Alliance for Children is an organization that provides a voice to children and families that may feel like they no longer have one. It assists families learn to become survivors instead of victims. Not only are families emotionally supported by this organization, but their specific needs are also assessed and resources are provided to families in all different types of situations. Because AFC has a bilingual staff, Spanish speaking families do not "fall through the cracks". Instead, they feel supported because they can communicate their needs in their language and they will be understood.

I have worked with families from the intake process through graduation night. It is amazing to see how people that were in such distress at the beginning, make such positive changes throughout their time at AFC. Graduation night provides hope for a better future for families that are graduating. In addition it provides motivation and encouragment for families in the beginning phases of their healing process.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would love for AFC to have increased funding in order to be able to provide individual and family counseling to those in need.
