These are dedicated people who really care about helping those who need legal advice.
Most folks have tough times in their lives. I was no different, except along the way, I got some help and some opportunities. Administer Justice helps people having a tough time and gives them options, encouragement, moral and legal support to get through those tough times. If more of us were willing to give just a little of our time to help others, just think of all the good that could be done in this world. Three or four hours a month could make a big difference in someone's life.
My first experience with Administer Justice was when I needed them as a client. I was devastated and in need of counsel. I was met with encouragement and prayer. I am so grateful and so aware of what they gave to me. Godly counsel, prayer and legal expertise were all given with kindness and care. Now, many years later, I LOVE serving on the Board of Administer Justice. Knowing that I play a part--even a small part-- in what they do is such a blessing to me. I know my life was changed and now I get to see others impacted positively as well. This is truly an organization that honors God and cares about those in need.
My husband and I were on staff at a local church when we first became acquainted with Administer Justice. We have been avid supporters ever since. Years passed and retirement came. Less money to support with, of course, but still it is our desire to do so. Unannounced, a situation arose with the IRS which caused us rapid palpitations and cold sweat! We immediately made an appointment with one of the tax attorneys at Administer Justice. She led us through the process like the pro she is, and managed to comfort us while she helped us to settle in a very satisfactory manner. As supporters, we were treated with love and respect; as recipients, we were treated the very same way! Our appreciation and support will remain with Administer Justice always.
As I work in Marketing and Social Media, I see how fashionable it has become for my generation to have pet causes on their Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn pages. But few of these causes have the long term positive impact and measurable transformative experiences that Administer Justice has on their client's lives. Administer Justice's care and thought into each individual goes beyond legal boundaries, or how best to help them. It addresses God's mission to care for one another, give assistance to those who cannot help themselves and brings us all closer in the process. Administer Justice transforms you into a better volunteer, a more impactful donor, a more thankful person, and a keeper of God's mission.
As a volunteer attorney, I found Administer Justice a great organization. Not only do they have the typical business hours, but they also provide great services to the surrounding community through frequent Saturday morning clinics. With my busy weekday schedule, this provided a great opportunity to help give back to an under-served population that also suffers from time conflicts. Furthermore, Administer Justice improves its volunteers by providing significant training services so they can give the best service possible. Because of this training, I felt empowered to take on several pro bono clients through Administer Justice who needed an additional hand with the court system.
For 3 years as a volunteer bookkeeper for this God-inspired organization, I have witnessed a real heart for serving people without hope. People have been rescued from dire situations in which where they had no place to turn. They have been prayed with and heard the beautiful gospel message of Jesus Christ. Since my initial involvement, I have seen God multiply the territory and efforts of this faithful group of individuals who sacrifice much!
I love Administer Justice! A team of dedicated volunteer attorneys meet with and represent improvrished clients. I have witnessed homes saved, child support collected, adoptions finalized, fraud detected, stolen identities retored, and so much more. Much of the work done by Administer Justice is aimed at educating and empowering individuals so they can successfully navigate the legal system. We need more organizations like this one!
This organization provides a critical service to a very under served population. The poor simply cannot get civil representation or legal counsel the way that wealthier people can. Therefore, their legal situations can be very hopeless. Administer Justice makes the true the phrase "liberty and justice for all."
I work for Moody Publishers, the publisher of Administer Justices' book Gospel Justice by Founder Bruce Strom. There are scores of non-profits with stories worthy to be told, but AJ under Bruce's leadership was a story we felt was unique, impactful and authentic. We immediately got excited about it!
AJ as a volunteer legal organization is "wise as serpents" but also "gentle as doves". They are sharp legal professional, some of the best in their field, with pastoral hearts for those caught in the trap of legal injustice. I appreciate this greatly about them.
AJ has story after story of people and families in legal binds often caused by the injustice of others. The way they not only provide legal counsel and representation, but also spiritual guidance and encouragement to those who need it is inspiring.
Little did I know that I would get to know their work firsthand. When a situation came up in our extended family that was more than we could handle, I suggested AJ. Their team quickly came to the aid of this family member and gave needed advice and legal counsel to help make some tough decisions in a short period of time.
My respect for AJ increased all the more.
I HIGHLY recommend this organization for those facing legal injustice. They are truly "Good Samaritans" here on this earth who give help and hope to strangers on the road of life.
In my humble opinion they are some of the best examples of what it means to be the "hands and feet" of Jesus in a broken and dying world.
Administer Justice cares! Cares for each person as if they were family. They go out of their way to help each person they see and if they can't they go beyond to find an alternative source of help. In my time with AJ as a volunteer, I often leave feeling uplifted myself just by working with them and the clients. Each day is a new day that I look forward to working with them. Everyone there is always willing to listen to the needs and concerns of the client, counsel and even pray with them. There is no other place like Administer Justice.
Administer Justice has been there to support people that come to our church for help when we are unable to guide them through certain legal issues. The AJ volunteers provide an expertise that we simply don't have and do so in such a way that demonstrates God's love.
The Administer Justice team is leading the way in providing legal services to the under resourced in our community. Administer Justice is giving the helpless hope and honoring God as they provide legal services that change lives. People cannot walk into the future with optimism if their present has them engulfed in despair. The legal services provided allow those served to look ahead with unencumbered enthusiasm. I'm proud to support the mission of Administer Justice.
As an attorney volunteer, I have seen the deep need of clients who come to Administer Justice who have no where else to turn. Administer Justice provides genuine hope and real assistance to many people who have been shut out of the legal system because they lack the resources to access the system. I have seen clients rescued from dire legal and financial consequences because Administer Justice stepped in. Beyond legal assistance the organization also provides various forms of counseling and training. As a donor, I appreciate the accountability and oversight of the gifts that come in.
