This nonprofit gets a five star recommendation from me!! Although I have not adopted any animals from them, I have many friends who have. Their stories of their pet adoptions always show expertise and compassion! I am not a regular monthly donor but I do give from time to time, especially for Colorado Gives Day. I receive all their updates and newsletters by email - the work they do is amazing!! I was surprised and extremely blessed to receive a personal phone call extending their thanks after special online giving days! I am especially impressed with their relationships with rescues in other states, stepping up to help in often very dire circumstances.
I chose 4 Paws 4 Life as my designated charity through King Soopers and through Amazon Smile until they recently ended that opportunity. My final rationale for the greatness of this rescue is their affiliation with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
When the time comes for me to adopt a furry family member it will be with 4 Paws 4 Life!
Sincerely,
Lisa Grell
My dog Franklin is the best dog ever!! He is so happy and loves both me and my daughter so much! I could not ask for a better dog
I have been an active donor to 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue and firmly believe their mission and execution to be exemplary. They provide a comprehensive solution to kill shelters and work diligently to save helpless animals. I am frequently acknowledged by a member of their staff for my support, and this indicates their commitment, professionalism and dedication to serving their mission. I am proud of their work and am thankful I can offer needed support.
We adopted our dog from 4P4L. They were absolutely great throughout the whole process! I would highly recommend them to anyone out there looking to rescue a pet!
I got Aries in February, and couldn’t ask for a better dog. I have challenges for training, but has nothing to do with 4paws4life. It was a fast process to get Aries, and the Foster parent was flexible enough to meet me in Downtown Denver, even though she lives in Parker.
Adopted my dog from 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue. They are doing good work in caring for and protecting animals. Thanks. Keep it up!
They do great work rescuing dogs and placing them in loving homes! We got our dog from there and she is the best! They also paid for her heartworm treatment.
I volunteered for a Valentines date with one of your babies and had a great day! My friend and I brought my rescue to meet this little guy he was so happy to be out and about My guy BOSLEY Loved him❤️ We took him to Petsmart got a couple of toys went for a nice walk and brought him home to my place.. The 2 played so hard he never tired out!! My boy out weighs him by at least 40 pounds but that did not slow them down When it was time to take him back we were sad but I knew he was going to find a 4-ever family his personality and his love 4-life was a GEM!! Your staff is amazing and they care deeply for all of these beautiful animals! I Enjoyed and will 4-ever cherish that Special day! Thank you to all of you❤️❤️
4Paws 4life is a wonderful organization who has saved and cared for numerous animals. I have not personally adopted a pet from them, but know the care they give to stray and injured animals
These folks REALLY care about animals and work hard to give them a safe, healthy, and caring environment until they are adopted!
Just the most wonderful people helping animals as much as they can! I hope that everyone who is looking for a new best friend looks here as they truly save lives everyday!!
We adopted our first dog from 4p4l. He’d been rescued from a shelter just hours before he was to be euthanized. 4p4l placed him in a foster home that could give him the care he needed until he could be adopted. He got his vaccinations and was neutered. Our forever dog is the love of our family!
4P4L is by far the most organized and well-run rescue I have ever worked with! The level of professionalism is truly unmatched. I have referred others to 4P4L and will continue to do so.
I worked with 4P4L to get my wonderful dog after I lost a puppy in a tragic accident. The team at 4P4L was incredible and kind, but most of all just professional. They do all their homework to ensure adopters are a good fit for the pup and they also had incredible follow-up. Adding a photo of the best girl for good vibes :)
I got my sweet puppy from 4P4L. They rescued Honey and her puppies from a high kill shelter in Texas. I am so glad to have her in my life.
Adopted the newest member of the family, Rex and he has been a great addition. My 3yr old fell in love with him instantly and he with all of us. The biggest clinger we've ever had, this sweetheart follows us everywhere. So glad we finally decided to get another dog after we lost our senior a year prior. This rescue was quick to respond and kept us updated every step of the way. Will gladly adopt from them again in the future.
We were fortunate to adopt Minnie from 4P4L and she’s been such a sweetheart. The process was easy (even during the pandemic) and everyone was pleasant and helpful. We’d not hesitate to adopt again through them in the future!
Arguably the worst situation nationwide in 30 years for homeless animals, the 4P4L Team is an integral part of the solution. Helping to save innocent lives, this Team goes above and beyond to save a homeless pet one success story at a time.
We adopted Honey in May 13th 2022. She was heartworms positive but part of the adoption process was that her treatment was fully paid for. The treatment was tough on her but we got her through it and I am happy to report that she is now negative and on the monthly tablet protocol. So grateful for the financial assistance. The whole adoption process was very positive. And from admin to volunteers, everyone was helpful, kind and encouraging. We just love our Honeybun and she is such a happy settled and friendly girl. We think you all do an amazing job and love your organization. The photo below is of Honey and Manny. Also adopted through you by our son and daughter-in-law
