As a volunteer, what amazes me about this organization is how they're turning the idea of 'food as medicine' into hope for millions of stray animals.
Instead of building more shelters or clinics, they're creating something as simple as a cookie that could change animal welfare forever.
It's refreshing to see a charity think so differently about solving such a huge problem.
The fact that they're working on something that could help animals even in places without vets makes me optimistic about the future.
This is exactly the kind of creative thinking we need to help animals worldwide.
Passionate team, committed to a meaningful mission. Wishing them success and giving my full support!
I have been a member for many years and I am impressed with their dedication, hard work and resolve in solving a problem that would be a massive help to animals everywhere.

I have followed the work and activism of Alex Pacheco, Founder,
600 Million Stray Dogs Need You, and believe deeply in their vision and commitment to helping stray animals everywhere. Our nonprofit GAIA and online magazine BeMagazine.org made the decision to underwrite a billboard to share this incredibly important work. Never before has there been such an opportunity to change and save animals' lives in this situation, but through the diligence of their work and research, they will do just that with (once fully developed and completed) Cookies (a pill basically) capable of spaying and neutering a dog or cat – without surgery.
We support this work, which is why we made the decision to sponsor a billboard to share the message and hopefully get other people and organizations to give, volunteer and share the story of how we can all make a difference for stray animals. Thank you Alex and everyone at 600 Million Stray Dogs Need You. Their website at 600Million.Org has the facts, but I'll share a few, because this issue affects us all... "Inhumane killing methods include:
beating to death, poisoning, hanging, electrocution, crushing dogs to death in garbage trucks, feeding dogs food laced with broken glass, causing the dogs to bleed to death . Painful human deaths from rabies and the suffering of stray dogs are directly connected.
The World Health Organization reports:
Globally, over 90% of all people who die from rabies receive the fatal infections from infected stray dogs. Every 15 minutes a child dies from rabies. Every month over 1 million people are treated for rabies. Every year at least 59,000 people, about half of whom are children, die from rabies."
Alex has been given the highest awards and recognition for his work, dedication and success by some of the most notable organizations, which include:

What a great way to make a real difference in the world. So many stray dogs everywhere, too many to adopt so they can be taken care of properly by a loving family. Yet they are still reproducing at an alarming rate. The idea of a one-time birth control biscuit is a fantastic way to be part of the solution. I support 600 Million Dogs 100%. RJ, really appreciate your kind words. Glad to be of some help.
It’s a good thing my idea of fun is crashing on the couch in front of the TV, because that’s all I have energy for after a long day of volunteering for 600 Million Dogs!
But I've always loved animals, and helping them is my life’s ambition. That’s why several years ago, I sought out the most remarkable animal activist I had ever met--600 Million Dogs president Alex Pacheco—and offered to volunteer. (My exact words were, “I’m not a COMPLETE idiot.”)
I’ve never looked back. Becoming a 600 volunteer and donor has been the most unique and rewarding experience of my life.
It’s my privilege to play some small role in this creative and ambitious mission to save stray animals by developing an oral, permanent alternative to spay/neuter surgery. I mean, it’s major surgery. Can’t we do better than this, for the animals’ sake? I think we can. I think 600 can.
Over 40 years ago, 600’s Alex Pacheco took the world by storm with his courageous, selfless, groundbreaking work for animals. I’ll never forget it. He continues to work incredibly hard, despite all obstacles. I hope many others will lend a hand so that 600 can accomplish its mission sooner rather than later.

Darcy, thanks!
I have been donating to this organization for many years. I feel the work they do is extremely important and ground breaking. It is imperative that we decrease the population and suffering of homeless dogs around the world. A non-surgical solution is crucial to accomplish this.
600,000,000 stray dogs need you is the best moving non profit organization that I have come across in my time. Straight up has a proven track record and a positive result I have ever seen. There are no politics involved, no smoke and screens , just very hard work and very good results. We need more organizations like this that produces positive results that makes you know that there is good left here. You know at the end of a day when you are tired and all you hear is bad and ugly news , well all I ask is read about this organization! The rest is up to you. It has change my life and I feel very positive knowing that I had a part in this historic venture. Thank you for all the great work you put in this.
