Review for Mama's Kitchen, San Diego, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a volunteer with this organization for the past five years. Every effort from the daily prep volunteers, food delivery drivers, event management and social outreach is done on a 99 percent volunteer basis. This is the only volunteer driven social and charitable organization in San Diego County that serves the ENTRE County of San Diego, 7 Days a week, 3 Meals a Day. "Nourishing the Heart, One Meal at a Time"...is our motto, supporting those with HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Leukemia and other Critical Illnesses is our service and duty to our community. We are an army of many, determined to serve each and every one who has a need in our community.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Knowing that we serve all without any hesitation or discrimination.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

ranged frm 8 to 85... It's soo amazing to see the many faces of San Diego step up to make a difference!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

i would only hope it was enough to nourish all hearts, one meal at a time.

Ways to make it better...

If I had known about Mama's Kitchen 16 Years Ago

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Financial Crisis affects all of us, but "Bread & Butter" Members keep us going when times are tough...

One thing I'd also say is that...

If you can call San Diego your home, and you have one hour a month to offer, please inquire on how you can volunteer with this organization today at www.mamamskitchen.org to to this cause financially or in kind please contact the kitchen 619-233-6262

Review for The Trevor Project, Inc., West Hollywood, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a member of our community, with my religious upbringing, i have had the unfortunate circumstance to see others, especially in my 18-20 year old years of life to see friends give into the TREMONDOUS and illogical pressures imposed upon them. If the Trevor project existed in San Diego and Orage county when i was but youngling, I beleive there would have been less losses and more peope here today who realize...your family are those who you choose, not always those we are born with. Support the Trevor Project, be it here at home or anywhere in the world. We can all participate and grow our world to make EVERY community count.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

as many prblems that are out there in the world, i know I can make an immediate difference by making myself and my own experiences an additional resource to my community

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Engaged, Driven and committed to make a difference

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Effect every community in our nation, even then even some others throughout the world

Ways to make it better...

I had known about this project sooner

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

heping younger members of our community understand that they are not alone

One thing I'd also say is that...

a good friend brought me on board, and i still want to know more... we are all royalty and desrve to be told so!
