We found our new loving, amazing furry family member at A Path for Paws last year. I am so grateful! Pumpkin, our sweet Border Collie was at the rescue on a Sat morning.. I came back that afternoon and we took her home that day on a trial foster for the week. We all know how that ended!! Thank you for offering the trial foster week, it really is helpful because we had no idea what to expect with an adult dog that we hadn’t been with, it helped make the transition less of a “risk”.. I also had a great experience with the women volunteering that day. Awesome experience all around, thank you!!
We found a puppy and unfortunately although we tried everything to find its owner no one came forward. We already have three fur babies and realized we were not up to the challenge of a puppy. The dog pound is no place for a puppy so fortunately after trying desperately to find a good home for “Eddie “ A Path for Paws and Marlene stepped in to help him. They were able to find him a wonderful forever home and we are eternally grateful!
A Path 4 Paws is a wonderful rescue. Their volunteers are all so helpful and kind. I adopted my sweet Rufus from them and recommend them to anyone I know looking for a new best friend.
Best non profit! And true non profit! Everyone here is a volunteer no one accepts money. All money goes to dogs and that is priceless! Thank you for all you do! Please follow them and engage in their posts it’s the new way rescues can make money supporting these poor orphaned babies!
We love Path 4 Paws; a few years ago we lost 3 dogs in 1 year all due to some form of cancer or other terminal conditions. We adopted 2 beautiful, sweet, adorable dogs, both around 2-3 years old. They were in foster care so someone took good care of them until they were adopted. I would recommend anyone wanting a dog to go adopt from here, it's well run by people who care, it's a clean facility, all the dogs look well and adoptable from tiny to big, young to senior, they all need good homes.
A Path 4 Paws is an exceptional group of devoted volunteers that match their dogs to families. They go above and beyond to support their foster families as well as the families that adopt. We have them to thank for our sweet Lucy and Indiana!
A Path 4 Paws is hands down one of the greatest animal non profits in Nevada. I have had the honor of adopting two wonderful dogs from this organization. Abby and Charlie have been a great addition to our pack. They love playing with their siblings and getting spoiled. Everyone in the organization cares deeply for their animals and makes sure they go to loving homes. They are all so selfless and full of love for what they do. I absolutely recommend adopting from them. I donate as frequently as I can because they give so much to animals that have nothing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about A Path 4 Paws.
One of the BEST rescues in Las Vegas. A Path 4 Paws saves so many dogs. They are very consistent, same location same hours every week. You always know where they are if you need help.
After we lost our 12 year old terrier mix dog, my daughter was heartbroken because that was her best friend. She got him when he was 6 weeks old. She found A Path 4 Paws and asked if we could come and see the dogs. Well lo & behold we looked around and found a multipoo whose name was Buddy and we fostered him for a week before adopting him. He has been with us for six months and we all love him even our other dog named Tiny. Thank you everyone for all your help in helping us with the adoption process. I will highly recommend your organization to anyone who is looking for a dog.
Adopting from A Path 4 Paws has been life-changing for me, as well as for a few lucky dogs over the last 15 years.
I now Volunteer and Foster for the rescue and I can’t say enough good things about my fellow volunteers, and the rewarding experiences we share. If you are looking for a new friend, or you have some time to give of yourself, A Path 4 Paws is a great place to check out.
This Rescue is amazing. Volunteer, adopt, donate or just share their posts. They have save 1000’s of dogs. I first met Naomi in 2007 and would not foster for anybody else. All volunteers that put up with so much sadness and create so much joy.
Dedication, knowledge, experience, and the patients to work with these pups that need an advocate!! That is what a path 4 paws is about!! The struggle is real and they battle 24 seven and continually Give 110% to these pups to find their furever home!! God bless you guys❤️✌
I lost my dog of 16 years to cancer I was heartbroken. In August of 2021 I started looking for a small dog I filled out the app online for Path 4 Paws, drove over on Saturday only to find out the little guy I hoped for had been adopted. I’m standing by the cages looking at this sad eyed beagle mix much bigger than what I wanted. The volunteer says you want to me her? She takes her out of the cage we go into the little meeting room and Daisy jumped on my lap laid her head across my chest on my shoulder. We have been together ever since. She is the love of my life! Path 4 Paws is the best ever! They knew what we both needed and that was each other!