This is a worldwide cause in dire need of everyone's attention. Stray
dogs and cats are @ the mercy of so many who would abuse them . We, as humans need stop talking and begin acting on their behalf. 600 is doing that.
.
Dynamic nonprofit willing to think outside the box blessed with a dedicated staff and volunteers that work around the clock. Go 600!
I'm incredibly proud to be a volunteer and donor for 600 Million Dogs because it's led by one of the most effective animal activists of all time: Alex Pacheco. He has had GLOBAL IMPACT.
I first saw him in action helping animals years ago. He had many chances to choose an easy life. Again and again, he chose to help suffering animals instead. Through courage, tenacity, and selflessness, he succeeded where others never even tried.
Today, he continues to smash the rulebook. He's attacking a decades-old problem—companion animal overpopulation—in a new, creative way: by developing better birth control for stray dogs and cats. It's difficult because scientific work is very expensive, but if anyone can drive this critical project forward, it's Alex Pacheco.
This is just my opinion, but this is why I'm especially enthusiastic about this effort. I think most people hope for maximum lifespan (about 100 years), minimum pain and suffering, ending with a painless death. Dying prematurely is a bad thing. Some people say it has the benefit of reducing the population, but that's just an obsolete rationalization. Nobody wants to be the one who dies young of starvation. There is now a much more humane way of keeping population at sustainable levels: birth control. We just need to use it.
Human overpopulation results in suffering and premature death due to preventable disease, untreated injury, war, and starvation, among other problems. I believe birth control is an incredibly useful tool that could prevent a lot of this misery. Safe, reliable, inexpensive birth control should be available for anyone who wants it.
Unfortunately, human birth control hasn't progressed much since the revolutionary invention of the Pill about 60 years ago. It could be vastly improved, but some people fear that it will work too well. I believe these fears can be addressed by enforcing laws that prevent birth control from being used on people against their will. But if people refuse to improve human birth control, we can still improve animal birth control.
Stray animals die prematurely from many of the same things that people do: preventable disease, untreated injury, mass killings, and starvation. People have far fewer concerns about birth control for animals, so spay/neuter has caught on for dogs and cats, and it has been tremendously helpful in controlling the pet population in the U.S., where people can afford it.
But for strays around the world, surgical spay/neuter isn't making a dent. Catching and surgically spaying and neutering strays is labor-intensive, expensive, and requires the services of veterinarians. Development of a permanent, safe, inexpensive, easy-to-administer birth control product for dogs and cats is desperately needed, and that's what Pacheco is determined to do. It's an honor to be a part of this project.
While the overpopulation of unwanted strays continues to climb, 600MillionDogs continues to strive for the solution. I am heartened by the advancement this organization is accomplishing. My support remains unwavering as I am aware of the focus and dedication Alex and his team pour into this difficult but life saving project.

600 Million Dogs is my number one nonprofit to which I donate monthly. They work
continuously to relieve lifelong suffering that the world's stray dogs and cat endure
24/7. 600 asks member to email, write letters, make phone calls and use
social media to contact those responsible for perpetrating harm to our fellow 4 legged friends.
I cannot imagine a more forward thinking nonprofit than 600 Million Dogs.
I have always, and will always support this organization and their mission. I know they will be the solution to the suffering of SO many animals! They are a dedicated team, and clearly will stop at nothing to keep moving forward. I'm excited to see the final result!
You know, if you never get around to doing a will, all your money will go to your family when you die—not to your friends, not a penny to animal protection groups, and you'd better have talked to a friend about taking in your 15 rescued iguanas. I never thought that paying a fancy estate lawyer to write up my will could make me happy, but it did. Before, I had a do-it-yourself will, but why leave something so important to chance? I wouldn't do that with plumbing or electric work on my house! I don't mean to sound like an ad for expensive lawyers, but now I'm confident that when I die, if I have any money left over, the percentage that I chose will go to my favorite animal groups. Number one on that list is 600 Million Dogs, founded and run by the phenomenal animal activist Alex Pacheco.
