Action VC is an incredible organization that has helped me take action in my community by creating content to spread the word to get others involved in helping those in need. It has been a place where I have learned a lot so far and can’t wait to see what’s next in my nonprofit journey with ActionVC
The Christmas Shoppe organized by Action VC brings so much joy. Both the clients and the volunteers have a chance to learn from each other.
For the past two years I have assisted in gathering toys, helping clients choose items for their family and working with other volunteers.It’s definitely become a part of our family Christmas season and I hope that it continues to grow and weave itself in to our community.
I worked with ACTION VC as a pastor to give our church small groups opportunities to serve the tangible needs in our local community. Now I have the privilege of being part of ACTION VC and seeing first hand the incredible impact being made throughout Ventura County. Lives are being transformed as people with disabilities receive the freedom and mobility of a free wheelchair ramp. Communities are being strengthened as seniors and low-income neighbors are connecting with volunteer groups to receive home repairs and yard maintenance. And thousands of kids receive the joy of Christmas each year through Community Christmas Shoppe which is now in 6 locations serving the most vulnerable families in need. I am proud of the work ACTION VC is doing and grateful to be a part of it!
I enjoyed collecting gifts for the Community Christmas Shoppe this year. The event was very organized and all the volunteers were so kind and helpful. I was honored to volunteer on the day of the event to assist all the families in choosing gifts for their children. The feeling of helping the families is so heartwarming and fulfilling. Next time, I will focus my gift collection on teens, there's a need for more teen items. Thank you for the opportunity and community support.
I've done projects with ACTION for over 10 years. They connect volunteers and groups with local seniors and other low-income residents in need. They do great training and I have had tons of great experiences. I have referred many friends to ACTION as well, who are in need of help or who want to help others in need.
ACTION VC is one of those very rare organizations - that is extremely successful at effectively lifting others up, and making the community a much healthier world. I am honored and privileged to be a part of this powerful group for over 15 years - and I look forward to seeing the great accomplishments that lie ahead in ACTIONS future.
Been connected since the start 16 years ago. Unbelievable results impacting many, many thousands of folks in and about Ventura County and surrounds. Major focus on children, the less fortunate, seniors, vets, the disabled and others in need through daily and annual programs that engage countless volunteers from the church, agency and business community to serve together. Constantly reinventing ourselves to be more effective and operate with minimum paid staff and maximum volunteers. The net financial reward to the community often exceeds the investment by a factor of 4. Clearly this NP stand by it's tag line of being "better together?
ACTION VC is an amazing organization that has been connecting volunteers in Ventura County with people who have practical needs in the community. Often the people with needs have no other source of help and ACTION has been able to find just the right volunteer help to meet the need. As a donor, I have never had a doubt about my contributions being used wisely. And as a volunteer over a decade or so, I have always found ACTION's leadership to be exceptional and my involvement in the service projects has been meaningful both to me and those who are served. This is a great organization!!
Passion, compassion, and a giving heart is at the core of this great organizations. They truly carry out what every christian is required to do, which is love thy neighbor and help those in need. I have witnessed first hand how Action provides support and resources to the elderly, senior citizens, homeless, and troubled teens. I fully support this organization.
Actionvc.org fills a roll in Ventura County like no other non-profit for over 15 years. Action is always ready to serve those in need each day of the week. Action specializes in meeting the needs of the under-served especially the senior, special needs and poor population. Other than an extremely small and efficient staff, Action's service is accomplished by volunteers from churches, private companies and at large who want to make a difference in their communities by helping others. In fact other non-profit and even government agencies refer people to Action for assistance that theses other organizations cannot provide. In comparison to other non-profits, it may be smaller but accomplishes much more for the communities ii serves.
Action is an amazing non-profit that serves the most vulnerable in Ventura County. I love how easy they make it to volunteer and the staff go above and beyond to coordinate a smooth experience. Thank you Action!
ACTIONVC has gone above and beyond for years in Ventura County. ACTION serves those in need on a continuous basis including accessibility, under-resourced needs and seniors. It has been a privilege and an honor to be on the board of ACTIONVC. Many times, people have tried other sources for help, but to no avail, until ACTIONVC steps in and helps. That is caring for someone! That is what ACTION VC does best.