We adopted one of our dogs from 4p4l and were very happy with the whole process. It means a lot to us to support a non profit animal shelter. The staff is great and we are happy to continue our support by making a monthly donation to help out.
We adopted a dog from 4P4L several years ago and he is our best friend. We are so appreciative and thankful for this organization
We board both our dogs here and we’ve had a wonderful experience. The staff is so caring and loving with our dogs and we don’t worry when we board them here knowing they are in great hands. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Your dog will love it here.
4 Paws 4 Life Rescue really care about their animals and works hard to find them the best owners to be sure they are going to a good home. Good people.
4P4L united LoLo (Ginger) and I a few years ago and it was such a smooth supported experience. And i love this dog more than anything on this planet! I am forever grateful to this rescue and have sent anybody i know their way!
When we adopted Gus and it was a great experience. The 4P4L Rescue staff took us through what we were looking for, what we expected and what we wanted and made the perfect match. Gus has been everything that we wanted and more. We can't wait for more years together and to create so many memories!
I adopted a puppy from 4p4l 9 years ago and would do it again and again. They were so loving and kind to their animals, I believe in these non profit rescue organizations and wish more people would contribute to provide the funds necessary to help these poor animals. My pup was spayed, had all of the first shots, given medication for kennel cough which is common in these cases as well as gave me medication to take home. My pup Lyla is a happy loving 9 year old dog who was given a chance to share her life with us. Thank goodness for great people like 4p4l!
Thank goodness for paws. The provide great services for the animals and their friends. I've gotten vaccinations there and am greatful
We have adapted two amazing pups from 4P4L and we love them dearly. Our experience with the rescue both times has been phenomenal and we highly recommend them. They are doing great work.
I adopted my beautiful dog from 4 Paws years ago and it was such a great experience. The people who fostered her before I adopted her took the time to train her and keep her happy. The organization advised us of a local vet to visit and the vet was wonderful as well. Riley had a couple of health problems but 4 Paws helped out and took great care of her. I would adopt from them again!!
The limited experience I have had with 4P4L made me really appreciate the organization so much that I have become a regular donor. My fondness for the organization comes from how sensitive they are to the needs of the community they serve. Can’t have enough organizations that take care of our four footers.
We rescued our sweet Taylor from 4P4L and we couldn’t be happier. It was our first time adopting and they made the process so easy. They were responsive, friendly and understanding. We are so thankful for everything 4P4L is doing!
My life was furever changed when I adopted my dog through 4p4l. I have the most incredible animal and i have 4p4l to thank for that. They were so amazing to work with, incredibly sensitive and accommodating in helping to match me with Appa. When I brought him home, he had parvo and had to go to the ER and 4p4l paid for all his medical expenses. I owe my life to 4p4l for making it possible to connect with my soul mate.
We got our happy little camper from 4 Paws 4 Life a few weeks after our 16-year-old cat passed away. The adoption process was thorough but straightforward and we could not be happier with our experience and new friend!
I have 3 dogs from 4paws. A 4 year old English bulldog, 3 year old chihuahua wiener mix and a 3 paw cockapoo. They are the love of my life. I have volunteered there to walk dogs, clean kennels, just to be around the dogs. Tina is amazing these people work so hard, love so hard.
I began fostering with 4Paws a few years ago after observing my daughters experience with them. My first foster, Poppy was a mill dog. It was hard to watch her work through her anxieties the first few weeks. More importantly was the delight and gratification that I experienced watching her slowly learn to trust and (with the help of my other dogs) she eventually discovered that the whole world was a great place for dogs! The best things about 4 Paws is that, as a foster, there is no doubt that you are handing your precious baby over to a well-vetted adoptee.
I then fostered two puppies (litter mates). How much fun! The work was hard and so very rewarding. I know that I handed over two well trained and socialized pups to the best adopters for them.
Personal circumstances forced me to reconsider my ability to continue to foster. HOWEVER…I decided to adopt when I fell in love with Joanie, a ten year old Yorkie mix mill dog. I received her from a foster couple that clearly loved her and advised me that they would take her back if for any reason she did not work out. Sweet Joanie is now an irreplaceable part of my family and she has earned the respect of my own dogs who have embraced her as a part of “the pack”
There is no other rescue group that I would consider supporting. I know that they have the heart and the courage of their convictions to help as many animals that they possibly can
I've been a fan of 4Paws4Life for years. I adopted my rescue Henry in May 2019 in the height of the pandemic. This little guy has made me so happy ever since and my adoption experience was smooth even such in turbulent times. The organization takes animals from high kill shelters and rescues other animals from terrible circumstances, takes wonderful care of them until they can find their forever home. I have helped financially as much as I can and if they weren't so far away I would definitely volunteer there as well. I can't say enough good things and I'm grateful for the positive experience I had. If I am ever looking for another dog, they will be the first place I go. 3 cheers for 4 paws!

