I know it's late I'm still awake cold and hungry. I won't make it to shelter tonight so I am using my phone to look for places that might help and found 500 projects of love. Many of the people out here on the street with me have told me that this is an organisation that comes and brings hot food, warm clothes and blankets. Although I have not got to meet anyone from this organisation yet I have been told by many of my Friends out here that they will comeIn a few weeks with hot food and warm clothes hopefully I will be here and be able to receive those gifts. Thank you to everyone who has donated so that we can stay warm when we don't have a place to go and thank you for cooking as a hot meal it is appreciated I want to say thank you upfront To this wonderful organisation that has been helping many of my friends already for a long time. Sometimes it feels when you are on the street no one cares but it seems to me from my friends this organization cares and makes me know that all of you the people who help this organization must be good and caring people and gives me hope to hold on for help.
Thank you for being caring

I have known Racheal's mom for over 50 years. So I have litterly known Racheal her whole life. She has always had a heart that broke for those around her that were disenfranchised in any way. Racheal was 10 when she ssked me for any toys my boys were done playing with because she wanted to give them to kids who did not get anything for Christmas. I remember her mom sharing with me one year they were have a hard time themselves financially and had to tell their children there may not be a Christmas Tree or gifts that year but what they could make for each other. WhT touched my heart and her mother's was Racheals response. Racheal told her mother. "Mom it is ok we all have the best gift mom like you taught us we have the gift of Jesus in our heart and we can share our gift with everyone. " So it does not surprise me when in high school she joined Make a Wish and helped plan and deliver wishes for children, then in college did fund raising for any organization in need. I wanted to share that to say when I heard about her starting her non profit to help the homeless it was no problem but rather my great pleasure to sit on the board to help her svomplish her hearts desire to help those who were in the most need. I have helped collect clothes , coats, hats. gloves. food donations, help cook and serve. RACHEAL INSPIRESme and so many others to be willing to give back to the least of us. The opportunity to help her in this endeavor to touch and love unconditionally on as she likes to say our homeless friends has humbled and blessed me personally but more importantly her efforts have blessed over two hundred homeless a month since she became a non profit . 500 Projects Of Love is a mission to help provide meals hot meals to those in need but more to inspire others to do the same. Racheal does that and continues to keep her heart open to possibilities for change and only sees the best in everyone.

I would like to say my experience of being on the street has been very hard. But meeting the people at 500 projects of love and getting to have a hot meal and people who looked at me with a smile and not like I was invisible was what made me feel good. Thank you to everyone who made food, served food and blessed me last month.

500 Projects of Love is a labor of love. CEO Racheal pours out her heart and soul not to an organization, but to the people that this organization has had the opportunity to serve. Racheal lights up with joy when she shares about the people that she has had the privilege to meet through this program. She isn't referring to other CEOs when she bubbles over with enthusiasm, she is talking about the homeless people that she has encountered through giving. Long before this nonprofit organization was birthed, Racheal was expending all of her resources in giving to this community in great need; however, converting her efforts into a nonprofit has extended her reach considerably, allowing more people to join the effort as well. If you are able to donate to this organization, your gift will go a long way toward helping to feed, clothe, provide other needs, and bless the homeless population with love and care. If you are able to lend a helping hand, not only will you bless others, but you will find yourself immeasurably blessed in return.

I have always had a heart myself for homeless Friends. When I moved to Las Vegas several years ago I did not know they had such a large community of homeless who were hungry, poor, and appeared to have no hope. Recently I googled and found 500 Projects of Love and Racheal. She inspired me and I thought one act of kindness like making sandwiches or cooking meals IS A WAY anyone could help so I started helping. Seeing the difference in myself in my heart for those just so grateful to get a hot meal made me feel good and be more appreciative of giving and making a difference.
Thank you 500 Projects of Love And Racheal Rickman founder for this opportunity to give back.

