CAMP TO BELONG
March 23, 2011

After working in child welfare for many years, it is refreshing and encouraging to see an organization so dedicated to providing children and youth in foster care a truly unique and empowering experience. Many people take things like summer camp for granted, along with their on-going relationship with siblings. Camp To Belong brings children/youth whose lives have been disrupted together for one week of family fun and provides year round opportunities for connections.
Their advocacy on behalf of siblings helps raise awareness of this important issue in the child welfare system.
The dedication and commitment of this mostly volunteer organization is incredible!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

As a veteran of the child welfare system, I find it uplifting and encouraging to experience the enthusiasm of the Camp To Belong family. Everyone who works in or with this field, or is interested in child welfare would benefit from volunteering with this organization, and improve the lives of vulnerable children/youth in the process!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would have a Camp To Belong program in every state & jurisdiction.
