2000 Strong Youth For Christ

I've been a camper since the very first year which was back in the summer of 2007. And I have gone to this wonderful life-changing camp every year except summer 2011. The short time that we have together ( 5 days to be exact) is too short. I know that no one really wants to leave this place after Sundays afternoon. The relationships that I've build with everyone will last me a lifetime and more. I genuinely love everyone at camp. These lovely people are my family away from my family. All the staff and board of directors work so hard every year to make sure this amazing camp happen. Throughout the week I feel like I get so much closer to God and Jesus Christ. Learning the truth about the Book of Mormon is so amazing. My relationship with God has been so much closer than I could ever imagine and hope for. And for that I have to thank 2000 Strong. As I'm thinking right now what else to type about I'm lost for words. There is really nothing else I could add to this camp. Hopefully I will never ever miss this camp for any reason. And oh! I've also learn that our number 1 priority in this life is to have Eternal LIfe. Lol. -----Levi

My granddaughter attended camp in 2009 and was blown away by it. Time constraints prevented her going in 2010 but she hopes to attend this year. She came to camp a stranger and left with new friendships, knowledge of Christ and full of joy. The learning programs and the play times are a perfect balance.

The councilors are just the best there is. You know just by talking to them that they are filled with the Spirit. But not just that, they are able to bring it to the campers in a way that leads them to have that same Spirit for themselves.

I am so thankful for this organization. Both of my children are involved. one as a camper and one as a camper turned into councelor. This is a group that found a need for our youth and filled it. The fact that the camps have grown every year has been a strong testament that there was a need for this. I hope they continue to grow and prosper in the future.

I have been w/ 2000 Strong since it's inception. The loving spirit that resides w/ both campers and staff is awesome! These kids are our future and I know that this camp feeds them in a way that nurtures their hearts. We have kids from all walks of life that find a way to open up and share which allows others to grow. I believe that we've gotten better each year and that we won't stop trying to make it a better camping experiece for all involved!

I have been involved with 2000 Strong since the very first camp. I have seen the incredible vision of a few come to enrich the lives of many through the Word of Jesus Christ! The founders of this wonderful organization have worked against formidable odds and, through the Grace of God and their dedication, have overcome these odds. They work tirelessly year round to raise the funds so that 2000 Strong can continue to grow and have the resources it needs to fulfill its mission of teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to our youth. No where else can our youth get such an experience as they do at this wonderful camp! I see my daughter's faith continue to grow, her knowledge to be enriched and her love of Jesus Christ expanding. She would not miss 2000 Strong Camp over any other event in her young life. I appreciate and love all those that make this camp a reality for our youth (and us adults benefit as well!)

I have been involved with 2000 Strong for several years. The all volunteer staff show their love for Christ and for the campers in their interactions with all present. I'm thankful that my children have a camp like this to attend. The fellowship with campers from many different areas and backgrounds is a valuable experience.

I have attended some camps and other activities with this organization. Their goal is to witness of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom to youth of all denominations. They demonstrate His love and acceptance while teaching of Him and His doctrine.

2000 Strong is an awesome experience for young, old, rich and poor. It provides a community of people to help with any issue for everyone through God. 2000 Strong teaches the Book of Mormon without forcing any beliefs on anyone and is made up of a community of volunteers and campers of all religions and all backgrounds with one goal in mind: Spreading the word of God through the teachings of the Book of Moron! This organization provides a safe, loving environment mixed with a lot of fun activities. The most important part of this Organization is that while the camp only lasts a couple of days a year, the support and education continues on for life. 2000 strong provides a worry free, non judgmental environment! Every year I am more amazed that so many types of people can come together and be so connected. Simply Amazing!

2000 strong has been a way of connecting youth from all over DFW for several years. the camps every summer have been a huge hit with kids & adults both. everyone always comes away feeling a lot more right with the world and our place in it. everyone always wishes for longer camp time, no one is ready to go home when it ends. I would recommend attending the camp to all, whether you are 10 or 60+. it will be an experience you'll never forget.

My favorite time of the year, 2000 strong camp! Every time I go there I get even closer and closer to Jesus Christ, and to this day I wouldn't miss this camp for the world. The camp helps me become a closer person to god and teaches me more about the Book of Mormon.
A long time ago two very close church friends to my sister and I, named Brennen and Sydney moved away to Kentucky, and we miss them alot during the year. But each year at 2000 strong camp, they come and we spend 5 amazing days with them! I have a blast every year spending all my time learning and knowing that I am doing this for the love of my god. I struggle alot during the school years and I took it hard when I started to get Hormones. Oh Joy! I felt guilty and that every step i took would be a mistake to god. The camp helps me stay who I am and save me in my time of need. Without the camp, I think I would be a very depressed girl lost in the clutches of the cruel world we live in.
There is hope in my heart, and I know that the camp will never die away, no matter what the devil does. 2000 strong camp is extremley special to me, and i wouldn't have it any other way. Keep on the straight and narrow path! 2000 strong camp 2011, here I come!

My personal experience with 2000 strong camp has been one of the highlights in my life time. It has truely has changed the way i look at the Book of Mormon now. I used be be so narrow minded about the Book of Mormon but after this camp, it has changed me to be more open minded about things. Now I am on the straight and narrow path and it feels great!
One of my favorite things about this camp is the people. I absoultly love the people that work there at the camp even though almost half of the people that work there are my family. I grew up with most of the staff that works there so I am super close to everyone there. Another thing I love is the campers. Especially the younger ones, they crack me up! I pretty much love everyone that goes to this camp. They all have a special place in my heart.
Also i love the lessons and testemonies everyone gives at the end of camp. At that time I feel soo close to these people. Its like we are all one big happy family. I would never ever miss this camp for the world.

The caliber of volunteers and donations of those who have tirelessly worked to help kids attend a camp that allows them the chance to change and and grow in the the love of Christ and in following the path is humbling and wonderful. I have seen kids who have become better and stronger people. The camp counselors and staff are dedicated to providing an environment of learning and fun for all youth.

As a founding board member, I have been involved with 2000 Strong Youth for Christ at an intimate and personal level. All board members as well as others involved are volunteers, and almost all of us have regular jobs. Hence, we could probably all say that we wish we could have given this endeavor more time, but in reality and in all honesty, I believe that I and others have sacrificed and given about as much as humanly possible. We're planning for our 5th annual summer camp right now, and it's an awesome feeling to be able to look back and see what has been accomplished. Having said that, I also know I can say that I could have always done more, and we might have done things differently. It is my heartfelt belief that we'll never really comprehend the much of the fruits of our labors; however, what we do see excites us and motivates us to do even more for the young people who are the recipients of the work of 2000 Strong.

Always encouraging me to do the right thing. At the end of the 2000 Strong Adventure Camp I always feel like part of the family with all the other kids and the organization. I always love being around the staff. They are amazingly kind to everyone. No one feels left out around them.

2000 Strong Youth for Christ is dedicated to bringing youth to the knowledge and teachings of Jesus Christ found in the scriptures. Our organization has been privileged to serve youth at the annual 2000 Strong Adventure Camp which provides the opportunity to have fun and build friendship bonds that will last a lifetime. The youth become each other's support group and they help each other stay committed to living a life of integrity and honesty.
