Mission: IN OUR BACKYARD links arms across Oregon and America to fight human trafficking through education, mobilization, and partnership.
Programs: Our goal is to raise awareness and bring light to human trafficking across America. We are dedicated to educating people about what it is and how to recognize it. We offer several different programs. Our Freedom Stickers are free to anybody who wishes to order them. Our goal is that every public restroom in America would have a Freedom Sticker in it. Last year, we sent over 50,000 Freedom Stickers around the country. In 2015, HB 3143 was passed mandating that Freedom Stickers go out with every renewal of a liquor license in the state of Oregon. SB 375 was passed in 2017 mandating that Freedom Stickers be placed inside of the restroom stall of all the rest areas in Oregon. Our Convenience Stores Against Trafficking (C-SAT) program provides free training to employees as well as materials to post in their stores.Teens Against Trafficking (TAT) is centered around empowering students with the knowledge about human trafficking to protect themselves and their peers. For the last thirteen years, IOB has teamed up with community members and local law enforcement agencies to eradicate sex trafficking surrounding the Super Bowl. IOB also prides itself on our no cost training and survivor advocacy.