I tend to donate to groups that I've volunteered for, because I know and trust the people involved, and I've had the unforgettable experience of volunteering for 600 Million Dogs. Its team consists of intelligent, practical, resourceful people doing their best, day after day, to help animals in an unconventional and creative way, something few would attempt but makes perfect sense: using advances in medicine and technology to help animals. It's uncharted territory, but that is something Pacheco excels at, tenaciously plowing ahead without a road map, despite all obstacles.
This year, 2020, as COVID-19 ravages the human population, what do most people place their hopes on, aside from eating right and getting plenty of exercise? A vaccine and a treatment. We not only HOPE that medical science will end this tragedy, we EXPECT it. We're counting on it. Billions of dollars are being poured into scientific research to help us deal with this terrible disease.
In contrast, although pills, patches and other nonsurgical methods of birth control for humans have been around for decades, funding is really hard to come by when the goal is an inexpensive, nonsurgical, permanent form of birth control that's easy to administer to animals. Stray animals are suffering and dying around the world, and humans aren't even doing this on purpose. The animals are just innocent victims of uncontrolled overpopulation. So I think this is an area ripe for change. I wish I had a billion dollars to donate to 600 Million Dogs TODAY because, sadly, Alex Pacheco won't be around forever to lead the way.
I know people don't like to think about dying. But honestly, if I die tomorrow, I'll die happy knowing my affairs are in order and 600 Million Dogs will get at least some of the funding they need to complete the Spay/Neuter Cookie. It's not enough, but if others do the same, we just might win this battle for the animals.
This organization is the only organization I can see that will have a significant and lasting effect on the global crisis of stray populations spiraling out of control-the effects of which are now being realized. That is one of the main reasons why 600 Million Dogs have my devoted support. Having known Alex Pacheco personally for many years I can attest to his integrity and devotion to his mission. He's like the snapping turtle that won't let go.
I’m a longtime volunteer and donor to 600 Million Dogs, and it’s absolutely my favorite, if-I-ever-win-the-lottery-my-money-is-going-to-you group. Why? Number one: 600’s leader, Alex Pacheco. In my book, he’s the guy who made the animal rights movement go viral. After that, he risked his safety and freedom for animals again and again, and it paid off: he changed the world for the better. If history has any sense, history will remember Alex Pacheco.
Number two: 60 years ago, oral birth control was shocking. People couldn’t believe it worked. Now it’s taken for granted. For animals, permanent birth control is what’s needed, but progress has been slow for economic reasons. True to form, Alex has seen a critical problem and focused on it, regardless of the odds, regardless of the consequences. It’s bad enough that people kill animals intentionally, for selfish reasons, but dogs and cats, supposedly the most beloved animals on earth, being killed in crude, painful ways, often just for getting in people’s way? Or left to suffer, starving, on the streets? We have to do better. How do you tackle such a huge problem without feeling overwhelmed? “Baby steps,” he says. He’s done it before. He has a way of creating order out of chaos--through innovation, determination, and hard work.
It would be easy to share our progress if we were a rescue or advocacy group. But we’re not, and we need to keep some information confidential until a final product is ready. Then we can roll out the cameras. Until then, I hope you’ll understand that we need to raise funds to pay scientists to do this work and that scientific advancement takes time. I hope you’ll have faith in Alex’s integrity so that in the long run, the animals will benefit, not big drug companies. And I hope you’ll remember that money doesn’t grow on trees and fundraising is not a crime. If you have $100 and you need $1,000 to pay the vet to save your dog, you need to raise the money somehow. It’s as simple as that.
I’m working harder for 600 than I ever worked for money, and it’s the experience of a lifetime. I hope you’ll check out what we can disclose about our science at https://www.600milliondogs.org/science-update and read about Alex’s accomplishments at https://www.600milliondogs.org/about-us Thanks!

As an employee of this incredible organization, I can attest to the fact that we are indeed working hard and making progress. As with all science based projects, it takes time but we are all dedicated to our cause, working hard to create a solution that will end the suffering.
In regards to the comment "no fool" made: I am hurt to see these uneducated comments. For instance, you cant "follow" an organization for 15 years that has only been around for 8. Instead of typing away your negativity about a person who has a 40 year track record for helping animals and his organization that is working tirelessly to bring an end of suffering of millions of dogs, perhaps you should do some research. Or better yet, maybe YOU can do something to make a difference.