When our church began in the fall of 2007, Administer Justice was there to help us get incorporated. All of the staff served us with the thoroughness and the love of Christ. Administer Justice's devoted support helps young churches get solidly planted and they give sound council when needed. Throughout the years we have been able to direct other clients and churches to the ministry for assistance. Its not often you can come into a professional office and receive genuine concern, prayer and legal expertise in the same visit. We are honored to partner with such an effective non-profit organization. Thanks Administer Justice. Revcnde
Administer Justice has two of my life-directing scriptures within it's main goal, namely Zechariah 7:9 "...administer true justice; show mercy..." and Micah 6:8 "And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God" (NIV). I have had the privilege to serve and pray with many clients when they needed the mercy of the Lord most. I thank God for placing Administer Justice in a place of so much need with few resources. Praise God for His provision through Administer Justice!
I have been involved with Administer Justice since its inception and watched it grow beyond its founder's wildest expectations. As a lawyer, I am impressed with its leadership, staff, volunteers, scope of service and events. i know of no other organizaton that is having a greater impact in the Chicagoland area in the ministries of Christian legal aid and concilation and consumer, tax and other legal counseling.
Administer Justice is in a place that is too often forgotten when meeting the needs of the under-resourced. We think of food, clothing and housing but too many times these people need guidance through a legal morass that is certain to beat them down. Administer Justice steps into that void to provide assistance and hope for those that so desperately need a voice.
For Years this ministry has been a help to the poor and a shelter from the heat in a multitude of ways.. I encourage anyone to read the new book thatis coming out in June, GOSPEL JUSTICE
Administer Justice protects the legal rights of those, who lack the ability or the money to defend themselves. Administer Justice does its best to help those in trouble.
Administer Justice is helping the most vulnerable in our communities who truly have no where else to turn. There are so many people facing civil legal issues that need help and simplty cannot afford an attorney. The elderly are victims of consumer fraud, identity theft is happening everywhere, and single parents are struggling to make ends meet when their child support doesn't arrive. Administer Justice is there to give hope to these individuals and help them navigate our complex legal and government programs. I have never known such a group of dedicated people with big hearts for those in need.
I was nearly without hope when I came to Administer Justice. Burdened down with the news my husband of 10 years wanted a divorce. I was a stay-at-home Mom with no where to turn. Not only did I leave each appointment feeling more hopeful and cared for, the legal advice and actions proved successful. They ministered to my family at one of the worst times in my life. Every person I came in contact with made us feel as though we were the most important appointment of the day. They were truly a blessing. Having Administer Justice involved truly allowed me to better heal and move on when the divorce was final. They administered much more than justice to my family. They administered hope, healing, and a sense of peace.
Administer Justice is blessed with dedicated, loyal and a spiritual staff who give of their time, gifts and skills and who give beyond what is expected. I believe that God is blessing this ministry because of this wonderful group of people!
Overall, I had an outstanding experience interning with Administer Justice. The attorneys are genuinely devoted to using their expertise and experience in such legal fields as family law, tax controversy, landlord-tenant law, consumer rights law, foreclosures, and expungements/clemencies (to name only a few!) in order to serve the communities around Elgin, Illinois. The organization maintains a compressive panel of hundreds of attorneys that are able to work with clients on a pro bono or low bono basis as well. As a law student intern, I was exposed to all of the areas of law practiced by Administer Justice and able to see how different attorneys manage clients and deal with complex legal issues from differing points of view. My responsibilities included assisting with client intakes (starting on day 1), researching and drafting legal memoranda as questions arose, writing engagement letters to clients, communicating with the IRS and Taxpayer Advocate Service, assisting with motions and other court documents for self-representing clients, and preparing legal and informational brochures for clients. All of my work was completed under direct attorney supervision, and all of the attorneys were able to evaluate and provide honest feedback of my work. Feedback is freely provided! Administer Justice attorneys are natural mentors. They would often re-cap the day's legal issues and ask me for my reaction to a client's legal concerns. I truly felt a part of the Administer Justice team rather than just a short-term summer intern. I believe that I am returning to law school having had a significantly better internship than my law school peers. I would strongly recommend Administer Justice as an excellent organization to volunteer and develop your skills and gifts.
As an intake specialist, I take phone calls and meet clients in person in the office. I have been pleasantly surprised at the satisfaction of the clients. One client, Theresa, initially came in the office frustrated and frazzled, but after meeting with the attorney she expressed to me how pleased she was that the attorney really listened to her and understood her situation. She was impressed with the creative ideas the attorney had and planned to complete, as quickly as possible, the things the attorney instructed her to do for her case. I see clients every day who come in to the office for their first appointment, afraid, frustrated and exasperated, but when they leave, they are smiling and thanking me for the great job Administer Justice has just done for them.
Administer Justice is a wonderful non-profit providing comprehensive legal, financial and conflict resolution services to low income individuals. They seek to empower the powerless, give hope to the hopeless and show mercy and compassion to individuals who are often marginalized in Kane and McHenry counties of Illinois. Administer Justice offers free educational seminars, financial and dispute resolution counseling and legal representation when appropriate. Clients meet with real attorneys who are carefully matched to best address the client's situation. Administer Justice is supported by donations and by the work of many volunteers, like me, who want to make a difference using the skills I already have. Incredibly, a recent audit showed that .99 of every dollar donated to Administer Justice goes directly to meeting client needs. You can be sure your support is very much appreciated. Clients can expect to meet with ethical, highly skilled and compassionate people who want to help you find a solution to the problems you face.