I adopted Henry (then Maury) 2 1/2 years ago. He is the sweetest dog I’ve ever known! I am so lucky to have found a perfect fit. He was housetrained and clearly knew some humans before he went out on the streets of Houston. He loves walks, naps, snuggling, treats. He was quite timid and afraid at first but he is a new dog now and I am the luckiest human. 4 Paws 4 life Rescue is awesome. This was in the height of the pandemic and still the adoption went smoothly. They are the best!
We’ve adopted two dogs from 4Paws4Life. The first was 9 years ago, Finnegan, and the second, Cooper, was a year ago. They make sure that all of the dogs are healthy before they go to their permanent homes and are always there for any questions afterward. I also know that if someone adopts a dog and it doesn’t work out, they will always take that dog back. Even years after it was adopted. They do not want to see any of these guys go back into the system. They’re a great animal rescue and we highly recommend them regularly.

Over the last nine years I have volunteered, fostered and we just adopted our second dog 8 years after the first. I have seen this rescue grow from a start-up with growing pains and a little unorganized to a well-oiled machine. They have single-handedly saved thousands of animals (mostly dogs) from euthanasia and have given them a second chance to have an amazing life. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing this rescue is, along with all of its dedicated employees, fosters, volunteers, benefactors and adopters.
When I finally convinced my new wife (10 years ago now) that to complete our family we NEEDED a dog, her first, she was nervous, scared and anxious. But through the tireless volunteers who foster these wonderful creatures and the efforts of 4P4L in facilitating the transport and recuse of countless pups from TX to CO she found her best friend, our 8 year old gal Nani, a beautiful black mouth cur/ridgeback/hound mix who we adore and who now has a new 14 month old puppy sister to boot. We are forever grateful to 4P4L.
Sincerely,
Matt, Angela and Nani
I adopted from 4paws4life in November 2021. They worked to transport and accept several dogs from a high kill shelter several states away. They videotaped the dogs to increase their chance for adoption. They posted videos on Youtube, where i found my match. Because of 4paws I have my beautiful 15 pound Chloé, and I adore her. She came to me healthy and safely housed at the 4paws facility.
4P4L were easy to work with and responsive to my questions. Plus it came with some bonus perks like the discounted online training. The adoption process felt a little quick in terms of deciding on the dog right away once we came to see him. But it all turned out great and we love our little guy.
We adopted a dog from 4 Paws 4 Life in July of 2022. They were great to work with from start to finish and we strongly support their mission to rescue animals. We would definitely adopt through them again.
We adopted two 6 year old brothers from 4 paws. They were amazing to the boys. We continue to also use their boarding services since we have confidence in their love for each pup in their care.
This rescue is doing such important work! Our baby girl Gemini (formerly known as Itty Bit) agrees. :) We adopted her from 4P4L at 8 weeks old. She's now almost a year and a half old and is absolutely thriving.
We got our wonderful pup from this rescue and they were great. They were very responsive and walked us through the whole process. The pickup was delayed by 2 weeks because he had Giardia and they were treating him (it’s very common for puppies). When we took him to the vet he still had Giardia and we had to pay for treatment. We contacted the rescue and they split the vet bill with us. They sent us the money immediately and I really appreciated their promptness and kindness in the matter! They also followed up a few weeks later just to make sure he was feeling ok.
The people at this rescue obviously care about the dogs and their new parents and it shows. When we rescue again it will definitely be from 4p4l!
I think the work you guys do is the best thing to help save animals that are hurt, and or abused. That animal never forgets the people that rescued them and adopt them.
