Hi, I would like to Thank The Childhood leulemia Foundation, my 12yr. old son gas been in remission for over a year. During his intensive radiation treatment he lost most of his hearing in his right ear and some in his left. The Dr. said it was a direct result of the radiation and he would never recover what hearing was lost. We were devistated, another blow to his young life. We sougt a hearing specialist, who suggested he wear hearing aids. When we looked into the special type that was needed we found out the cost was $1,850.00 dollars each, we could not afford them at thi s point. I was directed to contact the Childhood Leukemia Foundation, upon doing so, the dircetor asked me some questions, and wanted the social workers information along with my sons. Within one week my son was fitted with two special hearing aids, and the cost to us was zero, TheChildhood leukemia Foundation, picked up the entire cost. I can not thank them enough, they are a God-send, to this day he,s hearing and doing well, again I must thank them for their generoosity and unconditional help. Thank You, Harry. R.
