This place is just a house. Its not a retreat. There aren't any counselors or clinicians. Its simply a house with a large kitchen and bedrooms. They do not provide meals. They host AA meetings and that's it. They charge a great fee and what you get is basically a roof over your loved ones head. No emotional support no counselors.
Review from Guidestar
110, inc helps men recover from alcoholism and addiction. This non-profit runs Cross Keys Retreat in Wenham Massachusetts and Number 16 in Wakefield Massachusetts. This organization has an uncommonly high success rate, bringing many hopeless addicts to full recovery.Their method is to follow the 12 Steps as in the book "Alcoholics Anonymous".
My son is a heroin addict who went through their program and is now over two years sober. Many other doctors and treatment programs had previously not been helpful to him.
Extensive support is also offered to the addict's family. This support has been invaluable to me.
Donations to the scholarship fund are used to give access to the program to men who could not otherwise afford to attend.
110 inc is providing a valuable service to the addicts/alcoholics, their families, and to the greater community as men are transformed from costing society to contributors. 110 is well worthy of charitable contributions.
