This organization is great non-profit that has compassion with families within the Communties they serve. When I first heard of this organization I was attempting to assist a couple of families that was in need of assistance due to trageric deaths. When I met with the Executive Director (Michele Lara) and her 2 person staff I was shocked and amazed of the services they provided from beginning to end. I have also witnesse first hand the Bereavement services they provide after the families have loss love one and they are still dealing with the hardship of the continuous bereavement process. I immediately want to find out more abouy them and get involve.
I come from Corporate & Community background, we provide grants and funding to certain non-profit individuals based on the mission and vision statement that fit within the guidelines of our giving criteria. As I look back at the funds that we have provided I was really amazed that this organization did not have a group of funders that could assist them. I met with Ms. Lara(Executive Director) I wanted know how I can become an active Board Member. When hear the stories, reviews and spoke with families I was amazed and proud to know that this orgainzation exist. I lost my entire family back in Florida and was fortunate that we had insurance policy to make the process a little less stressful. However, it is still tough as time passes, but I keep strength and peace knowing they are in a better place.
Funding is very much needed in order for them to expand and be able to assist more families in Low-Income Communities. I am very commited to assisting them anyway possible.