It makes me feel really good to donate to this organization because I really believe in the work that they do organizations like this are angels from God
I’ve had a great experience at this nonprofit. Bailey especially has made me feel a part of the 4P4L family and not just a number. It is very clean and the employees all love the animals in their care.
Have been supporting this worthy organization for years. They do so much for the welfare of animals in our local area and should be recognized accordingly as a non-profit organization.
I adopted my "COVID kitty" in 2020 and 4 Paws 4 Life were wonderful throughout the entire process. They checked in on us post adoption, answered all of my questions from start to finish and took one of the most stellar adoption photos on adoption day! I love seeing all the adoptions on social media and have such respect for this organization continuing to give all these fur babies, young and old, wonderful foster and adoptive homes.
After adopting a the most amazing pup from 4P4L in 2020 and fostering several dogs since then, I can confidently say that this is an unbelievable organization. Their staff works tirelessly, sometimes traveling hundreds of miles to rescue dogs in need. They are extremely responsive and care deeply about the animals that they work with as well as their new/prospective families. Additionally, the community of people who have adopted from 4p4l is incredible. I've witnessed many conversations supporting new adopters, recommending training methods, and answering questions. I highly recommend adopting, volunteering, and donating to 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue!
I never leave reviews but I know for adoption places it’s hard to tell a good place, especially if there aren’t reviews. That’s what I struggled with finding a good organization, since a lot of places were by appointment only because of the Covid times haha. So here’s mine; I’m so thankful for this organization, the adoption process was super easy and very fast! They were very communicative and friendly. They were also willing to work with me so that I’d be able to meet him but after meeting him I knew I had to have him. I’m so happy I was able to get this cute little boy to enrich my life as well as his! I hope this review helps someone find their fur pal for life :) I eventually want to get a dog in the future and I’d definitely come back to 4P4L.
4 Paws is an amazing rescue to work with! Monty came from a kill shelter in New Mexico. I’m so glad 4 Paws gives older dogs like him a chance at a new life. He is my bestie, and is having a great retirement!
We call Watson our Corona pup and he completed our family! I’ll never regret giving our Sherlock a buddy. They’re inseparable. Thank you for working so hard to provide loving homes for these pups and kitties♥️
I found Eddie at 4 Paws 4 Life and he has been a fantastic addition to our family! I am so thankful for this rescue’s work and heart in saving animals. The adoption process was really smooth and Eddie was well cared for while he was being rescued. I highly recommend 4 Paws 4 Life.
I adopted Tuck as an adult rescue at a Valentine’s Day adoption event in 2020, and I could be happier! I appreciated the ability to get “pre-approved” for the adoption prior to the event and the process overall was smooth. I love that there is an adopters Facebook group to share updates and photos.
I have volunteered, fostered, and adopted with 4P4L many times in the past 4 years. They are an amazing organization that truly prioritizes the well-being and success of the animals. I will always adopt from 4 Paws 4 Life and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to give an animal a second chance at life!
I, my family and friends have adopted eight 4 paws pups. With friends, probably lots more. Not all perfect dogs but rescue dogs at their finest! Some need extra care. The rescue has resources to help. I foster and volunteer too. This is probably my 9th year. I love my fur babies and they make me smile every day. Thank you 4 Paws!
The adoption process was clear, straight forward and quick.
Our fur baby was delivered well groomed and good health. The foster mom put together a great and spot on bio. She also shared info on the food she fed him, Audie Doggie, fka Kielbasa, during his time with her.
It took less than a week from application to delivery.
This is a High Quality Organization!

