Cambodian Children's Fund

I met Scott Neeson in Los Angeles several years ago and he impressed me with his vision and passion. I became a sponsor of Pean Sophy, a delightful little girl, and our correspondence has become an important part of my life. A couple of years ago I went to visit Sophy in Phnom Penh and was blown away by the incredible work that CCF is doing there. Meeting the team and some of the children in person brought Scott's vision to life for me. CCF sees a need - maternal health for example - and then does something about it. They are changing whole communities day after day. I am so thankful that I had that lunch with Scott all those yeas ago because it led me to the most meaningful cause to get involved with.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them more funds to do more good! They do so much with so little but it is frustrating for them knowing that there are only so many children they can help at one time.

I first got to know about CCF a few years ago, when a good friend of mine told me about visiting Cambodia and meeting Scott Neeson and the children there. I subsequently had lunch with Scott and my friend while Scott was on a fundraising visit to LA, and I was blown away by his passion and clear-sightedness. I now sponsor a child at CCF and it has been one of my greatest joys. Although we have never met, we write to each other regularly, and I get to see photos from her life at CCF and hear about all the ways in which her life has improved since being there. This is the real deal: these kids have their lives transformed by what Scott and the CCF are doing. I am planning to take my family to Cambodia to meet our child and to experience for ourselves what great things are happening there because of the vision and determination of one man. You will not regret getting involved with this 5 star charity.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the wonderful letters and photos that I receive from Sophy, bearing witness to the remarkable changes that have occurred in her life.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

only make it better known here in the States. Breaking the poverty cycle can only improve everyone's lives.

MY ROLE:
Donor & I sponsor Sophy, one of the children staying at CCF.
