ACF is an efficient and trustworthy organization. I really admire their passion and motivation. When you see their great effort, you understand that every penny you donate goes for a good cause! Also, I really want to support them as a volunteer in the future.

I got the opportunity to work as a volunteer in the New York City Headquarters from May - August. From this experience I was able to learn about the life-saving programs around the world as well as develop professional skills in marketing, communications, and fundraising from their professional staff.

The organization consistently meets real issues with long-term, sustainable solutions and the money goes where it's supposed to - 93% of donations go straight to their life saving programs. I contribute to Action Against Hunger because $0.93 of every dollar goes directly to field operations! With such low overhead, it doesn't get much better than that for making sure as much as my donation helps those in need!

Action Against Hunger has become the major focus of my charitable giving. What they do is incredibly important and it appears from my research that they do it very well. I initially donated to Action Against Hunger three years ago because after doing some research, I felt it was a good fit for where my heart is. After giving, I received a warm thank you and subsequently have been contacted a couple times a year with information. What I am saying is they don't waste a bunch of postage on junk-mail that would just irritate me. But they also make it very clear that if I ever have questions or want more information, they will accommodate me. So, I have continued to donate to AAH with a sense of peace that the funds are being used efficiently for a noble cause.

I donated to Action Against Hunger after learning more about the organization through a personal contact there. What initially impressed me was the passion of the people who work there. They truly are committed to eradicating world hunger and work as a team to make inroads and respond to crises. That combined with the transparency and coast effectiveness of the organization makes supporting Action Against Hunger/ACF USA a no-brainer!

My friend showed me a video about the work that ACF and other organizations are doing to decrease world hunger and make it easier to get food to those who need it most. In this animated video, they talked of families who couldn't get their children to the hospital in time to get the food that they needed and the children perished. This was shown through the use of animation of of a baby in a box that suddenly disappeared. I was so saddened by the disappearing baby boxes and impressed by all the wonderful work ACF has done to create non-perishable food to get to children that I felt impelled to become a monthly donor right then and there. It's the least I can do to help prevent babies in boxes form disappearing.

ACF is dedicated to assisting children and their families with the most basic requirements for health and survival -- clean water and nutritional supplements. In many places across the globe, children benefit from the help that ACF provides. The ACF message is a compelling one, the organization is cost-effective and efficient, and I'm proud to support their efforts.

I recently became a donor after I had a chance to personally ask all the questions I had about how they are fighting hunger. I was impressed that they dont only hand out food, but also tackle all the causes that lead to emergency treatment. I know that with my donation, I am making an impact and saving lives.

I have been an Action Against Hunger donor for sometime now. I have always felt comfortable donating through AAH. Born and raised in Bangladesh, I know the devastating effect of hunger, malnutrition and abject poverty. I am not a wealthy man, but I try to give to the best of my ability, for I know even a little amount can go a long way to alleviate suffering among an impoverished population.

I believe this organization goes the farthest with the money donated. I would say any nonprofit group is a great choice, I chose Action Against Hunger becuase they cover the most countries in the world. The way I see it is that the more ground we can cover, the closer we come to ending world hunger.

I believe in my heart that no child or family should ever have to go a day without eating. If the world could just come together to help a brother or sister, mother or father, we might find a satisfying peace within ourselves and within the lives of others that we have helped. It is our duty to step up and lend our hands to those in need. "Why ?" we might ask ? The answer is simple. Karma. And may she be as kind to us as our we have given to others. True to its name, AAH takes action. What impresses me most about the organization is how action is informed by the needs and capacity of the local population AND by the evaluation it conducts in the field of what has and hasn't worked, and why. Action Against Hunger is by far the best choice for my donations, due to both the critical mission it performs and to the high efficiency of its fundraising and other administrative operations. I have always been very leery of donating to charity for fear that my dollars would not be used for their intended purposes. After doing a good deal of research into reputable charities I saw that Action Against Hunger was one of the top rated charities on every review site I could find. As a Christian I believe that I have a God given duty to try and help the less fortunate in whatever ways that I can and I feel good knowing that this small effort on my part can be used to help people far, far less fortunate then myself. If you are considering donating to a worthy charity that will use your gift to the greatest good I don't think you can do better then Action Against Hunger. Please consider giving.

I have been supporting Action Contre la Faim/Action Against Hunger in France and now in the US. I have seen that they are able to spot when hunger comes to any part of the world, in particular when new crisis appears (such as the drought in Mongolia a couple of years ago). I volunteered two events for Action Against Hunger - Le Grand Fooding and PJ Wines Grand Wine Festival. By volunteering, I had the chance to see some of the action behind the scenes and was able to observe the production of the events. In both cases, the organizers, volunteers and participants meshed together well to create an entertaining and informative experience. I enjoyed being involved not only for helping Action Against Hunger with their fight to end world hunger, but also because I got to see members of the organization instill their passion and values into the participants.

AAH's distribution of donated funds is very fair, the number of preventative programs is high, they act quick when needed and don't waste too much money on direct mails and ineffective promotional items. I wish they would shift their communication even more to electronic means, but still, they don't make the mistake that so many (especially major) organizations do.

i think fight against hunger has to invest in agriculture rather than helping the people who are already in the tragedy as well as attacking the key problems to hunger like poverty climate and political atmosphere of the most nation.

I am proud to be a graduate and agric extension as an area of specialisation in Nagerian University.... in fact, from the North-East states of the country where hunger is at it peak due to desertification, shortage of rainfall and ignorance of the people there.
97% of those people from that area (North-East states) speak Hausa which i am also one of them... i am always thinking of what i can do to them, be part of there solution not problem. So as an extension agent, change agent to both rural and urban people my ideas on new agricultural innovations will be a greater help.

I was at church today and the pastor brought out some things .The one thing that caught my attention is how we take for granted what other people do not have.So as he went on talking about life outside the USA.Poverty is an understatement for other people and especially kids.As much as i care about people i felt if i could not help everyone and( then there was the trust issue). Then why try at all ,when i clicked on this sight. NOW i understand if i just donate when i can it probably will go a long way.Thinking about where i came from was tough for any kid, escaping violence and dealing with hunger.Now multiply that by a billion i cant even imagine what these kids and parents go through.So before this year is out GOD willing I will be a donor

The news stories about the refugees from Somalia going to Kenya absolutely rips my heart into pieces! The innocent children who are dying due to war and famine is unacceptable to me. We may be facing difficult times here in the USA, but it is nothing compared to what the refugees are facing. We need organizations like this to help save these innocent lives!

Even though my business failed during the beginning of the Great Recession, my problems are miniscule compared to what the Sudanese are going through. My heart goes out to the Sudanese people.

With everything going on in today's world its hard look past your own problems, but even the smallest kindness can have a life changing effect for someone in need of life's basic necessities. I personally struggle week to week to get by, but that doesn't compare to what millions of people across the world struggle with on a daily basis. If I can find a way to help people less fortunate than myself we all can. Even though people have different status in life we all have the same dignity. I hope one day we can all start to respect each other for the one thing we all share our humanity.