Thank you!
We got our dog from them in November of 2021, she had a lot of health and behavioral issues to overcome but we couldn’t be happier.

Thank you!!
We adopted 3 pups from 4p4l, one in 2015, one in 2017, and one in 2021. The people that are part of this organization are the most caring people from the director to the foster coordinators, to the fosters, to the volunteers to the shelter manager.
I have been fostering for this organization for 2 .5 years and see the other side of rescue. It takes a village to rescue animals and everyone comes together to do just that. Any concern that I have had as an adopter and foster has always been addressed and taken care of.
Our most recent adoption was a foster fail. We knew he had a bad leg and we knew he needed a second surgery on that leg. 4p4l took care of it and followed up to see how he was. And as the adopter, we did our due diligence by getting him physical therapy as well.
I am one loyal adopter and foster of 4p4l.

We recently had a horrible experience with this agency. We fell in love with a puppy and brought him home. After 2 days of having him home, he showed symptoms of Pavrovirus. The vets we took him to said treatment would be between $3,000 and $4,000. One animal hospital said we could treat him at home for much less. After two days of treatment, his symptoms got worse. We had to make the terrible decision to return the puppy. Our children´s hearts are broken. Per the agency´s policy, we are not allowed to adopt another puppy from them.
After a week of not having him, our hearts are still broken. Today we saw him on their website with the initial adoption fee and we have no "backstory" on this puppy. The agency knows the puppy´s story and know that he is sick, but is selling him "as is".

We understand your adoption experience was disappointing and are saddened by your review as we continued to work with you. We explained at pick up while he was up to date on his vaccines, the puppy was not fully vaccinated and we tried to take precautions to help prevent exposure to diseases. As soon as it was decided to adopt, the puppy was placed on the ground despite being advised not to. Your child attempted to remind your husband that that shouldn't be done, but was told 'it's your dog now'. We were contacted about the dog being ill 5 days post adoption. When you decided to surrender your adopted puppy back into our care for treatment, we got you scheduled to bring him in the same day and were able to get him hospitalized and he has been able to make a full recovery. While his bio had not been updated the day he was relisted, it has since been updated disclosing he is a parvo survivor. His adoption fee has remained the same as now more than ever it would help offset just a...
I had a friend who quite a few years ago adopted a little boy from 4Paws4Life and he is just the best. So when another friend put out that 4Paws needed help in fostering 60 plus dogs I just decided to adopt a little girl, Zen aka Zena, and she is the most precious little girl. I actually was going to adopt an older girl, Addy, however the shelter 4Paws4Life was using was new with them and did not know that once a pup is put on the 4Paws site they should not adopt out on their own. Unfortunately that was the case, however 4Paws stepped up and got me Zena a bit younger however I could not have asked for a more perfect girl. I would definitely work with 4Paws again. I have told a few others looking to adopt to seek them out also.

