My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for GREYHOUND ADOPTIONS OF FLORIDA INC, Sparr, FL, USA
I became a volunteer for two years for Greyhound Adoptions of Florida. I was really moved by its founders, Marilyn and Bob Varnberg's commitment to helping retired racing greyhounds get a second chance in life by becoming adoptable companion pets. Marilyn has built a strong, loyal and passionate army of volunteers who help educate the public how beautiful greyhounds are, what great pets they make and finding homes for dogs that may never have gotten a chance to get off the racetrack and onto the couch of a loving pet owner. Marilyn is a role model for many people and she inspires me and countless others to follow one's heart and to do work for the greater good, whether it is finding adoptive homes for greyhounds or any other type of charitable work.

Review for The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, Wilmington, DE, USA
I met Joe McDonough at the beginning of 2011. I was impressed by his devotion and dedication to helping fight kids cancer. His compassion and empathy for families going through an unimaginably difficult and life-changing experience is genuine. In a few short years, the B+ Foundation has done good work to heighten public awareness of childhood cancer and been a leader to help educate, raise funds and work towards better treatment and funding and hopefully one day eradicating this disease.
