My husband and I adopted a rescue dog from this shelter. We live in Seattle area, so it was a bit of a drive, but worth it! The staff was kind and informative. And we've had a few concerns about Faye (our dog) since her adoption, and they've answered everything.

In 2009 our shelter burnt to the ground. We are currently housing all our dogs in the city pound and in foster homes.

We are the only non profit animal rescue organization in our county of 1946 sq miles. Our county has the hightes poverty rate in the state of Washington. We annually rescue, spay/neuter, rehabilitate over 250 dogs and cats a year. Last year we also took in 6 horses. Birds and other animals have come our way through the years. An all volunteer organization we work hard at helping those animals in need around us.

We work very close with our local law agencies, county and city. Anytime there is a situation involving animals we are called on to care for the animals. We often get calls from elderly who cannot care for their beloved pets any longer because they know we care so much.

Our volunteers have so many heart warming stories about their fosters and rescues we could and should write a book!
