Founded by Jacqueline Novogratz in 2001, Acumen has also developed a global community of emerging leaders with the knowledge, skills and determination to create a more inclusive world through Acumen Academy. Half way into the book the Blue Sweater I sent an email to The Acumen fund. The person in NY put me in touch with London who were organising their first event, the timing was great. Acumen aligns with my insides in a way Im still trying to find words for. I am an African that beleives in teaching people to fish not giving them fish. The investments Acumen make in entrepreneurs in developing countries encourages both a return on investment in cash terms and a huge return on investment in human terms, without which there would be no monetary gain.
