Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners
August 13, 2009
The event, held at a park, was very well organized, with plenty of staff on hand and volunteers to explain each activity and cheer them on. I had as much fun as the kids, and it was particularly great to know that these kids were enjoying a safe, healthy afternoon. Two boys who were doing the 3-legged race really concentrated and worked as a team. It was wonderful to see how proud they were to win, but also how much fun all the teams had, just participating. I would definitely do this again, and would like to find other ways to help out with the CONECT program.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that there is a place for everyone who wants to volunteer—from helping in the food shelf to answering phones, to providing rides to medical appointments, to helping plan events. Whatever I do, I get back much more than I give!
