A BETTER WAY MINISTRIES INC
April 18, 2011

A Better Way Ministry is one of the biggest scams going. The Better Way logo is used in over 15 local businesses to give the impression that supporting those businesses supports the nonprofit Ministry. In reality, a majority of those businesses are LLCs, not part of the nonprofit. The only relationship is that A Better Way uses the men who come to them for help to "work" at these businesses, while all the profits go to the same person who owns the LLC. The land and homes used to house the men assisted by this charity are NOT owned by the nonprofit, but privately owned by the same person who owns the LLCs! This charity is a flagrant abuse of the 501c3 status for personal profit. I don't recommend any support until these practices are discontinued.

Put all the LLCs using the Better Way name under the nonprofit, as well as all the property being used by the ministry, so that money made from them would go to the actual charity and not into personal profit. If that was done, this charity would be self-sustaining. None of the LLCs connected to A Better Way have to report their profits, as they are using the name but are not part of the charity.

CANCER FUND OF AMERICAN SUPPORT SERVICES INC
April 18, 2011

This charity spends $6,000,000 a year on fundraising and only gives away $1,000,000 in a supporting grant to Cancer Foundation of America.
What a scam. They use aggressive telemarketing to acquire donations, using "cancer" and "hospices" and "poor patients who can't afford medical supplies" as their catch phrases to prey on your sympathies. Do Not Be Fooled by this poorly run excuse for a 501c3 into giving them any of your money!

Stop paying out so many salaries and start using more than 13% of the money they collect for the purpose of their nonprofit status.

Donor & Received a telemarketing phone call.
