Causes: Arts & Culture, Theater
Mission: 24th street theatre's mission is to engage, educate and provoke its diverse community with excellent theatre and arts education.
Programs: The theatre reached 6,700 elementary school children with field trip performances at the theatre and over 500 in-school theatre workshops. Additionally, 300 teachers from 52 school districts participated in professional development workshops at the theatre. The organization provided a free after school theatre enrichment program for 75 neighborhood school children and a teen mentoring program for another 25 high school students.
the organization presented a professional theatre production which starred emmy award-winning actor bradley whitford and reached over 2,000 people.
