Swan Center Outreach Inc

I have loved and been uplifted by Swan Center Outreach and it's programs for many years. Seeing the transformations in the eyes of the children and adults who participate is so rewarding. None more so than the transformation in my own daughter after her first visit to the ranch.
Autism, as most of you know takes many forms, for my daughter, central audio processing disorder robs her of the confidence and self assuredness that most children enjoy. Overcoming her fears and countering them with positive experiences is a part of our daily lives. We are always looking for leverage to lift those walls of doubt and move forward. Enter...Thunder the Magnificent and Rose and John Longhill, co-founders of Swan Center Outreach.
Within moments of arriving, Callie Rose was no longer clinging to my arm and hiding behind me, she had shared apples with the minis and was talking to them as if they were old friends. Shortly thereafter, Thunder entered the arena, a rescued polo pony with a kind nature but an occasional stubborn streak. After careful and loving instruction, Callie Rose mounted and was holding the reins. In no time, she was riding, on her own, making turns and smiling. "Can we go faster Mom?" I can't begin to tell you the shift that made in our hearts.
After thanking Thunder for her ride, sharing an apple and leading him to the pasture Callie Rose walked across the paddock happy and self confident. It was a milestone and the leverage we have since used to encourage other great strides. If you can ride a horse, then there are other great things you can do as well, agreed?
I attribute these transformational experiences to the safe, loving environment at Swan Center Outreach and the masterful tutelage of the founders and others who understand the importance of uplifting a child. And, of course, to Thunder the Magnificent.

There is no other feeling that can compare to the smile on a child's face when they ride that horse for the very first time. It's a great testament to Swan Center Outreach that they have so many successes.

Participants will find The Mission Statement of Swan Center Outreach to be an understatement to the vital experiences they can receive through Swan Center Outreach Activities and Programs. The true value, facilitated by the directors and expressed through the animals is the incalculable value of making a connection.

Personal transformation occurs daily. All beings (human included) are encouraged to thrive and grow through natural expression and exploration. The rescued become the rescuers. The experience of unconditional love and acceptance is a rare and beautiful thing, one that must always be acknowledged and expanded. Join me in supporting Swan Center Outreach, just for the love of it.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I cherish my times spent volunteering and participating. Witnessing transformation is an humbling and rewarding experience. The joy and fun I carry in my heart. My niece and nephews still remember the names of the horses they rode on their Jingle Bell Ride in 1993.

I would like to see Swan Center Outreach nationally recognized for it's longtime contribution to scouting. As a Girl Scout Leader this organization is the embodiment of the Promise and the Law we strive to uphold.
