During chapters of my life when I had no brick-&-mortar faith community to speak of, GCN offered me the loving support and empowering community that I needed in order to grow further in my faith & be reconciled to my identity as a gay person. From the few years I spent as an active posting member there, I experienced and witnessed countless others experience transformation directly as a result of access to other faithful gay Christians and so many loving allies. The effect of GCN on my young adult life is not to be underestimated. I regard them as highly worthy of any available funding or institutional support.
