Becky Lee Women's Support Fund
March 31, 2011
As an intern at Becky's Fund, I have not only learned more about domestic violence, but also about the different walks in life people have encountered. I have great respect for victims of domestic violence, especially the survivors who manage to get out of the abusive relationship and are willing to share their story. I also have great respect for Becky Lee, the executive director of Becky's Fund who works tirelessly to make sure that our commuinty becomes more educated about domestic violence. Many people might think that working in a domestic violence organization can become quite depressing, but in reality that's not the case at Becky's Fund. Becky Lee creates a great working environment for her interns, making her one of the best people to work with. Her creativity with the numerous events she holds are great ways of spreading awareness about domestic violence. I am confident to say that my experience at Becky's Fund has been one of the best experiences I've had.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the way I interact with people and view life.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
As Becky's Fund progresses, it would be a good idea for Becky's Fund to have it's own shelter where victims of abuse can go to for help.
