LUMPKIN COUNTY LITERACY COALITION
August 4, 2009

Our volunteers, including Board members and outstanding program committee members such as the Spelling BEE Planning Group, help put literacy in the forefront of this community. Helping youth get the GED diploma, giving dictionaries to third graders, and mailing age-appropriate books from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to pre-schoolers every month without cost to the family would never happen without our excellent large cadre of volunteers.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

reducing the impact of illiteracy on the economic development of this community by helping young people secure the GED diploma.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

continue to do as I do.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the energy and time that volunteers devote to tutoring youth and helping raise funds for the many projects of the Literacy Coalition

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

absolutely above average.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

start a massive community education program aimed at making youth successful as they begin their lives as responsible adults.

Ways to make it better...

funding were more readily available.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

expressing our accomplishments to the community.

One thing I'd also say is that...

this community has great potential in reducing illiteracy.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
