A Simple Gesture makes it so easy to donate to food to people in need within our community. The porch pick up is extremely convenient. Timely communication provided by ASG makes certain the pick up date is not forgotten.

Simple Gesture is such a great way to help our neighbors and people all around the city. You fill a bag and Simple Gesture will come and get it right off your front porch. I started with Simple Gesture when our church Wesley Memorial started working with Simple Gesture. I fill 4 bags in 2 months and I don't miss the money because I get food for the bags along with my groceries. A GREAT way to give. I hit the wrong "choose your role " I just fill the bags with food

What I love about this non-profit is they make it incredibly easy to contribute to food-insecurity in the community and surrounding communities, as well as being very well organized. It just makes sense to be a volunteer and donator because of how simple and smooth every process is handled. I only volunteer to drive when I have the availability, but I am a donor mostly.

Ever since I became aware of ASG through my church, it became a convenient way to donate to my community. I can pick up a couple of food items on my shopping trips, and volunteers pick up my green bag at my home every other month. Also, I can order food items from ASG partners like Walmart or Amazon to go directly to ASG.

When I volunteered to host an ASG holiday booth at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, I had time to actually read the brochures I was handing out. That made me aware of how involved ASG is with so many food banks, schools and community resources--it had a profound effect on my perception of ASG!

I really appreciate this organization. I easily forget to make food donations to pantries. But A Simple Gesture sends email reminders and comes to my house to pick up the bags. My kids get to help gather things that they know will help feed another person. It is a wonderful organization. I know it supplies back pack beginnings for children in school as well. There are children who benefit from that program at our local elementary school. It feels very good to give to this program.

Simple Gesture makes it easy and convenient for people to donate non perishable food. I’m enjoying being a driver and picking up the bags. It’s a great way for neighbors to get involved with food donation. At the warehouse on pick up days, different groups volunteer their time to unload the cars. Boy scout troops, youth groups, etc. get the opportunity to do some mission work in their community and learn about hunger issues.

I have seen first hand the many homeless and less fortunate people being fed at the many missions and churches in the High Point area where Simple Gesture drivers drop off food. The need is very great and this is a very easy and non invasive way to collect food. No one has to leave their house in order to donate except for the drivers that collect. Being a choice of 1 every other month is also not a burden on most households.

Simple Gestures is a fantastic local nonprofit working hard to feed the hungry in our community. They make it so easy to be a donor! You get a green reusable shopping bag (however many you want), fill it up with groceries, and on your collection day set it out at your front door. Simple Gestures has volunteer drivers who make the pick-ups and leave a fresh green bag for the next pick-up. The drivers contact the donors before the pick-up day and remind them. In addition to the drivers' reminders, Simple Gestures also reminds donors of their day and gives suggestions about what items are needed. There's a permanent list of items to donate, but near the pick-up day you get updates about what is needed the most. This whole system works seamlessly and makes it a breeze to donate. I enjoy grocery shopping for my green bags and am grateful to the drivers for picking up my bags. The organization also sends out regular newsletters and emails to keep folks informed. Simple Gestures not only serves the underfed populations of our community, but they also give neighbors, friends, and citizens a way to be involved with helping others.

This wonderful group of folks makes "doing good" in the community so easy! They send gentle reminders via email so you have ample time to fill your green bag(s) with nonperishable food. Food insecurity is a very serious challenge that deserves our attention. I am thankful that partering with A Simple Gesture is so simple to do.

What could be more "simple" than picking up a few extra non-perishable staples each time you shop for groceries and putting them in a nice bag which is provided for you and picked up at your doorstep? The concept is genius! It's so satisfying to know that people all over the area are filling bags and helping with food insufficiency.

I joined A Simple Gesture a few years ago. It is so easy to do. You just get a green bag to put your food donations in and pick up items on the list provided when you are in the grocery store. Then every 1-2 months a volunteer diver and pick up person will come to your house and pick up the green bag off of your front porch or steps. It makes such a difference for our community with all the non perishable foods providing help to the food pantries in the area.
