Aaron’s Acres is a wonderful experience for children with special needs. The children love attending and the staff is top notch. My son Matthew attended camp for a few summers and loved the experiences he had there. If any nonprofit should receive an award, it certainly should be Aaron’s Acres.

Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: Recreational programming for children who have developmental disabilities
Programs: During the school year, structured activities are provided to children ages 5-21 on a 2 1/2 hour session per month in berks and lancaster counties. During the summer, a camp program is provided in berks, dauphin and lancaster counties. Programming for the sibilings and parents is provided as well, throughout the year in the form of support groups, informational sessions and family events.