I believe this is a scam. I have been following them for over 15 years, and they have come up with nothing. They send out news letters that say, "We're close to a formula." "We expect to have our cookie out in 18 months." "We have a formula that will work in just three doses." But then they have absolutely nothing. They do absolutely nothing. Dont be fooled, this is just about collecting donations to line their pockets. They have been making claims for many years and have not saved any animals at all.
600 Million Stray Dogs in right on target in their approach to reducing the over population of our pet culture. I am a supporter of their cause.
I 100% support the developing of a one dose birth control cookie that will END the suffering of millions of dogs. With 40 years of experience in the animal rights movement i have full confidence Alex will find the spay/neuter formula.
The compassion and experience Alex brings to this charity is critical in making breakthrough s in the overpopulation problem . This charity is making huge strides and getting to the core of the issue.
This is important! Developing a one dose birth control cookie to address the horrible crisis of overpopulation is the solution to this worldwide problem.
Truly an ingenious idea that I’m sure will need lots of financial help . If anyone can get this great non profit moving it is Alex Pacheco!
Such amazing and groundbreaking work on behalf of the dog population on our planet. 600 Million Dogs and it’s founder, Alex Pacheco, are working tirelessly on a breakthrough solution to the overpopulation problem.
I fully support the life changing endeavor the 600MillionDogs.org is working on.
Developing a one dose birth control cookie to address the horrible crisis of overpopulation is the solution to this worldwide problem.
Based on Alex’s track record of historical victories for animals, I have full confidence that he will find the breakthrough and develop the compound in the form of a cookie that will END the suffering of millions of animals.
Please support this bold initiative to combat the heartbreaking suffering that so many dogs (and cats) endure.
With 40 years of experience in the animal rights movement, Alex has demonstrated passion and commitment that is unparalleled. I believe that he and his devoted team of scientists will uncover the complicated task of developing a spay/neuter formula that will be life changing.
More shelters are not the solution to the stray dog situation. Permanent birth control is. I believe that Pacheco is on to something big. Global. Lifesaving.
A spay cookie for the suffering stray dogs and cats of the world would be such a wonderful thing. 600 Million Stray Dogs is 100 percent committed to making this dream a reality. It can and will happen because of their relentless work and commitment . Everyone should do what they can to support this cause and make it happen soon!
I have been a supporter of 600 Million Dogs for sometime. I have personally gotten to know and admire Alex Pacheco's passion and mission statement. I have no doubt that his determination and highly skilled team will make this dream a reality.
Pacheco’s track record in getting things done is legendary . Based on his experience and drive I have no doubt that this will come to fruition.
600 is a truly wonderful organisation, the work they do is simply outstanding and they really do deserve everyones support. If we could all donate even if is just a little it really will make such an incredible difference.

i simply cannot overstate the care and devotion of this organization. Please , let's give hope to ending the strife endured by our homeless animals. This is it !
Finally and organization dedicated to helping stray dogs. And they are not only putting a bandaid on the problem, they are finding a solution. Ending the suffering of animals will benefit the greater humanity and this organization is putting us directly on that path. Thank you 600 Million Stray Dogs and keep up the good work!
After several years of following 600 I am a great believer in this organisation. Their tieless work and determination has helped countless stray dogs and I do believe if we support this non profit mission the tragic situation of stray dogs can and will be solved. I am a Spanish resident living in Marbella and it is heartbreaking to see these poor animals suffer. Please let us support 600 and support this important work.
The LA shelters are overpopulated and the street dogs are in an even worse situation. I strongly support 600 Million Stray Dogs and the amazing life changing work they are developing.
Pacheco’s track record in getting things done is legendary . Based on his experience and drive I have no doubt that this will come to fruition.
Bravo ! I strongly believe in what Alex Pacheco is doing here , as an animal lover myself , I think it is a brilliant and clever concept of a birth control solution for stray
Animals .
I have had animals my whole life. I just adopted an adorable and sweet cat in Atlanta. We have to spay and neuter our animals. It's too important. Go Alex!