A Path 4 Paws is one of the largest all volunteer, all breed, no kill RESCUES in the state of Nevada! They hold large adoption events every Saturday and Sunday at 232 N Jones Suite 170. They RESCUE dogs from kill shelters and also take dogs from the public that have no place to go when they are not longer wanted. No dog leaves the RESCUE unless they are spay/neutered and up to date on their shots. When you adopt from them you sign a contract that for whatever reason if you can not keep the dog, the dog must be returned to AP4P. IF a dog does not get adopted they care for the dog for its entire life.
I adopted my dog from the 4 years ago. I follow them on FB and they are always promoting their dogs. They seem to have a large network of volunteers and community support. They take great care of their dogs.
This amazing charity rescued several dogs that were due to be euthanised. I was following one of the dogs that was rescued from a high kill centre and hoping that she would be saved. Thank goodness they came along when they did and saved all these dogs, fabulous work!
I started fostering for them about 16 years ago. Their name was different at the time. They changed things up and I continued to support them and refer people to them. Approximately 2 years ago, I started supporting AP4P through sales at craft fairs with my small business. I also volunteer daily and help with social media. Amazing rescue and group of volunteers.
We got our dog, Kutya, from A Path 4 Paws several years ago and could not ask for a better dog. He is loving, and affectionate, guards our front door and is respectful of our cat The process to meet the dogs worked well and the transaction was easy. We are so glad we found our boy. This is a pic of him now that he has gained a few grey hairs :)
We had the best experience adopting our sweet girl from A Path for Paws. They were organized, friendly, and upfront. We love her so much. ❤️
We have rescued 2 doggies from A Path 4 Paws. Our first one was a little over 2 yrs ago. Mazey was a 9 yr old Dalmatian/pit mix and is doing great at 11 yrs now. Then a few months ago, we decided to foster Sgt Grumbles. He is a 7 yr old very large mix breed who was depressed since he was with the rescue for almost a year. We brought him home and his personality started to come through. Needless to say we were a foster failure. On both occasions, we were very happy when completing the adoption process. I highly recommend A Path 4 Paws when looking to rescue your next fur baby!
We adopted “Jake” (now Bo) last October 29th (it was his second birthday which made it even more special).
He is the sweetest boy and fit right in with our family, including our 12 year old golden.
We always talk about how lucky we were to find him. Path for Paws was so great to work with. They do an awesome job finding new homes for the precious pups.
Thank you for making a difference in our lives
A Path for Paws has a great vetting process. They do their due diligence to make sure you and your home and the dogs are a match. They get you all set up with any vet appointments and information needed. I got my puppy Louie from them after my Golden and I did a meet and greet. Louie had some trauma response and fearfulness at first but he is a love bug now. Please consider A Path for Paws as an adopter, foster or volunteer. They are amazing!
We adopted “Tanke” (now “Tonka”) in November of 2021. (We briefly fostered him first to make sure he was ok with our parrot). Lucky Tonka—lucky US!
The dedication of the volunteers who man this organization is phenomenal.
The animals are rescued from a wide geographical area and are so well cared for.
This organization is a gift and an asset to our community!
Fostered for them for a while before adopting. We would not have fostered for just anyone, but it was obvious almost immediately that Naomi (the director) was a good one. Every dog we saw that caught sight of her or heard her voice tried to head her way on their walks. I’m the type of person that believes a dog is the best judge of character. Turns out they were right. The kind of things she’s seen and had to deal with, I honestly don’t know if I could handle. She loves those dogs, and she is hard as steel when it comes to their care and making sure they go to the best homes. We even had to put down a foster while working with them and her compassion at that time was so heartwarming. I trust her and respect her and would not hesitate to adopt from or volunteer with this organization again. Unfortunately we moved away, but we miss A Path 4 Paws dearly.
I adopted dear Bruce, an older gentleman. AP4P allowed me to drive down from Elko and bring him home, and we were so lucky to be granted this exception to their rules about only adopting out locally. Bruce had a wonderful life with a dog sister and cat brother. Then we helped him pass peacefully. A wonderful organization. Very devoted and honest.
Wandered into one of thier adoption events one day not really looking for a dog. Ended up taking home a senior dog who they had for quite some time and he was amazing. Ended up getting another about 2 years later and couldn't be happier. This organization is a class act and truly cares about the dogs and finding them forever homes.
I love this rescue. I adopted my best friend bella from them in 2019 and couldn't be happier. They were kind to the animals, friendly and knowledgeable. They take very good care of the dog's and would highly recommend adopting from this rescue.
