I've been honored to volunteer with 12:31 for nearly a year now. Prior to joining 12:31, I felt as if I was being called to do more for our community in some way and my faith led me to this amazing organization. 12:31 answered prayers and has been more fulfilling that I ever could have ever known.
My husband has also assisted in various ways, along with our 13 year old son and 10 year old daughter. It’s important for us to provide ways for our kids to learn and grow while serving without expectation of anything in return. We all participated in 12:31’s Annual Christmas Party that supports those in need. I’ve also been fortunate to assist with LT Collective, which is an organization comprised Lake Travis High School Students that gather and study Biblical teachings as they develop and mature at this critical stage in life.
12:31 has truly been a blessing to me, our family, and to our community overall. I’m so happy to be small part of it.
12:31, an answer to a daughters prayer. Sitting with my journal, heavily burdened for the needs of my parents, I made my requests made known to the Lord. I listed them ALL out! I had been carrying them for quite some time and as I was able to knock some off the list, the list seemed to get longer. Writing down all that felt heavy seemed to move the burden from my heart to the feet of Jesus. A day or two later I came across a post from 12:31 - it was their Christmas post for families in need. I wrestled with sharing the needs thinking surely this is just for young families, hoping to get gifts for their kiddos for Christmas. I went back and forth before deciding to humbly (and it was humbling) to put my parent’s name in the “hat.” Within one week of submitting my request first to the Lord then to 12:31 - EVERY need was met, including the one I was too afraid to ask for! But if you know Mike he has a way of digging deeper! I still cry thinking of the day I got the call. I hadn’t realized how heavy the burden was until it was lifted. Little did we know it would be my dads last Christmas as he sadly passed just 3 months later but not before receiving an answer to his own prayer's, I’m sure! 12:31 is truly the Acts 2 church, a commonwealth, where none had need! I’ve watched them over and over again meet the needs of many, no discrimination, no need too big or small. As the community has shown up repeatedly, I’ve seen 12:31’s faith grow as well, to go after the greatest of needs and I believe every one has been met! Go God! Forever grateful!
12:31 is a group that sits at the same school sports events with us, the family we pass by at the grocery store, and whose kids are friends with mine.
12:31 is also the person you message at 4am for help when you’re hiding in a room with your three children because your partner is belligerent and kicking in doors, while you’re on the phone with 911 and the new baby is crying.
12:31 is the one that says, when you’re ready, we are here by your side. Not just for the moment, but for the entire journey to re-establishing yourself, saving yourself and your children.
12:31 is the group that not only got us out safely, but secures the U-Haul to load your life into. 12:31 is the message checking in on your mental health while you navigate survival. 12:31 is the reason my kids were able to get new clothes for school and eat out for dinner somewhere nice, for once. 12:31 paid a few months rent to allow me to get back on my feet. 12:31 put a mechanic at my doorstep to help get my car running. 12:31 put groceries in the fridge and breath back in my lungs.
12:31 believed in me. 12:31 gave me another chance at life.
12:31 helped me find a job locally, where I’m now thriving. 12:31 gave me the chance to regain my strength, stand on my own feet, and truly breathe again.
12:31 is real life angels, walking around right here in my own community, providing peace and comfort to those who have lost faith.
12:31 is the reason I am who I am today, unwavering in my faith in myself, humanity, my community and my future.
Thank you for EVERYTHING you have done for me and my kids. Our lives have forever been changed for the better and we will always remember and stay inspired in the love and compassion we have been shown.
What is 12:31? It’s a late night call to house the homeless, a meal to the hungry, a repaired home to the dilapidated house, its JOY of the LORD to the downhearted. Put simply, this organization is the hands and feet of Jesus to the needy! As a local member of this community I’ve seen and been able to share in a small way to the IMPACT that this organization has had to both families down the road from me, to teachers needing of support, kids and families and Christmas time, and hungry High School Teenagers showing up to serve and learn about Christ. A servants heart is at the core of 12:31, and I’m proud to see and share the continued impact that God is making through this organization!
Hi, I'm a mother of 7 and work full time. Have 2 kids in elementary and one in high school and one in middle school so I'm busy ALL the time. But just to have someone help with the smallest thing in our house hold is of a big difference, we live on a paycheck to paycheck and our money is always tight. So our family is so blessed to have meet 12-31 and Mike in our path. To have a organization in our community that can help us when we need it most is such a blessing.
We live in a RV park and in December I got the chance to help with rounding up the families with kids in our RV park, so they can receive gifts. It was a really nice feeling to see all the kids tell me what they wanted and to be happy to receive gifts for Christmas. When it was the time to deliver the kids I had sweet messages a call from the families thanking 12-31 for making the Christmas such a special one, since most of the families and ours included we can't always afford as many gifts for our little ones. And to see our kids smiles is such a joy for us. To have someone help out on Christmas with our kiddos was such a special feeling. Our RV park families were so thankful and felt so loved.
12-31 is not the gifts we received and the help we get on groceries for he summer, it's to know we have someone that cares, to have someone that can help when we struggle. It's more then a blessing it's a relief from stress and a feeling of relief in our times of struggle.
My family is so appreciative to what 12-31 has given us and our community.
12:31 ah it impacted my family in such a way that now we can feel safe and confident, that there are people in our community willing to help, sometimes we just need a hand on the shoulder to be able to have the confidence to get ahead... that's it 12:31
I had help in 2022, I don't remember how I found them... but they took care of buying clothes for my children for the return to school, and that made the difference, there was no more worry about that. My husband works in lawn scape and the work is sometimes slow or in cold and rainy weather it stops and that sometimes makes us prioritize other things: rent, car, insurance and other things... but they gave me peace of mind at that time, sometimes we put things aside, clothes and things necessary for the family. As parents we know that the priority is the children. They gave me confidence and security with that help, they have helped me sometimes, more at Christmas my children are very happy, thanks to them they can have something they want. I know Mike personally and I am very grateful to him and everyone behind him that we don't know for always caring and looking after the well-being of my family.
Such a true and amazing blessing!!!! My kids and I went through starting the end of 23 and almost a lot of 2024 a blessing came into the picture and I met Mike and with his support and the support of 1231 made a miracle happen. We now have a beautiful 3 Bedroom Pl. to live in. We had a great set up a new beginning after I left a very violent and abusive relationship just when I had given up when I say give up, I mean really right to just give up it was hard to fight and with the faith of God I couldn’t and I was blessed with angels, knowing he could be able to ever understand how blessed how thankful how grateful I am it is really my kids are happy and that’s just the best thing to me ever so thank y’all so much amazing true blessings!!!!
I am a student and have loved volunteering with 12:31. I love the genuine desire to help others that 12:31 has. I also love spending time with the people that 12:31 helps. They are great people! The back-to-school bash has been my favorite event to help out with. You can just tell how genuinely grateful the families 12:21 helps are.
12:31 has allowed me to keep my job and work the hours needed to provide for my family by paying for extended care for my son. This may not seem like much to some, but it has been everything for myself and my son. It has given me peace of mind to know that my son is safe while I'm working. By the time I pick him up, his homework has been completed and he is so happy to being able to be among other kids while I am working. You have made a huge impact in our lives and for that, I am grateful. Thank you 12:31.
