NPC is the heart and soul of San Francisco's park movement, encouraging citizens to take better care of their parks and influencing the local government's allocation of funds for park improvements and open space preservation.
The organization recently partnered with the city to introduce the new online tool, parkscan.org, where anyone can report an issue they see in a SF park (broken swing, missing playground components, graffiti). pretty cool.
NPC is the driving force behind hundreds of park groups throughout the city- its such a great organization and I love being an intern for such a great non-profit
