I have to give this organization a poor review. I made a donation to the organization and attended a few events with Women's eNews. I am a writer in the city and a number of individuals that I know wrote pieces for the magazine. The stories I heard about the treatments of writers was horrendous, extremely late payments from the administration, disrespect from the President. I was wary but continued to investigate as it was an organization that I wanted to support. I later found out that the treatment of the writers extended to interns and staff as well, having heard a poor report from a past employee. All in all, I was disappointed at the management of Women's eNews, and found I could no longer support them with my dollars.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
by reading the stories they publish, speaking to the writers, staff and interns who work there.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Make sure that the leadership was taking succession planning and building their talent bench very seriously. They need to diversify and make sure that the organization is not run by only one person.
Professional with expertise in this field & I donated to women's enews and attended events. .
