This was the hardest working vacation I've ever taken. That said I would return in a heartbeat. To bring together professionals from all over the world and have them create a TEAM in just over two weeks is incredible. In over thirty years of hospital service I have never felt so valued and at the same time humbled by those I was working with and for - the patients of Arequipa, Peru.
Panting for breath on the fourth floor outside the ICU, chasing parts, working day shift, racking my brain for Spanish words that weren't quite there anymore -
the patients , they made it all worthwhile.

The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the faces of the patients we helped. The need is real and there is something that I as one person can do as a part of this team. My time can help someone live a better, longer and healthier life.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Try for more logistical assistance from the governments where we're helping. They should be willing to substantially support this organization.