A Path 4 Paws granted me the BEST dog I could ever ask for. I was so lucky to have found a Path 4 Paws. They’re so passionate, caring, knowledgeable, and affordable for everyone. I highly recommend them with all of my heart!
I adopted my Yoshie from A Path 4 Paws. What an amazing experience. They foster, learn as much about the dogs as possible so you know what you are getting into. This is so important! You won’t find an easier process (but still selective and secure) out there.
I am forever grateful to Naomi and the volunteers, I was a foster mother and adopted these beautiful babies and they were my joy for 15 years. The best I could ask for. Thank you
Everyone at P4P works very hard to place their rescue dogs in loving homes. They give of their time, energy and their resources. They have had great success in rescuing dogs of all ages. We are blessed to have them in our community
They saves lives and bring joy.
Path 4 Paws a very compassionate group that wants the best for their animals in need. They work hard to ensure that pets go to homes that are capable of caring for them long term. They are thorough in their vetting process which shows how much they care. I support them whole heartedly and we adopted our senior pup Buddy from them a few months ago. They ensured his needs were met and made the process smooth.
Keep up the great on behalf of our furry friends in need!
Just about 8 months ago we went to A Path 4 Paws to meet Betty White. The volunteers were all so helpful and nice. The process was very easy and we are so happy that we adopted Betty. We came in as a family of 3, and left as a family of 4.❤️
We adopt Bunny from A Path 4 Paws in Feb 2021. All of the staff were friendly and professional. You can definitely tell that the volunteers take great care and provide all the love they can for these fur babies. They all appear in healthy shape, all waiting for their next hooman parent.
I love being a volunteer for this amazing dog rescue and been for a long time now. They do a very awesome job saving and rehoming dogs whether they come from the shelter as strays, owner surrenders etc. I love spending a few hours helping them out with walking the dogs and showing them to potential adopters when they have their weekend adoption events.
This Dog Rescue Rocks.
Amazing! The volunteers here all care for the dogs and it shows. They do all they can to ensure dogs end up in their forever homes. We adopted our husky, Max through them.
We loved it so much we began volunteering at events, cleaning, and fostering. They support they give was immeasurable.
Your best option for finding the right dog for your family!!
I adopted a dog and paid 200 came home with the dog and was not really informed that the other dog the dog snap and puncture her eye I had to take my dog to surgery paid approximately $1800 for the surgery and I had to return the my dog was trembling and shaking when I brought her back home from the surgery I didn’t think it was fair for her to be scared to death of this dog even though I thought that was a good dog but I don’t think the paws 4 path procedure correctly dog which was horrible because I felt bad it wasn’t the dogs fault I should’ve been prewarned on with the dog had issues with other dogs I did not get a refund or anything else how to stream because you don’t get the refund if you bring the dog back
About three years ago, I chose to begin fostering dogs for A Path 4 Paws Dog Rescue. I had been looking for a way to give to an organization I felt had “heart”; a group that did more than go through the motions. One Saturday, I dropped off some towels and blankets to the A Path 4 Paws adoption center where I witnessed fully engaged volunteers. They were walking dogs, showing the dogs to prospective adopters, and giving attention and affection to their 4 legged charges. Adopters are screened and required to bring in the whole family, including other4 legged pets, to meet with any potential adoptee. I knew I wanted to work with them.
Since then, I’ve fostered many dogs who have gone on to find their happy forever family. Three of them became members of my family. During this time, I have been constantly amazed at how devoted this group of volunteers are and how much time and work goes into ensuring these dogs are well and healthy before they are ready for adoption. That means hours on the road, in veterinarian's offices and working the adoption events. This is all volunteer work using whatever funds can be raised to cover the common expenses of spay/nurturing, shots, ID chips and daily care. Many dogs come to the rescue with more extensive and costly health issues. A few, sadly, require a “hospice foster”, but even these are given love and dignity as long as it’s needed. Their care is covered by donations as well.
I have such respect and admiration for these people who give so much to help save and see these great animals receive more love than most of them have known; to find, not just a home for them, but the right home. I’m very proud to know and honored to have a small part working with the people in this group.
