Review for Lung Cancer Alliance, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My father passed away in 2005 and LCA was one of the first people we went to for help with doing something for the cause. They not only pointed us in the right direction but I can truly call their staff a family friend. They have touched my family and I forever and I will be forever grateful for their help, research ,tools and knowledge of this disease. Thank you LCA and keep up the good work.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the warm and friendliness of each one of them. Also the money that they receive goes not only to fund their campaigns but for research and for helping other families as well, that is a rare thing to find.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

absolutely amazing and I will remember them always.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the world as we know it about lung cancer and the "idea" that people think of it.

Ways to make it better...

I could of actually been a part of their group but my own life experiences prevented me of such.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the politicians and going to D.C. and be heard.

One thing I'd also say is that...

LCA is a wonderful organization. I commend the founder and can only hope that all of their hard work and volunteers know that they are making a difference on a daily basis, thank you LCA!

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2008

Role:  Donor & I held a walk in my father's name in my hometown and donated the proceeds to LCA who was the official sponsor of my walk for three years.
