I just read Jurate Kazickas article about Eve Ensler's "City of Joy" in the Congo. That story came to life right on my screen, no video needed, just Eve's energy and the writer's heart. No mainstream media reported on this story or if they did, no way could they portray the story as this writer for Womens Enews did. So if you have empathy for Congolese women raped because they're bystanders in a resource war -- by the way, a resource war that allows us from the West to indulge in our personal electronics -- than you really only have one choice: Womens Enews for comprehensive and unbiased coverage. It makes me numb to think the mainstream media may decide to bury the story because their sold-out to SONY advertising dollars. Womens Enews, on the other hand, inspires me!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
For news about the Congo and Congolese women and other controversial issues the mainstream media is too afraid to cover or sold-out to cover, you have an outlet a nonprofit that doesn't bend to outside pressure...Womens Enews.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
No changes, like it just the way it is.
General Member of the Public & I've written about the resource war in the Congo and well aware of the plight of Congolese women.