As an animal-lover, for some time now my philanthropy has been focused on www.600milliondogs.org. This group, the head of which co-founded PETA back in 1980, is putting together a biscuit which once consumed will immediately, permanently, and safely spay/neuter. Dogs and ultimately cats as well. One look at the You Tube videos of horrific animal suffering coming out of Romania and Greece and China and India and the Philippines and even first world countries can only convince that efficient spay/neuter is the ONLY solution to relentless breeding. Mother Nature is just too good at what she does.
Thank you - a solution is at hand!

i am so impressed by 600 Million Dogs and what they are try to accomplish! What an amazing idea to help these well deserving vulnerable animals!!!
600 million is a amazing and helpful idea! We truly need more kind and caring people to help spread the word of 600 million stray dogs, so more people can help!
An organization with a truly brilliant concept on dealing with pet overpopulation. The folks there are terrific and care about animals. I wholeheartedly support 600M dogs and encourage anyone to check out their mission statement and support them in any way you can.
600 Millions founder, Alex Pacheco, has been at the forefront of Big Ideas for decades - the Silver Spring monkey undercover expose, co-founding PETA. Now, with 600 Million Stray Dogs Need You he's there again. It may take time and some may dismiss the idea - but when the day comes that a simple pill can prevent reproduction and cause overpopulation to crash, countless dogs and cats will avoid a life of misery scavenging to survive (and those that profit off of expensive spay-neuter surgeries and others who make a buck "euthanizing" strays (11,000 a DAY in the US alone) will be forced to find a way news ways of making a living rather than off the backs of innocent animals.
I think the concept of creating a sterilization pill for animals instead of doing surgery is ingenious!! Alex Pacheco, the Founder of this group, Sixmilliondogs.org and his wonderful volunteers should be highly commended for their hard work, love, commitment and dedication towards trying to end the over population of animals. This in turn will spare unwanted animals from being born on the streets where they either die of starvation or fall into the wrong hands and get tortuted;((
A huge heartfelt thank you to Alex and the volunteers for being involved in this amazing and EXtremely important mission!!
These guys really care and put 100% into the cause. Its great to support a cause that can make a long term difference not just a short term thing.
600 Million is working to achieve a long term solution to the worlds stray animal problems. Not just a band aid quick fix. They are now my charity of choice as they are so dedicated to finding a solution to this problem that is close to my heart.
"600" is the "CURE" for the overpopulation of dogs & cats in the world. The spay/neuter cookies are a fantastic idea. Everyone at this organization is extremely dedicated to this cause. Alex Pacheco (founder) has dedicated his life to helping animals. I support "600" with all my heart. Please learn about & support this wonderful organization.
I'm a huge fan and supporter of 600, they are the one organization that has the right idea on how to end stray animal suffering and overpopulation.
I support this charity 600 Million Dogs and its founder Alex Pacheco, whose vision and mission to end the global problem of strays and overpopulation, is truly a game changer!
I’m a supporter of 600 for several reasons, one of which is: 600 is taking a new approach to attack an age old problem at its root by reducing reproduction of homeless animals. It’s time to end the torment to these animals.

Alex is a mastermind when it comes to doing the right things for animal rights and treatment. A lot of people have no idea what is going one with the over abundance of dogs and cats that are being abandoned or euthanized. In my town alone over 10000 dogs and cats were put down last year. Just think on how many other towns are in the same boat! What 600 million dogs need yours doing is totally the best thing that is going in our country. Of all the nonprofits I either have work for or donated to. This is the very best of the best. If anyone has feelings for pets will support the cause of suffering animals, this is a 5 star rating with me. Keep up the good work Mr. Pacheco!
600 has the game changing answer to a problem that may never be solved otherwise. The team is beyond dedicated, and I personally can't wait till they are successful. I recommend anyone who cares about companion animals please learn about and then support 600 Million - For the animals !
Smartest problem solving organization I can think of in the world of dog and cat protection. I love the fact that they are working on a permanent solution to this global problem, a problem that is everyone's problem. I've volunteered for many organizations, and sadly, the problems will remain forever unless there is greater concentration on long lasting solutions, such as the sterilization dog/cat food. Brilliant idea.
