Programs: Day treatment program the program is a mental health and/or substance abuse service program that builds on strengths and addresses the identified functional problems associated with the complex conditions of each individual child or adolescent and family. The program is designed to support sympton reduction, and/or sustain symptom stability at the lowest possible levels, increase the individual's ability to cope and relate to others, support and sustain recovery, and enhance the child's capacity to function in an inclusive setting or to be maintained in community based services. The day treatment program serviced 30 consumers during the year.
gang alliance the program goal is to reduce the episodes of gang involvement by implementing a community wide plan to mobilize stakeholders to share the responsibility of solving these problems. The phoenix curriculum was used as the foundation for an 8 week gang prevention instructional program. During the last quarter, instruction was provided to 218 students.
supplemental educational services the program promotes academic achievement through student learning and behavior support by facilitating student understanding of math and reading concepts. A 10-week supplemental educational services program is provided through the north carolina department of public instruction to students in grades k-8. Services were provided to approximately 200 students during the year.