4 Paws 4 Life Rescue lovingly nourishes less fortunate dogs abandoned, abused and forgotten. Case in point, my pup, Emmie (Celeste) would not be in a loving home if it were not for the caring fosters that took care of Emmies pregnant, abandoned mom, Catalina.
I was fortunate enough to adopt Emmie, meet the foster mother and Emmie's mama at the adoption fair at Petco. A life changing day for me. Emmie will be 1 year old on September 27. She is a joy, thanks to the nurturing given to her mom by 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue during her pregnancy and post care. 4 Paws for Life Rescue gives from the heart, and the fosters only want the best homes, and care for their fosters.
Here is a picture of Emmie, at 8 weeks and today. As you can see, she has thrived and is very much loved.

I had a wonderful experience at with 4 paws for life.. I came across an ad for ‘Evan’ he had been hit a car and lost his rear leg, he was super cute looking and I thought why not;)
He was a little bit snippy with other dogs but I made a commitment to him and his recent caregivers who were amazing Susie Johnston,Stacy la motta and lots more, who we still keep in contact with , anyway we forged ahead..5 years later...everyone who meets Evan wants him as he is the sweetest, snuggliest, happiest dog out there..
I urge anyone who wants to adopt use this rescue .

We are blessed with our precious Babe through the efforts and care of this wonderful organization. In our case, they worked with an organization in Houston, Tx to give needed surgery to our Babe after she was picked on the streets by the local Houston shelter with a broken hip and leg. This type of surgery is costly and thankfully 4 Paws and the Houston rescue group worked together to help her recover! We fell in love with her and reached out for adoption. The process was easy, but thorough. This is a ‘Class A’ organization working countlessly to save animals in the Denver area and partnering with organizations in other states to bring pet adoptions to Colorado when needed.

I adopted paisley, a great Dane, from 4P4L three years ago. She was a recuse from a backyard puppy mill. She had a sore on her tail that wouldn't heal...her tail had to be amputated. She couldn't be adopted until her tail healed. She was fostered while she healed, well taken care of & loved. They were upfront about her fear of kennels & severe separation anxiety. She is confident & very loving. Would recommend 4P4L

Thank you!
The amount of volunteer time these people use to save and neuter or spay is precious to our world.

4p4l 09/15/2022
Thank you!!
Awesome rescue!!! The volunteers are patient and try to answer all of your questions. They are honest about what they know and dont know about the animals. I love that they work with all dogs (puppies to seniors. Healthy to need some extra TLC). I have adopted 3 dogs from them and do not regret a thing.

I adopted a sweet girl from 4p4l three years ago. She was being fostered & was well cared for and loved. They are devoted to finding the right home for the animals they are caring for. I highly recommend adopting from them.

I cannot thank 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue enough for giving my dog Gracie a fresh start!
She came to me as a puppy through this rescue and I am forever grateful. I have nothing, but nice things to say about them. They are wonderful to work with and they really care about the dogs who are in need.

4p4l 09/15/2022

This group helped me rescue my dog Poppy in May and they were extraordinary! They really helped ensure we got a good fit, and she has been the light of my life since!

Thank you!!
We adopted our dog Cookie from 4 Paws 4 Life and love her dearly. She had issues with her hind legs, we were able to work with 4 Paws 4 Life, she had double knee surgery, and now is doing phenomenal. This organization truly cares about saving lives and bringing joy as they find there forever homes!!

This animal rescue was created in 2012 with a mission to rescue shelter animals in danger of euthanasia. We have rescued over 10k animals since then and rehomed them. We now have a shelter in Sedalia, Colorado where we continue our mission. We always need more volunteers and foster homes!
We make sure that every animal in our care gets the necessary veterinary care that it needs including heartworm treatment and orthopedic surgeries.