My mother in law arranged for this charity to directly debit her checking account which they have done for more than a year. When she decided to donate elsewhere multiple calls to the number on the bank statements for this charity and multiple messages left asking to stop the deductions were ignored. This charity is now being reported as a fraudulent charge through the credit card company.
If you donate to these people do not allow them direct charge your account.
Review from Guidestar
Coming from a non-animal lover, I could not be more impressed by this non-profit. They are working extremely hard to help dogs suffer no longer, by developing a formula for a spay food. I donated my car to this amazing cause, because I know what a huge positive impact they are making on the world. Thank you 600 Million Stray Dogs!
This is a great project backed by a hard working and dedicated volunteer staff and I am excited to see the progress on this project as it unfolds. Nothing but up from here
I greatly support 600 in their efforts to develop non-surgical control of the world's animal population. We must stop the killing of innocent animals. 600 is trying to make this happen as a non-profit, not for the money, but for the good of the animals. No other motive but to save the lives of these creatures who cannot save themselves. This is the noblest of causes, and I am enthusiastic about their cause, optimistic about their future and elated that they exist in my lifetime and that I am personally able to donate and help make it happen.
Being a part of this team for the past year has been an incredible experience. I'm so happy a solution is finally being developed that gets right down to the root of the over population problem. Traditional surgical spaying takes so much time, effort and is no where near as accessible in some foreign countries. Once this "spay food" is developed it will be a complete game changer for the entire world, ending the suffering of millions of dogs and cats on a global level. The entire team involved on this project is excited and motivated to make this dream a reality, and the founder, Alex Pacheco, is one of the most admirable and determined people I've ever met. This is such an incredible learning experience and it's very rewarding to know that my efforts are making a HUGE difference for so many animals.
I began volunteering for '600 Million Stray Dogs Need You' Spring of 2014. Since my exposure to the cause and its colorful and wonderful members, my entire perspective has changed for the better. Life is so very precious, and all species - not just us humans - deserve to live out their days in comfort and peace. Founder Alex Pacheco's stance on doing right by animals constructively, and leading by positive example, is inspirational. He 100% Practices what he preaches with integrity and steadfast conviction that intrigues and does not alienate. I treat my volunteer time here very much like I would my own livelihood, for this is a cause very near and dear to all of our hearts; creating an uplifting volunteer experience like no other around. I am grateful for the experience volunteering for '600.'
What I like about 600 organization is their global point of view, there is so many animals that need to be sterilized on the street and without spending so much money for surgeries, so the spay food idea is awesome. It is an excellent way to address such a huge problem, I hope that it becomes a success worldwide.
I am visiting south florida and heard about this organization though a friend. The moment I went to their webside I knew this organization was doing something special. Alex Pachaco founded PETA and I have high hopes that he will come through again for the animals.
I am from a third world country so i know how bad the overpopulation crisis is in other parts of the world. The world NEEDS 600 to succeed and help animals from all ends of the earth.
I donated to an animal welfare organization for the first time today and I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. Spay food is the solution to ending suffering!! Thank you for the wonderful work everyone at 600 does!
The best part of volunteering for 600 Million Dogs is knowing that you are a part of something special. Creating spay food will literally end the worldwide needless killing and suffering of animals. The organization is well run and competent, with a single and truly altruistic mission of doing better for dogs and cats. Volunteers are an integral part of the process and always involved, and the organization is directed by one of the hardest working people that I have ever met, Alex Pacheco. I am very happy and excited to be a part of bettering the future of innocent cats and dogs; they truly deserve it!
The Founder of 600 Million Stray Dogs Need you is the same man who co-founded PETA, and has proven himself as honorable and worthy of entrusting with my donation dollars. His lifelong mission to end animal suffering will reach a milestone unmatched by any animal welfare organization and I want to be able to say I was a part of it by donating to this fantastic cause and leader. JackR
I donate and volunteer to this group because I believe they have THE CURE for pet overpopulation. Founder, Alex Pacheco is a visionary who is fighting the good fight, every single day - relentlessly. This effort deserves far more support that it gets in my opinion. So many others stand to lose surgery fees, drug fees & future revenues when (not if) this effort succeeds, it's no wonder they are NOT supporting non-surgical sterilization. Instead this group seeks the cure, not for profit, but for the animals, to stop the suffering, to stop the needless deaths. No other motive. I hope advocates see this opportunity and help this group progress quickly, because every day is another day of suffering and death for animals worldwide, and the cure for that is so badly needed. The 600 team is beyond tenacious, and the cause is beyond worthy, I applaud them and help them every chance I get.
