The Wellness Community Valley Ventura, Inc.

I'm a cancer survivor, times five... I've had Hodgkin's Disease twice, Breast Cancer, Melanoma and Thyroid (Hurtle Cell) Cancer, spanning 23 years. I volunteer as a Orientation Leader. I watch people that come in - usually newly diagnosed and absolutely panicked - find comfort and hope in TWC's facility/services being there for them. They go from a feeling of isolation, to knowing that they are NOT alone, and that they will find support and empathy from caring professionals, volunteers and other patients that are sharing their journey.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the faces of those who find comfort and peace while dealing with a horrendous disease.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

not be able to suggest anything more than what they are doing now.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the friendships forged during the shared battle.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

unfailingly professional, nurturing and supportive.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help even more people... there is never adequate money for fighting this increasingly virulent disease.

Ways to make it better...

I could have found adequate words to comfort those who are so devastated that they are still reeling from the diagnosis.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

always going to be funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I am so grateful for all the love, resources and support that is given to those of us in a struggle for a good quality of life in the face of Cancer.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
