced, and I had a pool and a pond, as I was told by another agency's that they had a hundred applications for each dog and basically to not bother as they could afford to be very choosy. I moved on to the phone interview and was given over an hour to explain these things and to sell myself. My pond is two feet deep, pool is fenced, and dogs are never unsupervised. We passed the phone interview, and moved onto the home visit, which was conducted by Jennifer. She was very professional, and thorough all the while Spike was getting to know my family, which now happily, and thankfully, is now his family too. He has been here for two months, and is one of our greatest joys! I am in frequent contact with Laura w., and Donna S. Who are always there to help. I feel like I will always be somehow connected to this agency in some way. If you are not in a position to foster, or adopt, I encourage you to donate. They are doing great things for this breed.

My husband Dennis and I decided to try and adopt a bulldog, having had personal experience with our granddog. We attended the AKC show, where lots of rescues have booths. We stopped at many, but from the moment we interacted with the Adoptabull volunteers (especially Donna) at the booth, we knew we wanted to work with them. They were friendly, caring and very open to our long visit at their booth while we petted all of their dogs. We met one bullie we really liked, and Donna was so nice about explaining the process of adoption and eventually letting us know in such a gentle way, that the dog we liked would probably not be the best fit for us, and that Adoptabull would work very hard to find us a beautiful furever dog. And they did exactly that. Donna and Sue did our home visit. They are extremely conscientious and deeply care about the dogs, as well as the families who adopt. After interviewing us, they matched us to a beautiful little bullie girl. Maggie Mae (Magnolia) entered our lives on 3/8/14. She won our hearts the moment we saw her, and believe Adoptabull did a perfect job in matching Maggie and us. Donna and Sue continue to provide support, even after the adoption. We contact both of them with questions about products, training, and other advice. They are always helpful and willing to do whatever they can for our Maggie. Adoptabull is a wonderful, WONDERFUL organization. To anyone who cares about bulldogs--donate to Adoptabull--it is money well-spent on loving care and concern for rescuing bulldogs and giving them a chance to live a happy, healthy life with people who will love them forever. If you want to adopt, I highly recommend working with Adoptabull. Wonderful people, wonderful organization.

Hi Everyone: I have recently been blessed with adopting a wonderful 11month old puppy who was surrendered to Adopt A Bull. She is deaf but that does not stop her from being a happy, active, and loving bulldog. After following the protocol that Adopt-A Bull provides to adoptive families, I can say that she has very quickly socialized to her new home, loves her new "big brother" two year old bulldog Theo, and is thriving well.
Madonna Rose ( formerly Dee Dee) is a loving addition to our home.
I want to thank everyone at Adopt-A-Bull for the terrific work that they do in rescue, and for making sure that bullies are placed in the best homes after careful consideration. Her foster mom and I are in touch often . I appreciated that Adopt A Bull would not let her go until she was A-Okay health-wise and she received the best of care.

I adopted a puppy-mill rescue dog from adoptaBull 18 months ago. When she came into our home, she was a scared, abused dog with numerous medical issues. She is now our little entertainer. Her health has improved and she is a wonderful addition to our family. She is no longer scared of everything and is enjoying being loved for the first time in her life. adoptaBull and the volunteers that work to save these dogs are the reason mine was given a chance to live a happy and healthy life. The volunteers work endlessly to ensure the dogs are cared for and placed in homes that will love them. All applicants are treated with respect and adoptaBull goes above and beyond to help them as much as possible during and after the adoption process. I was so impressed with the organization that I am now an active volunteer. I am glad to be able to be a part of the process and have learned so much from the other the voluteers.

My participation with adoptaBull covers the entire spectrum: founding board member, volunteer, foster parent and adopter. English Bulldog rescue has been my passion since November of 2009. When the opportunity arose to be on the ground floor of this organization, I jumped at the chance. It has been a driving principle of adoptaBuil to make all facets of the rescue experience, from surrender through adoption, more "user friendly." But our primary focus will always be the welfare of the dogs placed within our care.

Speaking as a foster/general volunteer, I can attest to the support given by the organization. Each dog is thoroughly vetted by our exceptional veterinarian and given all medical care to ensure the dog's health before being considered eligible for adoption. As an adopter, the relationship doesn't end with a signature on the adoption contract. The adoptaBull community is close knit and will provide ongoing support for the new family.

It is an honor to be part of this group and I'm very proud of all that we've accomplished in such a short amount of time.

I turned to adoptabull last October when I had to make the most incredibly tough decision to surrender my 10 month old pup. From the minute I contacted them, I was treated with respect and shown so much compassion for this heartbreaking step I had to take. All throughout the process I have know my pup was in amazing, loving and very educated hands. My pup was provided with the best medical care possible. I feel adoptabull has gone above and beyond through the entire process to make the best decisions for my pup! All the while communicating with me step by step. Now my pup is placed in an amazing home environment! It was the hardest thing to do, surrendering him, but it could not have been a more wonderful experience.

I am a foster parent and a board member for this wonderful group. I have also adopted from this group. I joined in the beginning and have been a part of defining our rescue. We walk the talk every day. Our adopters don't just adopt a dog from us, they become part of our family. We strive to provide one on one support to each of our adopters. Some of our adopters have even become volunteers with our rescue. This is a wonderful rescue to be a part of and to adopt from.
