I have volunteered with UCM. I find it to be an excellent resource for those in need in our community. The wide range of services (food pantry, early childhood education, workforce training, etc) is a great safety net for our community. Services are provided with a great amount of compasion and caring. Contributions are managed well and spent to help those in need with a small administration cost.

MY ROLE:
Volunteer

I participated in UCM's homeless walk, holiday room and food pantry. This is a caring well-run organization that helps our local familes in need. UCM is helping with food, utilities, job training, child care and so much more. The parents who come to the holiday room were so grateful for the help so that they could give to their children. They also received holiday food. It was a meaningful experience for me and UCM helps people daily with their needs and helps people to help themselves through job skills! It is an organization you would be proud to be a part of!
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing parents joy in receiving help at the holidays and everyday at the food pantry.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
provide more funds so that they can expand their job skills program to get people in need back to work!
MY ROLE:
Volunteer & Helped parents with choosing gifts for the holiday room. I helped stock the food pantry. I helped organize a group to walk and raise funds for the homeless.

This is my favorite charity because UCM helps those in need while ensuring each family's personal needs and dignity. The services help families and children with housing, job training, children's education, food, clothing, utilities and more.

I have seen the families satisfied when their needs were met. The love and respect they received from the staff was just as important as the material items.

I would provide more funding so that more families could receive help.
MY ROLE:
