Girls Incorporated of New York City
April 6, 2011

The Girls Inc. of NYC motto is to be "Strong, Smart, and Bold."
Girls Inc. is a great opportunity for girls to apply themselves and learn hands on subjects and about themselves in a safe and friendly environment. They have the opportunity to connect and an outlet for creativity in art, music, science, and writing.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Inspiration is a cycle of inspiration..inspire others and you also rewarded by inspiring yourself.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would love to have the organization participate in more schools in NYC. I would also loved to have the program when I was in school.

Very Well

Definitely

have the opportunity to have socializing out of the time provided. More "lesson" planning preview, review, and feedback.

Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)

I learning new skills about teaching and how to connect to 6th and 7th graders (8th graders so far have been challenging unless they are self motivated to learn and contribute into the program).

How did this volunteer experience make you feel?

I feel great. I feel that non-traditional teaching is an outlet for career.
