Fostered over 20 dogs for this amazing rescue. I adopted 2 of my fosters. Went to adoption events on Saturdays for 2 years. If I didn’t live over a hour away, I’d foster again. I also have a 3rd dog we adopted from them. Great amazing organization that does so much for the over population of animals in Vegas. They do all they can to save as many as they can. Love Dianna and all she stands for

I came upon AH4S when they needed fosters for a litter of Husky mix babies, I came met the team and just knew these were my people. I foster failed (or what I called a blessing) my puppy, then my adult children (who don’t live at home) adopted her brother. The process was smooth, I had the paperwork I needed to get them set up with my vet. The team helped me with food, etc during the foster then was a great asset to me after adoption! I loved it so much I’m fostering again!

I became a foster to adopt mom 3 years ago with A Home 4 Spot. The work of everyone involved from volunteers to fosters and everyone in between is done out of an abundance of love for animals. I am now the mom of 4 foster fails with AH4S. The furbabies come fully vetted with all info they have to help pair with the proper homes. I highly recommend becoming a foster and even better an adopter for AH4S. I adore everyone I’ve had to opportunity to meet, they are professional, caring and the biggest hearted people.

I have adopted 4 dogs throughout the years from A Home 4 Spot, all of which were saved from high kill shelters or abuse situations. The volunteers work tirelessly to help save animals and support the community in Las Vegas. I always recommend them to anyone who wants to adopt or volunteer by opening their home and hearts to animals in need.

I can’t say enough about this amazing rescue! Not only are they angels for displaced and hurting animals, but they are just great people.

I think what makes this organization run so well is that everyone is super pleasant and loves helping these animals. It makes for such a caring and hardworking community

Many of the negative posts on here are appalling! Please remember that there are two sides to every story! Don’t forget when somebody doesn’t get what they want, they can and will exaggerate a situation to look more favorable for them. It happens all too often in rescue.
Veterinary care isn’t cheap, and puppies require more veterinary care than adult dogs. The fee to ADOPT an animal from a rescue is a donation. Donations are necessary to cover food, shelter, medical, training, rehabilitation, enrichment training, and daily operational expenses.
The need for rescues to help animals is at an all-time high. Rescues get zero government funding and rely solely upon donations and their volunteers to keep the wheels turning. Many operate at maximum capacity with little to no help or resources; veterinary bills are piling up, and I could go on and on.
The most challenging part of what we do is not being able to do more or saying no.
RESCUE IS NOT EASY; those on the other end of the phone calls we have received 1000 times or more have heard every excuse, every sh1tty reason to give up on or abandon the family dog! We don’t care if you like our tone on the phone or in person; we don’t care if you walk away without the animal you expected us to give you, we have our reasons and our animals are the number one priority. They have been let down by humans before, and we are not going to be the reason for it again. We are not a shelter or dumping ground; we can’t help everyone even though we would like to. So look at things from a rescue person’s perspective the next time you come here to vent or bash us.

Irresponsible, poor practices and does not have the dogs best interest at heart.

I served as a foster and they failed to do a home check, didn’t neuter or provide shots. I wasn’t aware of the lack of shots when taking on the foster which put my other dogs in serious danger. They told me the dog was perfectly behaved with no issues. This was completely wrong. There were major issues. After a week the dog was creating problems with my other dogs. They wouldn’t take the dog back nor did they care. They just shamed me and told me if I hadn’t offered to foster there would have been several others who could have and that I took that opportunity away.

The stress that this foster dog caused in my home caused my personal senior dog to pass away. Would he have passed anyway? Who knows? However, their unwillingness to take the foster back when I asked could have helped.

I am heartbroken and am stuck with this foster dog that needs more training assistance than I am able to give and yet I have no support from this group and don’t know what to do. I feel bad for all of the other dogs and lives they are negatively affecting.

This group should not be functioning.

I am happy to support the great work this organization does Day in and day out! AH4S helps those in most need! AH4S specifically helps those with medical or behavioral issues. AH4S will do anything necessary to rehabilitate these dogs. They go above and beyond far after the adoption process. AH4S believes in helping families so these animals can remain in their forever home w their family.
