National Union of Jewish LGBTQQI Students
November 2, 2009

I attended NUJLS's annual conference last year and was amazed by the sense of community that was developed in one short weekend. I have since worked for NUJLS as a volunteer and am even more amazed at how much NUJLS does to support queer Jewish students beneath the surface.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the support they have given me, both in providing a community and teaching me how to organize things like this

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

More feedback...

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

really really cool!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

a) hire more staff and b) do so many things I can't even imagine

Ways to make it better...

there were events more than just once a year

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

monetary

KESHET INC
June 24, 2009

Keshet makes me wish I had grown up in the Boston area because I would love to have been involved with the Queer Jewish Youth Group. My first experience with them was when they brought HINENI to my high school, a pluralistic Jewish school where we weren't allowed to have a GSA. It was really powerful to see another girl struggle with the same things I was. Since the I have moved to Boston and attended a few Keshet events. Having the queer Jewish presence is wonderful, even if I can't make it to many of their events.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the amazing reception that my partly Conservative high school had to HINENI.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

being around other queer Jews

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

not as helpful as I'd hoped they would be.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

create a real national presence.

Ways to make it better...