Millions of dogs suffer terribly because they are unwanted and homeless. They are euthanized in "shelters" and beaten in the streets. All this, because there are just too many of them-there aren't enough loving homes to handle the ever increasing populations, especially in rural locations where there aren't facilities or funds for spay/neuter. THE PROBLEM IS OVERWHELMING UNLESS IT IS STOPPED AT IT'S CORE. I'VE FELT SO HELPLESS FOR SO LONG BECAUSE I CAN'T HELP THEM ALL--600 MILLION IS A WAY TO DO JUST THAT. IT WILL STOP THE SUFFERING BEFORE IT BEGINS--THE ONLY VIABLE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM!
600 Million Stray Dogs is a wonderful organization. Hopefully, thanks to their efforts, many fewer innocent animals will suffer horrible fates. Please support them generously.
I donate my time to 600 Million Dogs whenever I have the opportunity. Developing birth control dog food is a no brainer!
Upon learning about animal overpopulation all over the world, and the methods used to try to control it, I really like the humane solution that 600 Million has come up with. Not only can this be used to control stray colonies, it can also be in the shelters to replace costly sterilization surgery.
Having personally witnessed animal overpopulation issues first hand in many corners of the world there is no question in my mind about how critical a progressive solution like 600 Million is trying to implement really is to the problem. Traditional methods of population control simply don't work. 600 Million is working to prevent a massive amount of suffering and change the world for the better.
I found out about 600 million through my friend who volunteers for them. The more I follow the progress of the 600 mission, the more impressed I am. Solving the problem of the worldwide stray dog, and ultimately hopefully the feral cat population, has to start at the root of the issue which is reproduction. The plan to administer this birthcontrol through food is such a good solution. Creating and administering life long birth control /sterilization for strays will have a tremendous impact on reducing the feral population thereby reducing a huge amount of animal and human suffering. With each generation, the population should gradually decrease. Ongoing monitoring, awareness and education will hopefully essentially eradicate the cruel and ineffective measures currently being used. Alex Pacheco and his team of all volunteers are to be applauded for their vision and dedication to solving such a huge and heartbreaking world problem.
I volunteer for 600 Million Stray Dogs Need You because I firmly believe in it's mission to complete dog food formulas that will sterilize stray dogs. It's about saving the next generation of homeless dogs from suffering and from being killed. The team of volunteers is committed and I am confident in Alex Pacheco's ability to make this happen.
I have travelled around the world a lot and I was and still am very disturbed to see so many dogs and cats homeless. Being often emaciated and in bad health they live miserable lives on the streets. There are so many of them that the problem is out of control. The only answer to reduce their misery is to control their numbers and the only way to do this is to have a non surgical, cheap and safe way to sterilize the dogs and cats. When I found out about 600 I knew I found my calling. I have always wanted to do more for the street dogs after having rescued one myself off the beach in Aruba. This dog is one of 600 million! I am determined to help them out. I now volunteer for 600 and work with some very fine and hardworking animal lovers who are also all volunteers. Many hours are put into this project. The only thing I'm regretting is that the development of the sterilization formula isn't going fast enough. It takes time and money to make it happen. The more we have the faster we can move!
In my experience there are a lot of organizations that claim to be dedicated to improving the lives of animals but are often little more than PR machines designed to collect donations to support their high paid execs and needlessly expensive office space. 600 Million Stray Dogs actually has a workable plan that can end more unneeded suffering by animals than any other organization that I'm aware of. I'm also impressed by the fact that 600 is run by people with a genuine passion for ending the suffering of animals. All of the volunteers that I have met or spoken with have made great sacrifices to help make their plans a reality. If you are making a donation based on the bigger organizations that you may have sen in the news, find out what they are really doing and what they have done to help end the suffering of animals. Sadly, many of them have not done much other than cash your checks.
