Children Awaiting Parents, Inc.
April 29, 2011
I was recruited in 2010 as a volunteer for Children Awaiting Parents 2011 A Toast to Spring Committee, their largest annual fundraising event of the year. I wasn't sure what to expect or how my talents may or may not fit into what they were looking to accomplish. They welcomed me with open arms and were receptive to some new ideas I brought to the table, while never wavering from their mission or beliefs. Their staff and all of their volunteers that I've interacted with are smart and professional. They are an efficient and creative group that is committed to accomplishing great things. They recruit and surround themselves with other hard working, passionate people, and express their appreciation every step of the way. Their approach to building and growing relationships with a diverse cross-section of the community to help build awareness and support of their mission is telling and is something I believe has contributed to their success. I am amazed at what they have accomplished since they were founded, as well as in just the past couple of years, and am proud to align myself with their organization. I will continue to offer them my support with reservation. Sky's the limit for this tremendous non profit.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Our 2011 A Tost to Spring Committee was able to achieve almost triple the proceeds of the year prior for our fundraising event, exceeding their goal and everyone's overall expectations.