We felt really blessed to find path 4 paws. We were able to adopt an adorable puppy we named Jet. Jet's mom was a stray and path 4 paws took her and nourished her and her 4 puppies. As a result we have a beautiful energetic puppy. The volunteers at path 4 paws are angels helping many sweet fur babies find thier fur ever hame. I highly recommend them to any one looking to adopt. I also want to thank Kimm for her loving care of Cookie and Cookies puppies
A Path 4 Paws, led by Naomi Yaussy, is such an incredible organization that is committed to rescuing dogs, making sure they’re in good health and if not - getting them the vet care they need, and placing them in loving homes.
Naomi and her team of volunteers will stop at absolutely nothing to ensure the dogs under AP4P’s care are placed in the best home possible, cared for in the way they deserve, and continue to have our committed network of volunteers as an extended family for their fur baby.
There are some long-time volunteers that I have the privilege of learning from and volunteering with that are so important in making sure the adoption events can run well and that we have everything needed each weekend (I’m talking to you Marleen, Kimm, Laura, Heidi, Margie, et al).
I am a foster and volunteer at adoption events. At first, I was so afraid that I’d want to keep every dog. And yes, that feeling did happen most times!
Ultimately, knowing that my goal is to get to know the dog so I can be present at the adoption events, meeting the families that are interested in adopting, is such an important role. I make sure that the dog will be going to the right environment and family for their personality, size, breed, activity level, and needs. I feel like volunteering here really fulfills me in a way I don’t get at my Mon-Fri 9-5 job so I absolutely love spending my weekends here!
This rescue is important and does so much good in the community. I am lucky to be able to volunteer here and hope that many others will come foster, help at adoption events, and help transport dogs to & from vet appts. You will love it!
A Path 4 Paws is a very special rescue, filled with dogs who are in desperate need of forever homes and people who truly care about the dogs. The volunteers are super dedicated to taking care of the dogs and the dogs are given necessary medical care while they are waiting to be adopted. This rescue goes above and beyond to make sure animals are saved from overcrowded kill shelters, stray situations and from people who no longer want their pets. I Really enjoyed my adoption experience… I have two dogs from A Path 4 Paws…and working on a third!
A Path 4 Paws Dog Rescue is an amazing dog rescue, filled with a wonderful group of volunteers that are totally dedicated to saving dogs and finding them forever homes. This dedication comes from their President and Founder, Naomi Yaussy, who has been saving dogs since 2002. A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events every weekend, and normally find 25-30 forever homes, to date they have saved over 3500+ dogs. A Path 4 Paws has a strong foster force with a growing number of followers and volunteers, they also work within the Las Vegas community and surrounding areas to assist with owner surrenders if owners fall on hard times. They give back to the community by supplying dog food and related items to those who are in need of assistance. All the dogs are healthy, happy, spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. A Path 4 Paws will not ever leave any dog behind, and will do whatever it takes to find the perfect home. Because of the dedication and caring, A Path 4 Paws continues to grow, making them a Dog Rescue success where they stand apart in their mission to save dogs.
I have been fostering puppies for A Path 4 Paw for over 3 years now. I have also adopted two of my dogs from A Path 4 Paws and they are the best doggies ever!
They are an AMAZING dog rescue group in Las Vegas that does everything possible to rescue, foster and adopt dogs!
This is a great place to adopt a dog. They make sure the dog is a good fit for you and your other dog (if applicable). I was able to bring my dog then they had me take the adoptee and my dog and walk through the Cal Ranch store next door so we were positive we were a match. The place is clean and the pets are obviously well taken care of. The workers are great too. It is apparentfrom the Facebook posts I am not the only one who feels this way!! I am in love with Iggy and so is his brother Serjie.
I have fostered for this amazing dog rescue group for many years and foster failed 4 times over that period. The care they give their homeless dogs is outstanding. If a dog comes in and needs medical attention, dental, etc, it is given. Their volunteers work hard in finding the dogs amazing homes. I always recommend this organization when someone is looking to adopt.

I have volunteered and fostered for the founder of this dog rescue for almost 19 years! She has dedicated her life to saving dogs and finding them their forever homes. My kids are now helping in the volunteering process as well. My daugher helps on adoption days with puppies and by also cleaning up from the dogs and filling water bowls and giving lots of love. My son (and his muscles) helps me when we need carpet donations picked up and delivered, as well as donations of dog food, etc. My husband is always welcoming and ready to help when we have a foster come into our home. Some have needed lots of love and training to be able to be adopted out again. We love the fostering experience and is so rewarding to see them thrive in their new homes. We have also adopted 4 dogs over these 19 years from this group. I can't say enough on how hard all our volunteers work to find our dogs loving homes.
