Breedlove Foods, Inc.
December 2, 2011

I admire Breedlove Inc. (Breedlove Inc., www.Breedlove.org & 806-741-0404. TTHolder42@Yahoo.com) for all of these life-saving reasons: Transforming lives through hope & encouragement. Partnering globally to provide nutritious food the world’s most vulnerable. Serving with love, respect, integrity, excellence & innovation. A food bank for the planet’s 1.2 starving people (1/6th of humanity: 30,000 children & adults dying daily from starvation); listed in The Guinness Book of Records: 1+B cumulative servings since 1993 to 75+ countries through 80 international faith, non-governmental & governmental partnerships (including United States Department of Agriculture’s US Agency for International Food Relief Program/IFRP & US Agency for International Development/USAID & Evangelistic International Ministries/GO Center). Breedlove, the world’s sole non-profit dehydrated food manufacturer, dehydrates potatoes, mixes, bags, boxes & ships 80 food products worldwide: potato, milk & soy-based Ready To Use Food/RTUF single-serving packet; also, ready-to-eat after simmering in water for 30 minutes. Now providing approximately 1M* daily servings & simultaneously offering educational & health information to the world. Service-learning engagement with Texas Tech University faculty & their G-Force students through Dr. John Kobza’s first-year Industrial Engineering class designed a project trying to convert the boxes used to ship Breedlove food into small solar ovens: www.facebook.com/BreedloveFoods?ref=tn_tnmn; Dr. Cathy.Duran@TTU.edu (business) & Dr. Katie.Langford@TTU.edu (communication studies). Overhead expense is built into the cost of the product & is held to around 3%. Over the past several years that figure has stayed as low as 4.7 cents per serving (depending on specific product blend & other factors) to process, package, warehouse & load each serving. To order a DVD or VHS with episode about Breedlove, visit www.TexasCountryReporter.com/Show.htm & select Breedlove’s 4-25-’09 listing.