I've been a volunteer with 500 Projects of Love for a year and a half now. I've helped with prepping meals, hygiene kits and handing out the meals to the homeless.
I've also helped pick up donations with my truck and drive
to events. I love seeing their faces light up when we hand them food or clothes, hygiene kits.
They are so thankful. I'm proud to be associated with 500 pPojects of Love.

I live in California and I have been helping this charity by sharing the wonderful heart that Rachel has for her homeless friends as she calls them.. I have told her story of how her father was homeless and how his life inspired her to see the homeless as people with stories of their own that but for the Grace of God could be any of us. I have shared the story with everyone at work who have also been inspired to go home and clean out their closets to support the efforts of 500 projects of love.. This nonprofit has inspired me I don't just walk by homeless people anymore I actually stop in give them food or hand them a dollar to go get a drink ask them how their doing. There not invisible to me anymore because of the work that I've done to help Rachel get this nonprofit off the ground. I have learned so much watching her just love on these people but more than love on them, she sees them, she values them, she validates their life struggles be sharing her own struggles which gives them hope.
Thank you Racheal and 500 Projects of Love.

I am writing to share what a wonderful organization 500 Projects of Love is and the impact they have had for the homeless community in Las Vegas in just the last few months. I have had the pleasure of helping support the efforts to feed, clothe and purchase hygiene supplies for over 500 people on the streets in need. This organization works tirelessly to pick up donations , drop off to those in need, prepare meals for the homeless and go to where homeless communities are to give out food and hope in the most non-judgmental ways in person.
They never refuse to help. If they do not have what is needed they will seek the donation and then deliver the items needed. I had the pleasure of watching Racheal the CEO of this nonprofit hand food out and just smile and ask how a person’s day was. Just that thoughtful smile given got a smile back. At last year’s Gobble Gobble event 500 Projects of Love not yet even a nonprofit collected and brought 500 pounds of clothes, 150 pounds of food to prepare for the thanksgiving meal, and worked the event with many other organizations all day to make the event a wonderful day for the homeless. They did not stop there at Christmas Racheal CEO of 500 Projects of Love collected and gave away donations she had been collecting for months to help in over 10 different community events: blankets, jackets , warm clothes to get through the winter, can goods, complete meals to families in need collected prepared and delivered to those families in need.
I need to tell you a story Racheal does not drive. She Ubers or Lifts paying out of pocket to go to help those who are hungry , thirsty or in need. Her friends have said of her when she was a child she had a heart to help. A friend told me once as a child she would make her mom pull over and buy food for people she saw standing on the street with signs saying work for food. Racheal told her mom people should not have to stand on corners to get food. On more than one occasion she asked her mom to pull in to buy food for the person she saw and she would run to the person to give them food and tell them God loves you. In high school, in college she volunteered to help run food drives, clothing drives, collected toys for give a ways to organizations like Toy’s for Tot’s and the fire department so children who otherwise would not have a holiday had one.
If I pick her up to help take her anywhere she needs to go she never passes a homeless person. She always will say stop I need buy food for that person. One time she saw a homeless man outside a restaurant and invited him in to eat with her and her family and had him order whatever he wanted. Another time she saw a man sitting under a statue of Marilyn Monroe in Palm Springs he looked hungry so I had to park and she went to buy him a pizza. When she came out he was gone so she looked for someone else who needed food. She found two men and gave them the pizza to share along with drinks and bread rolls.
Several years ago while living in an apartment in Las Vegas she took in donations of shoes that filled her entire dining area 50 black trash bags of shoes to give to an organization that passed out shoes to the homeless. She has gained donations for other organizations to help young mother’s in need of baby supplies. She has went to thrift stores to buy items for the homeless out of her own pocket when she did not get enough people to donate the items she needed or purchased new if she had to. This is an organization I support. 500 Projects of Love Racheal Rickman CEO because her heart is true, honest, kind and giving.

My sister is an amazing women, she is filled with love. She gives to those in need even when she does not have all that she needs for herself. She has been helping the homeless and those in needs for several years. She recently turned her organization 500 Projects of Love into a nonprofit organization that gives back to the homeless community in Las Vegas NV. She is a a giant in my eyes!
